Wario Land 3 By Nintendo Brak Plok253@aol.com (for those who don't know, Plok is that cool SNES hero that can shoot out his limbs at enemies.) Size: 32 megabits Save: 1 Save File (Bummer) Released: Late May/Early June 2000 Works with: Gameboy Color only **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Yes! Another Wario Land 3 game for the Game Boy! In this game, Wario is flying his plane, when all of a sudden the engine goes out on him! While searching in the woods, he finds a cave, which he goes inside. Inside the cave is a music box. While looking closer at it, Wario is sucked into the music box! A mysterious looking figure sees Wario and asks him if he can be of help. There are living people inside the music box, and they're being attack be evil gangsters up to no good. Wario agrees to go along with it (once the figure tells him he can have any treasure he finds along the way!) **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game is great. Like Wario Land 2, you can't die, no matter how many times you get hit by an enemy. This is a very nifty feature, and makes the game a heck of a lot less frustrating. Anyhow, there are four keys in each level, each key unlocking a certain treasure chest. However, Wario doesn't start out with all of his moves in this game, and some keys can't be obtained until later in the game. Another cool feature in this game is that some of the treasures have uses. They unlock secrets in one of the levels, open the entrance to a new level, or they give you a new move. There are also 8 big coins to find in each level as well. This will keep you interested for a long time! Liked: Long game, and it doesn't change the winning formula! Hated: A little boring at first, but it's nothing that would hurt a perfect score. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Graphics are akin to Wario Land II, yet they're more colorful and the enemies are less simplistic looking. Some of the backgrounds look similar to the ones in Super Mario World! Liked: Colorful, bright graphics Hated: They could've been a little better possibly, but no matter. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Again, the sound is pretty similar to Wario Land II as well. Many of the tunes and sounds are from Wario Land II. Liked: Pretty good music for the Gameboy Hated: A few of the tunes in the prequels were a little better. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: There are a lot of different moves in this game, and there is a feature in the pause screen that tells you how to do all of the different moves Liked: Great play control Hated: nothing **************************************************************************** Improve: Ain't much you can improve RIYL: Wario Land 1 and 2, Mario games, games you can't die in. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Another great game to add to your Gameboy game collection! **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ****1/2 Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 94 Final Score: 94% **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None I think
