Weight: Weight varies by candy content :) Battery Life: Forever Colors on-screen: The screen is a sticker. Serial Communications Rate: IR Port allows approximately 3 candies per second through. ROM Sizes: The candies are about 1/4 in. in diameter. Use with: Mouth +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Opening Snide Remarks: Huh... A plastic Game Boy Color thing with candy inside and a top-of-the-line ball maze game in the screen. On top of that, it's Atomic Purple. It must be good! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressions: This thing is a very good facsimile of a real Atomic Purple Game Boy Color. Missing are the sound knob and power switch, as well as the microphone jack, but it's a candy dispenser. What do you expect? The A and B buttons are nicely rounded for ease of control, except they don't do anything.... It's about as wide as a standard Game Boy game pack, but the cartridge slot doesn't actually let anything through it, so I was diappointed to learn that I couldn't play Battle Arena Toshinden on it. But I can play what I like to call "Super Death Ninja Maze Inferno," the built-in ball maze game. It's basically Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble without Kirby. The control pad doesn't move, so you have to use the motion sensor to navigate your plain-looking hero to the end of the maze. The trouble is, there is no end. Maybe it's supposed to be a statement about the craziness of it all. Or maybe it's something to do while you eat the candy, which brings me to... This unit also sports a tank full of delicious candy. The sugary stuff comes out the IR port, and if you hook it up to a friend's Game Boy Candy & Game, you can swap candy and fight it out. Or you can just steal your friend's candy and run away. Your choice. There are 5 different colors of candy - blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. They're, to say the least, yummy. I've already gone through half a Game Boy full of them playing my GBA. The candies are round in shape. Liked: Candy is delicious, nice variety of flavors, excellent looks. Hated: Running out of candy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Improve: Make one that looks like a GBA, maybe replace the maze game with Pachinko. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Final Words: *clears throat* Yum. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Score: 90% +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Secrets: To make the game backlit, hold it up to a light and play.
