Ken Griffey Junior Presents Major League Baseball GB Edition. Game by Nintendo Reviewed by The Avardancer Released: 1997 Size: 4 Megabits Save: Battery, 1 slot Use with: Any version Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Baseball. Revisited. Now with Ken Griffey Junior, the entire 1997 stats and teams, the Nike license, and more crammed into a four-megabit cartridge. Do I like Baseball? Well, sort of. I bought this game because it was cheap and I wanted to see if I could break that "61" record. Gameplay section: It's Baseball with a fantastic Batting and fielding engine. Did I mention that you can play full seasons and determine thier length? You can also trade and swap people as well. The Statistics are all old, and the two new teams are not here. but you won't really care because the game is fun. The Home Run Derby mode is priceless. The Fielding engine is great; but still suffers. It isn't a game you can pick up and play. Well, the Home Run Derby you can. It's a little arcadish; but that's okay. Graphics: The game looks good and has a lot of animations. It's easy to see and offers normal Super Gameboy Features. Sound: The sound is bittersweet. Hitting the ball sounds good; but the crowd sounds horrible. Oh, well. Music: It's well done; but it gets VERY annoying. Play Control: The fielding is well done; but still suffers from a slight delay. There's also a strange sensitivity to the control that makes it feel like you're shooting a fly in the dark. Final Analysis: Do you like Baseball? You'll like this game with all it's options. The game really cleans up though in Two-Player Home Run Derby. It's an average game though. I find it to be only mildly entertaining.
