GBA Bundle Set Made by: Mad Catz Reviewed by: DNukem170 (Duke) Battery Life: Have no idea. I haven't used the light much. Use with: Game Boy Advance +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Opening Snide Remarks: This is a bundle set with all the basic essential you'll need for your Game Boy Advance. We've got a travel case, light with magnifier, AC adapter to use with your battery pak, and REALLY long game link cable with hub for extra links. It costs about $30, which costs less than if you get this stuff separate. The stuff came in the Glacier color, which doesn't go with my Artic color at all. Oh well, I don't care. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressions: I'll start with the travel case. It has the Mad Catz logo on front, and snaps together using the tab/snap thingy you see on suitcases. The thing holds your Game Boy Advance in a special sleeve, while opposite it is a mesh pouch for your other stuff. It holds two batteries, your battery cover, and about two or three games, depending on what games you're bringing. (Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Color/Pocket games) It's tough, durable, and small. It includes a long strap for carrying over your shoulder so you don't have to throw it in the suitcase when carrying your luggage to the car/plane. What's really cool is that the Game Boy Advance holder has special openings for your buttons, link cable, etc. That means you can play your games while it's still in the case! Cool! The battery pak and AC adapter is really cool too. The adapter has a long cord, so it can go far. It hooks into the battery pak, which is in the exact shape of your regular battery cover. That's right, nothing extends out to make the system unconfortable, and there are no extras, like louder speakers (which are loud enough already) or a crap rumble pak. I wish all battery paks were like this! ^_^! Another good buy. The Link cable is....well...a link cable. I haven't used it much yet, but so far it gets the job done. Can't connect to Game Boy Color though. What's cool is that there's a hub in the middle of the cord for another link cable to plug in. Very nice indeed. The light and magnifier...uh yeah. They hook on top of the Game Boy Advance. The light uses its own batteries. It sucks at lighting things up. The magnifier is distracting. The only bad thing about this set. It sucks. Keep your Cobra/Worm Light. Liked: Travel case is small, but cool. Battery pak is perfect. Should be the standard. Link Cable is useable. Hated: Light/Magnifier are useless. Travel case can be a bit cramped. No Nintendo characters looking at the screen on Link cable (>.< Come on Nintendo! Release the Pokémon links over here!) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Improve: No magnifier and have the light like the Worm/Cobra Light. Make the Travel case just a bit bigger. Have a little character peeking over the side.. (I always wanted one!) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Final Words: This is the end-all periphrial (I KNOW I spelled that wrong.) kit you'll need, except for the light/magnifier. Even with that, it's a really good deal. Besides, where can you find a nice battery pak like that! Nowhere! If you pick this up, also get a different light, if you use one. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Score: 90% (100% if not for the Light & Magnifier) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Secrets: Uhh, the light/magnifier folds down! There's a pawprint on the link cable. Umm, one link is bigger than the other? o.O
