Army Men Air Combat Game by 3D0 Reviewed by Sugar_Daddy hockeyperson101@hotmail.com Size: 8 Megabits Save: Password Released: 2000 Works with: Game Boy Color Only! **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I love Desert Stirke. I played the SNES one all the time. But I never could find it for Game Boy. I thought I'd never find a game like it for Game Boy... until now... **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game plays alot like Desert Strike. You fly your helicopter around shooting. Your main gun has a nice auto aim feature making it easier to hit your targets. You also have other weapons like missles and homing missles. But Typical 3DO, they have a password save. Not only that... but they used the silly 4 icon thing. So far every Army Men game has it setup up like that. Liked: Plays alot like Desert Strike. Hated: The password save. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The Graphics look great. The backgrounds are done well. Builds are nicely detailed. The helicopter has some great smooth animation. Only the small ground units are poorly animated. But that's because they are small. Liked: Some Great Graphics. Hated: The ground units. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: I expected digital sounds... and well... it's got none. But that's ok. The music is great, and the sound effects fit the game just fine. Liked: Nice sound track. Hated: No digital sound. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: This game is an easy game to pick up. The controls are pretty basic. A is to shoot, B will lower your crane, Up is to go forward, Down to go backward, Left to turn Left, Right to turn Right. Liked: Easy Controls to pick up. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Multiplayer would of been nice, and they should kept the Rumble pak. Otherwise it's a pretty solid game. RIYL: Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban Strike **************************************************************************** Final Words: This is a great game that everyone should enjoy. Solid game play **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 22 out of 25 Final Score: 88% **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None
