Great Greed Game made by Namco Reviewed by Brijo84@aol.com Size: 1 megabit Save: 3 save slots, and an awesome auto save feature Released: 1992 Works with all Game boys ***************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: After reading PAW's review I had to get this game. It took me a while to find it, but I got it off of Funcoland.com and guess what....they have another one for only 14.99. Get it quick!!! ***************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: This is a very unique RPG all around. First off, I have to say the battle system kicks @ss. It is the most original system I have ever seen. You just hit buttons which have been assigned to spells, attacking, dodging, and healing. There are no menus which slow down fights and make them less exciting. The battles are so quick in this game, and boss battles are crazy. There so hectic that if you let your guard down for a second you could be dead. It's much better than RPG's where you can take your time and look through all your items, spells, etc. The game has a very intersting story. The only weird thing was that the characters names almost always have something to do with a food. Some are calorie, springroll, lolly pop, cup cake, etc. But, the names are not a problem at all. There is always something fun, and intersting to do. One of the best things is the auto save system. After every battle, the game is saved. So if you fight a battle, then die a couple minutes later you can just go back to the spot where you fought instead of having to reload your game in. There are also normal save options to, and you can save anywhere you want. Liked: Everything, especially the battles!!! Hated: Nothing ***************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The overhead graphics in towns, and the world map are what you would expect for an RPG. Suprisingly, the battle graphics are good. The game is from 1992 and still looks good. Enemies are well drawn, and your character is not pixelated like in pokemon. Spell effects are kind of weak, but they get the job done. Liked: Everything Hated: Nothing really, but the spell effects could have been better. ***************************************************************************** Sound/Music: The music in this game is great. At first, I thought "what the hell is this?" Then after five minutes it sounded great. I like it as much as megaman music, and I can't get it out of my head. Sounds are pretty good. Nothing extraordinary, but they are definetly good. Liked: Great music, so much different music and it all rocks! Hated: Nothing ***************************************************************************** Play Control: Control in the game is above average. Nothing is annoying, and the battles are so amazing. You always do very very fun things in the game. I have to tell one example... Near the beginning, you have to help a Mr. Cabbage get elected for mayor. But, he is running against a Mr. Crabby. Your job is to go find information, and items to discredit Mr. Crabby (he's evil) from various people. Liked: Very very very fun game Hated: Nothing! ***************************************************************************** Final Words: This game is definetly a must buy. I am very thankful that I listened to PAW and got this game. Go to funcoland.com and buy this game!!! They still have at least 1 copy!! I seriously like this game as much as FF3!! ***************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: ***** Control: ***** Personal opinion: ***** Total Score = 100% I'm off to play great greed. ***************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None
