Monster Brain G/S(Brain Boy) Accessory by Pelican Reviewed by Alex Morrow (Togepi3@yahoo.com) Released: I think Oct. 2000 Use with: Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Opening Snide Remarks: This is a cheat device for Pokemon Gold and Silver only! It has some other stuff but that's pretty much! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressions: When I got this for christmas I was like, "Cool! Wonder what stuff it can do..."! So I put it in my GBC and put Silver (my testing version) in it and turned on! The first thing you see is a Pelican sign generating colors. Then you get to this menu with a "Flying Through Space" animation in the background with five different choices in the foreground "Start Game, Editor, Colorizer, Memory, and Blast Off. Start Game is, well, a duh! When your done with any editing/colorizing you select this option to go straight to the game. Editor is the heart of this machine! You have tons of options in here... You can change your Name, your Rival's Name, your ID#, your Pack, and your Pokemon. There's also this option to put "Pokes" in it, which are codes you put in to do stuff for the game. I haven't found any yet so if you do, e-mail me. The Colorizer option just colorizes a Non-GBC games. You can customize your own pallete for any game and it will remember it when you put that game in again! The Memory option is like a small Mega Memory Card! You can store any game in it and each game has different sizes of blocks. The memory on this has 72 blocks. Blast Off lets you make the game go at double speed on non-GBC games. I can't recall the other option in there (I'm writing this off the top of my head)! Liked: I loved that you can customize your own Pokemon in the Editor Mode. And I mean from scratch! Select the pokemon, then the attacks, and the level (if you want). And the Item Editor to get rare Items. Hated: I didn't like how you could change the Attack, Defense, Speed, S. Attack, S. Defense to 999 but it's a good thing Pokemon doesn't let it stay that way if you deposit them in a box. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Improve: I don't know. I guess... hmmm... Don't know! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Final Words: If you like Pokemon Gold/Silver, and have beaten the game (I don't like hardcore cheaters), this is for you! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Score: 80% +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Secrets: None that I know of.
