For the @ Freakshow comic that the author said most won't get, is it that @ hangs itself and becomes an angel? - The Heptagon
Philip: Nope. It's supposed to look like he hung himself; but instead he's a cocoon and becomes a butterfly.
Eh? Proof? Proof is a myth, there is only faith. Prove to me that matter and energy and the world and you and I and the universe all exist. Then we'll talk about proving God exists, and the countless things within the mightily narrow paradigm of human perception that point to Him and Him alone.

..erm, okay, I guess I can stop theologizing now. Sorry.

Psst! Philip! I took a look at that site, and it was interesting, but hard to navigate. Any suggested reading? - TK421

Philip: Subscribe to Ex Nihlo. ^_^ I compare God to the wind. Can you see the wind? You see the effects of the wind; but you can't see the wind. You see the effects and that's how you know it's there. Oh, before people jump. Bad stuff is the results of the effects of the Original Sin. But, luckily, Jesus downloaded a patch for us. ^_^
That rumor seems pretty bloody unlikely.  Not the fact that Nintendo and Sega are teaming up (I think that's a good possibility), but this just sounds..wrong.  It sounds like something some prankster could whip up on the web in 10 seconds.  "Ages" and "Odnetnin"?  Come on... - tr
Philip: Magic Box posted it. I just thought it was odd. I think it's bogus. But, hey.. we got SNK VS Capcom, a Nintendo Fighting game, Metroid 4, and Sega/Nintendo have been swapping properties around a bit lately. Tetris, Columns, Sakura Wars... suspicious. Anyways, Sega usually takes the stand of "Unless it connects some how to the Dreamcast, no can do." Since it's a two part game, and both systems are 128 Bit, and stuff.. umm.. Game Boy Advanced is flexible. Imagine hooking it up to the Game Cube, downloading something, than hooking it up to the Dreamcast and uploading something. Both systems use media that holds only a Gig or so as well. Hmmm. As for names? Waluigi, anyone?
I've been thinking about MSTing Pokemon The First Movie.
Anyone know where I can find the script online? - Farfetch'D
Philip: Dunno.. but I hope I find it first.. he he  Dawn Spawn!
That "dream team" RPG sounds pretty cool, sort of like the "SNK vs. Capcom" thing.  I actually had an idea for a Nintendo/Sega fighting game, with the following characters:

Nintendo:
Mario
Luigi
Peach
Yoshi
Toad
Donkey Kong
Kirby
Link
Wart (from SMB2/USA)
DeDeDe
Wario
Bowser

Sega:
Sonic (of course)
Tails
Knuckles
Amy
Robotnik
Metal Sonic (from Sonic CD, the more streamlined robot)
Mecha Sonic (from Sonic 2)
NiGHTS
Alex Kidd (with attacks and supers for Rock, Paper, and Scissors ;)
Shinobi
Metal Robotnik (like the big boss from Sonic 2)
and Wizeman (end boss from NiGHTS)

Yes, I'm aware of the absence of Pikachu, but I thought of the concept before I even heard of Pokémon (1996). - JR

Philip: If it used the Smash Bros. Engine.. I'm there.
hey philip,do you know if a cybiko can see advantgo channels?i dont know... pleese tell me!ill give you a bud brownie if you do. - titan25
Philip: Hmm.. Check the advantgo site?
I like the idea of a Sega/Nintendo RPG.  It'll kill Sony if they create a partenership.  I've always said that Sony is the Evil Empire of the gaming industry.  They have the worst system, worst graphics, etc., but they're popular simply because of Square support.  With Square's titles, thousands of Final Fantasy (Which needs to start emphasizing the FINAL - Do you really want to be playing "Final Fantasy 15"? Isn't that just stupid?) players buy a PSX just to play Square's games, which is why developers jump ship.  With thousands of consoles being sold just for a few games that people "can't live without", developers put out lame rip-offs and crappy titles, which will still sell.  Now when Sony announces the PS2, fans instantly say "Oh, it'll blow that queer Gamecube right out of the water!"

OF COURSE IT WILL!  Just because of Square support, people think "PS2 must be a good system if they're developing for it."  Have you seen the other games (that aren't MGS2) for PS2?  Do any of them look exciting, or in any way fun?  The only title I'm interested in is Armored Core, and this is out of a list of about 100.  Gamecube, meanwhile, already has a Metroid game in the works, not to mention Nintendo's other superb first and second party offerings.  Dreamcast has great first party titles as well as some great third party work.  But if Nintendo and Sega came together, combining their strengths, they could wipe out Sony.  Imagine - Mario and Sonic running around, fighting Robotnik and Bowser - TOGETHER.  The Nights characters meeting up with Pikachu and Bulbasaur. Samus Aran blasting aliens while Virtual ON mechs battle on the alien's homeworld.  Perhaps even Killer Instinct Vs. Virtua Fighter.  Shenmue 2: Now with old school Nintendo arcade machines.  The 252nd Pokémon: Seaman - Sebulba113

Philip: Hmmm.... I think I will deem you purple today. Actually, I want to see Ecco the Dolphin on Game Cube. I would think it a beautiful.. umm.. completion.

Philip: Cool.
Speaking of Christianity, I saw the funniest gimmick on a Christian channel: Bibleman. You read right: Bibleman. It turns out that Bibleman performs live action shows across the nation. After every show, there is an altar available in which whoever wants to convert (or, more likely, believes that they too will gain super-powers if they become Christian) may walk into it. Bibleman is warping the minds of young children, cult-style! ( http://www.bibleman.com/ ) - Javil
Philip: Does he do a "Bible Bitch Slap"?
Argh!  Dragon Warrior I&II will not be "direct" conversions from the NES.  The names of the characters, towns, archaic language will either be the orginal Japanese names or not be there; I fear to see what else is changed.  Either way, I will buy the cart...

Dragon Warrior I&II will definitely keep me entertained until the GBA... and the new Castlevania!  Konami should consider making a Belmont Pop... Castlevanilla icecream...

Also, either Square or Bandai have to wise up: Square, Nintendo loves you, or Bandai, North America loves you...

P.S.- Cool page, cool new "nifty" features... and cool viral speak. - Lucifer

Philip: They changed names on some of the characters to cover up Eidos translation of Dragon Warrior Monsters. They also *gasp* changed the graphics and the "Open Menu to Open Door" bit.
The Usual Suspects sux. I'm very sorry Charizard 2000 and Globe Flower, but all that it needs is some talent and a crayon. Mmmm... Crayons. Oh, excuse my unawareness to the crayons, I will now feast, Oh! I want green too! You want green too Chu Chu? Crayons No!!! - PURPLEMONKEYSINSTRAIGHTJACKETS
Philip: Hmmm..
We apologize for the inconvenince. - God
Philip: Oh, did you beat my high score at Tetris yet?
Foy still has hope! In a recent issue of Nintendo Power, you had to recreate pokemon names using a phone and its number/letter system. Mew's answer also spelled out F - O - Y. I wasn't looking for Mew, I was joking about, spelled Foy and checked the numbers on the list of pokemon names, and it was listed up there! 369. Maybe I got it wrong.~I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation, we're in space~ - JayGee1
Philip: Cool.
