Opening Snide Remarks: First of all, I want to say one thing, I played this 
game for one day and I hated it!

Gameplay Descripion: It is fun until i gets so frustrating you want to smash
your GameBoy with a hammer. The only good thing about the game is that it
has more than 1 game in the cartridge. Of course, 2 of the games are just
R-Type, and R-Type II. The other 3 games are R-Type in color, and R-Type II
in color, and R-Type DX which can only be played on GameBoy Color. DX is just
R-Type 1 and 2 put together.

Liked: It has some pretty cool upgrades for weapons and it is actually 5
games in 1!
Hated: It gets boring faster than you can say R-Type DX sucks!

Graphics Description: The graphics are the same as the original except in
color and the ship is in better porportion. Besides that it is mostly the
same.

Liked: They were very nice in color.
Hated: Too many colors were same.

Sound/Music Description: The music in this game is absolutely terrible. It
sounds like a bunch of notes that were all randomely put togeather. Aside
from that it is also annoying and fuzzy.

Liked: Nothing.
Hated: Extremely fuzzy and annoying.

Play Control/Game Design: This is another place were R-Type DX falls over. I
have to hold the down button for five seconds until I get the ship to fly to
the bottom. Also, the scrolling is way too fast. There are about 50 enemies
on the screen coming back at me when I am on the actual edge of the screen!

Liked: The weaponry design is really cool but can't make up for the poor
sound and control.
Hated: The scrolling is too fast, the ship control is too slow, if I had to
list everything bad about R-Type DX it would probably fill this entire page.

Improve: To improve this game you would need to make an entire different lay
out and just start over.

RIYL: If you like boring games that make you waste your money this is for
you.
