Save: As this is a Beatmania game there are no saves. There are 
Passwords however, for different songs.

Opening Snide Remarks: As all of Konami's Beatmania type games, Beatmania is
hard to put down. Once you get yourself accustomed with the controls it is a
fun game. When i first saw the game in action I was shocked. Having played
all the Beatmania arcade games, It was amazing to see the same animations
being displayed on the GBC screen! 


Gameplay: Some songs are fast, and some are slow. Gameplay varies with each
song. I found the fast songs to be more enjoyable to play, but that's just
me. There are also many modes of play. Arcade, GB Mix (original GB songs),
Free, and Versus. Versus is a two player showdown. (Very fun!)

Graphics: Excellent video animation. If the notes are played perfectly you
will see a little explosion of green on the bottom bar. Other than that there
isn't much. (Beatmania games dont have too much room for eye candy.)

Sound: Scratch effects sound just like the arcade version. Other effects fit
in nicely with the songs.

Music: The music isnt quite up to par with its arcade counter part but this
is some of the best music I have heard pumped out of the Game Boy's speakers.
Some songs are better sounding that others however. I caught myself several
times humming these songs outloud!

Play Control: Konami made sure begginers of pros alike could enjoy this game.
There are 3 different control methods, and the option to play with 2, 3, 4,
or the full 5 button spread.

Final Analysis: Having enjoyed the arcade version, I instantly fell in love
with this version as well. It's fun to play, easy to get the hang of, and it
sounds cool!
