Wario Blast Nintendo Reviewed by Myau84 Myau84@aol.com Size: Save: Password Released: Works with: All Game Boys Opening Snide Remarks: People are paying over $15 for this game on eBay. It must be pretty good.... or maybe just hard to find. Description: Wario Blast features Bomberman, but in reality it's just Bomberman GB with Wario in it. The game starts by picking Wario or Bomberman. You battle the computer opponents until you win the best 2 of 3 matches. You'll face one opponent at a time, then two, three, and finally the boss. As with Bomberman GB, you'll gain more abilities such as being able to kick (or whip) the bomb. Gameplay: This game plays exactly like Bomberman GB. The enemies are smarter and they almost play like human opponents, which I like better. Some new features like running are a nice touch. Obstacles such as arrows that control where your bomb goes are cool too. Another great thing are the powerups (or should I say powerdown?) that forbid you to lay bombs. Graphics: Simple characters make simple graphics. This is your usual Nintendo game for Game Boy. Nothing much to complain about. Audio: Eh. Replay Value: It's fun until you beat the second boss. Every single level is the same thing. This game is probably good for playing every once in a while, not consecutively. This game is Bomberman GB. Once you beat the second boss it seems like you've started the game over. Final Analysis: Well, if you like Bomberman GB then you'll like this, being how the two games are practically identical. I wouldn't spend too much if you have that game, but if you've never played Bomberman GB then this will keep you busy for maybe a week. I got bored of it after three days.
