Mega Memory Card System/accessory by InterAct Reviewed by Super SaiyaMew (supersaiyangoten@hotmail.com) Released: 1999 Height: 3 1/2" Width: 2 1/2" (from top) Depth: 1" (from top) Total Palette: Black and White... ROM Sizes: Holds 100 Saves Use with: Game Boy Color/Some Pockets +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Opening Snide Remarks: Well, after all of the PSX and N64 Memory cards, InterAct decided to put one on the most unlikely system... Gameboy! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressions: OK. Since this is made by the GameShark people, I at first didn't think that it was that good (a GameShark erased my perfect Pokemon game!) Fortunately, I was wrong. This is pretty much a self-explanatory item, with an ability to save battery saves in games like Pokemon, Mario Land 2, and Zelda: Link's Awakening. It's yellow, and you can see the inner circuits. It has room for 100 saves. It has a simple interface, having 'Backup' to save games, 'Restore' to open saved games, 'Delete' to erase a save from the Memory Card, and 'Erase Saved Game' to erase the normal saved game from the game pack. Overall, it's a good device. Liked: Practically everything! Hated: Short-ish file names, it messes up Pokemon GS's clocks, and Yellow version won't copy to Red/Blue version, that kind of thing. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Improve: Real-Time saves (saving high scores on the original Tetris without powering off, etc.), more characters for/longer filenames +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Final Words: If you have a good game save that you don't want to erase, get this! I got it just because I was sick of my PKMN games being erased, as well as Zelda. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Score: % 98.4% +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Secrets: ... use it to save games, not just as a fun yellow doo-dad.
