Contains the Ninth spirit needed to recover the plot..

Philip is listening to: The soundtrack to Parasite Eve 2. (Which is essentially a better score for the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie then the score for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.)

Hey, I just bought a NES in perfect condition at a garage sale, except it didn't come with the AC adaptor or the RFU cables. I think I have CO-AX cables that'll do the trick for connecting it to the TV, but I can't find the AC Adaptor. Do you know the exact voltage requirements for a NES, or a store where I can buy an Adaptor? Can I find it at Radio Shack? I don't think buying it on the net will work, since the mail system where I live barely works anymore. Help? -   Globe Flower
Philip: I think it's 2 volts. Not sure though. It should say on the back where the AC plug is. You can find a replacement easily at Radio Shack.
Ithought you had emulaters thats what the descrption said. You guys suk kind of like the stoners pot palace - PimpTheSuperElf
Philip: Which is why you grow your pot naturally, isn't it?
Actually, the cartridges aren't really hot-swappable.  If you remove a GB/GBC cartridge from the GBA (while it's on), it reboots in GBA mode 'cause the switch-thingy pops back up.  Consequently, if you remove a GBA catridge and plug in a GB/GBC cartridge, the system reboots in GBC mode 'cause the switch thingy is down.  It's a nice bit of engineering. - CX (discovered this the first day)
Philip: However... GBA and GBA cartridges are hot-swappable. Let's say, down the road.. Nintendo and Square got back together and made a port of something that wouldn't fit in one 512 MB cartridge. Like.. let's say an RPG with graphics like FF9. At times, the game would pause and say: "Please switch to Cartridge 2 or 3, etc." The cartridge would revert to a screen similar to the GBA start up mode. And your current "data" would be stored in the GBA's 56k on-board memory. (Which is what it uses to do multi-player games with one cartridge.) Then you would put the second cartridge in and press START+SELECT to make it go again and continue playing. Or not. Most likely, the START+SELECT serves as some sort of test feature.
She's a woman? Well, you've come to the right guy. I know everything about women. Well, everything there is to know about them. And that's why they call me by name, the one and only Hey Joe, whaddya know? - Joe
Philip: A brilliant example to us all.
Hey, I went to EB last weekend, and the employees there didn't treat me like crap - they readily accepted my GB games that I traded and happily handed me a copy of Super Dodgeball...it was weird!

Oh, my Dodgeball review is coming soon, but a quick take:

Don't believe it when people tell you the A.I. is bad.  Turn the difficulty up to five and tell me it's easy...o_O

Speaking of A.I., it took me 7 hours to figure out what I think the ending means.  Although the fact that I thought those super-robots were aliens threw me off.  Anyways, it's a movie I must see again, if only to watch Jude Law do his goofy struts and jives.  And the Flesh Fair.  Love the Flesh Fair scene. - Jethro McB

Philip: Yeah. A.I. was really good.
Hey, I have some cool stuff that you should check out if you have the Zelda: Oracle games! No player's guide has these, but they're cool!

1) Fun with Great Moblin: After you defeat Great Moblin, ask around Sunken City. You'll find out that him and his gang are hanging out in the southeastern house! They're trying to build a new empire (or at least make some bombs!) You can have fun with this! First, pull out a bomb. Then throw it at the bomb pile and exit while the big bombs are blinking red. The house blows up! Later GM and his lackeys come back and rebuild. You can do it again! You can only do it 2-3 times, because then they get smart, knock you out, and leave you to die there. That's bad. Still, it's pretty cool!

2) Linking: If you do a link game, GET THE BIGGORON SWORD!! This thing is so cool!

3) More of a question really: I beat Ages, linked to Seasons, and beat Ganon. What now? I mean, the credits roll, and I get a Secret to get a 2nd (triforce) game in Ages. THEN IT DOESN'T SAVE!!! How do I remedy this? Is there a way to do a link game to Ages from my Seasons game? I don't really want to play an Ages to Seasons game again...Anyone know?

4)Deja Vu: Most of the bosses in these games (minibosses too) are from former Zelda games. Aquementus, Dodongo, Manhandla, Gleeok, Aghanim, the Grim Reaper (hey, he's really Aghanim, power wise at least), Baia, Facade, the 'Zelda 4 Dungeon 6 ball toss guy', and a few others too. This game is more of a mix of all of the other games, with Oracles to boot!

5) More of a tip, really: In Ages, you can use the Harp to kill Pols Voices (the bunny things) just like in every Zelda, the musical instrument kills them. But in Seasons? Never fear, Strange Flute is here! I know this may seem obvious, but you - Super Saiyamew

Philip: Got cut off!!!
Shame, shame, Phil. You no update. What is wrong? Giraffe got your briefcase?

I am writing an interesting story now that may actually qualify as a library story. Shall I send it in? I have about three chapters completed.

You had that new Mountain Dew slurpee? I think it would be good...

Have you noticed that VS is spam, but it's fun spam? Allowed spam is good. Am I not right?

Foo, I'm not.

I'm afraid that you won't post this...then I'll be sad. And you know what happens when I get sad?

*Hijacks Metal Gear and prepares to bomb the whole state of Missouri*

I'll do it! I swear I will!

Oh, by the way, your cookies taste excellent.

T'ank you very much! - Phantom

Philip: I got that story I think.. I have stuff to upload..
high scores for NY city on THPS2?

My personal best is 262,905... - Jumbo

Philip: Hmm.. thinking.. forgot. Too tired to check.
GBStation is closing down.  That's not good.  Maybe we can send the blue virii to live in their servers. - Superguy3000
Philip: I think the Blue Virii would do more harm or... hmm...  maybe we should send them?
Dude... it definitely is a flicker control... it's the same concept as a flicker control for a computer monitor... if you make the flicker higher, than the LCD's won't activate as often, giving the image
a "brighter" look... that's simply because fewer of the actual crystals are electrically charged than before. If you turn it down, it appears darker because the crystals don't change their electrically-charged state... that's why LCDs only work in the presence of a vacuum... and I don't mean a hoover or a bush...

Dude...

Dude...

Where's my car?? - Spooky Mulder

Philip: It's not really flicker control.. it's actually a resistor. So, it's just something to not be messed with.
What is it with these stupid game names. Take Super Mario Bros for instance. Why are the Super Mario Bros called Super if they don't wear capes when they're Super? All heroes with Super in their names are supposed to wear capes! The Super Mario Bros can't fly, can't shoot lasers, all they do is get bigger. They don't even look that different when they're big. Ok, so they can shoot fireballs and do other stuff by getting get power ups, but they're not called Super anymore. When Mario gets a power up his name changes in queer ways. These names can also be used for Luigi. It's not Super Firey Mario, just Firey Mario. It's not Super Racoon Mario, just Racoon Mario. Ok, Mario does get a cape is Super Mario World, but he's not called Super when he wears it. Just Cape Mario! What!!!!!! The one form that actually looks like Super is not called Super! What's up with that. What kind of super heroes are these! Mario and Luigi can't use any super powers in their super form! These guys stink! - The Ranter
Philip: That rant is best read in a Swedish accent.
has anyone realized that the 4th of july lost all its patriotism back in the 60s?now its just an excuse to drink beer and blow shit up...not that i mind that much,i actually tend to exploit it 0_- - titan25
Philip: Patriotism is dead. It has been dead in America for some time. Which is really a shame. I blame it on stupid people and boredom.
Castlevania: COTM is a true 2-D accomplishment. Whoever designed the enemies in that game is a genious. The bosses are amazing. My favorite? Not a dragon, not a zombie, not one, but two dragon zombies! And when you kill one, the other one starts eating the dead one to get health back! I LOVE THIS GAME! - Admiral Tailz
Philip: Hell yeah!! Also check out Tomb Raider: Curse of the Sword!
