OK! Pokemon Jolt (Johto) League Theme Song (Import) by Pikachu Records Reviewed by Josh "Farfetch'd" Nickerson Released: 1999 Use with: CD Player +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Opening Snide Remarks: I heard the OK! Theme from an MP3 on Napster and I though "I have to get this CD!" That's right, members of Metallica, Napster can actually help promote CDs! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressions: I knew when I bought the CD that it would only have three songs on it. What I wasn't prepared for was how small the actually CD was! The CD itself is a mini-CD, which is the same size the new Gamecube games will ship on next year. It is very cute, with GS Pokemon shapes decorating it. The packaging itself was really neat. The CD was in a thin cardboard and plastic box, which in turn was slipped into a plastic sleeve decorating with pictures of Ash, Pikachu, Lugia and other Pokemon. It also came with a small folded up piece of paper that has lyrics to the songs and instructions on how to open up the Quicktime video (more on that later on). Track 1: OK! - The extended version of the Jolt (or as it's known here, Johto) League theme song played in Japan. It is probably the best song for the series yet. It sounds like a rock song rather than a theme song. I really wish they could have translated it for the US TV series. Track 2: Type: Wild - The English version of the ending song of the Orange League series. The song is very well translated into English, even using the name of Pallet Town as Ash's home town. The singer has a very nice voice. Track 3: OK! Karokie - The Karokie version of OK!, you can either enjoy this as an instrumental track, or get really liquored up and sing it at a karokie bar some night. Extras: Slide the CD into your computer, and you'll be treated to two different Quicktime files. One is the music video of Meowth's Party, which was played as a Gamecube demo back in August. The other is the trailer for the third Pokemon movie, Lord of the Unknown Tower. Liked: Everything! From OK to the movie trailer, this is a great buy. Hated: They should have used a similar mini-cd set up for the Pokemon World CD that Kids WB! Released last year, since that CD had only 3 songs too. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Improve: I would have liked to have a least a couple more tracks added on. Maybe an English version of OK! ? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Final Words: If you are a big Pokemon fan you should get this CD. The only other import that I would recommend over this one is the huge Pokemon Anime Collection +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Score: 94% +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Secrets: You can take the mini-CD around and show it to your friends, then trick them into thinking that you got the beta version of Pokemon Game Cube.
