As we last left our hereos, they had just gotten their sixth badge out of nine and were headed toward Fushia City, Katie and Champ's birth place.

Chapter 1

"I can't wait to see my parents again." Katie said happily. "Growl, Growlithe!" replied Champ. "Look at how beutiful this place is. Plenty of beaches, nice and sunny, a wonderful time to relax!" Michelle commented. "It is nice but it's a long walk to Fushia City and if we hurry we might make it there tommorow afternoon." said Katie. "Oh come on Katie. Just for a little while. And anyway our pokémon could use a little time to relax." Michelle begged. "Well," Katie looked at Champ and Hope, who nodded agreeing that they deserved to rest, "Ok." They all cheered. Katie let all her pokémon out and so did Michelle. Most of Michelle's pokémon headed toward the water, while Katie's pokémon stayed on shore playing around. Michelle waded out into the water and began swimming with her water pokémon. "I really rather be heading home." Katie thought to herself. She looked up and watched as a man realed in something he caught while fishing. It stayed under the water until it got really close to the boat. All of a sudden a huge Gyarados burst out of the surf knocking over the small boat. "Help!" yelled the man desperately. "Pikachu! Come on quickly!" Katie yelled to Pikachu. "Michelle! get out of the water! Pidgeotto go!" Katie yelled frantically. Michelle quickly got out of the surf with her pokémon. "Pidgeotto, go bring the man to shore!" Pidgeotto obeyed and grabbed the man just before the Gyarados would've bitten him. "Pidgeotto bring Pikachu out toward the Gyarados. Spearow, carry me out there with them, we've got to get rid of the Gyarados!" Meanwhile the Gyarados was heading towards another ship. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt attack, now!" Pikachu obeyed and attacked the Gyarados. "Gyarados!" it yelled in surprise. "Pikachu! Thunder attack, now!" Pikachu powered up and attacked with Thunder as the Gyarados lunged for them. "Gyara dos." it said weakly and gathered up all it's strength to call for help. "Your not calling for help! Pokéball go!" Katie yelled to the Gyarados, who was zapped in the pokéball before it could call for help. The pokéball floated on the waves, and soon the light went out. "I can't believe it! I caught Gyarados!"

Chapter 2

Wartortle swam out to the pokéball and brought it back to shore. The pokéball disappeared. "Thank you for saving me. I don't know how to repay you." said the man. Katie just smiled. "I know! Here you can have this." He handed Katie piece of paper. "What is it?" Katie asked. "It is a map to a colonie of Dratinis. The only problem is no one can seem to read or understand it." said the man. Katie frowned. "Than what are we supose to do with it?" Michelle asked. "Well there is a legend about how to read it. They say the person who wrote the map, could speak to the creatures of the sea and wrote it in their language so no one could read it. When he refused to tell a sorcerous what it said, he was turned into a pokémon that lives either in or near water. If you could either find him, or convince a pokémon to read it for you, than you can find the colonie." "Thanks." Katie said unenthusiastically. With that they returned their pokémon and continued on their way. "Ah well. Even if we can't use that map, at least I've caught Gyarados." Katie said looking on the bright side. "Char." Hope said, pointing ahead. There stood a woman looking at the sky with binoculars. She seemed pretty shocked and excited. "Excuse me, but what are you looking at?" Katie asked as they approached her. "Oh! Take a look for yourself!" She handed Katie the binoculars and pointed to a location. Katie looked where she pointed, and saw this huge beutiful looking bird flying around. "What is it?" Katie asked. "That's the extremely rare, Articuno! It is said to appear to people who are doomed in the snowy mountains! I can't believe I've actually seen it! It might be one of a kind!" Said the woman, who had taken out another pair of binoculars. Katie handed Michelle the binoculars and took out her pokédex. "Articuno. One of the three legendary birds. This Ice/Flying type bird is thought to be one of a kind and has only appeared to those that are doomed in the snowy mountain areas. The other two Legendary birds are Zapdos, and Moltres. It is not known where these pokémon live." "Wow! these pokémon would be amazing to have on my team!" Katie said. Just than, they were startled. "Here comes trouble..." "Make that double..."

Chapter 3

"To protect the world from devestation..." "To unite all peoples within our nation." "To denounce the eveils of truth and love..." "To extend our reach to the stars above." "Jesse" "James" "Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" "Meowth! That's right!" "It's Team Rocket!" Katie and Michelle said, both surprised. "I thought you were after Ash's Pikachu?" Katie said to them very confused. "We normally are after Pikachu, but we've been given a special assinement by the boss." said Jesse. "Yes. You see our boss read about your little discovery. And he decided he wants it." James continued. "Yeah! So hand it over!" Meowth chimed in. "Char char, mander Charmander." Said Hope, walking up to Meowth with an angry look on it's face. "What'd it say Meowth?" James asked. "I think it said You're not about to kidnap it's friend." Meowth replied. "You're wrong you little twirp. This is one assinement we can't fail." rsaid Jesse. "Get out of my face you stupid lizard!" Meowth said, scratching Hope. "Char!" Hope yelled out in pain. "Grrrrr." Champ growled at Meowth. "Shut up you!" Meowth scratched Champ's nose. "Yipe!" Champ barked. "Come on Champ. Your a puppy pokémon, are you gonna let yourself be defeated by a cat?" Katie asked. "Growl?" Champ's ears pirked up when it heard Katie say Meowth was a cat. "Grrrrr. Growlithe!" Champ began chaseing Meowth around. "Enough fooling around. Arbok!" "Weezing!" "GO!" Arbok and Weezing came out of their pokéballs. "Charbok!" Arbok hissed. "Weezing!" Weezing wheezed. "Arbok! Poison sting on that Growlithe!" Arbok obeyed and bit down hard on Champ. "Champ!" Katie ran over to Champ, who lied there in pain. "Champ return." Katie returned Champ to a pokéball. "Go! Sandslash!" Katie threw the pokéball. "Weedle!" Katie shouted in shock. "I must have accidentily transfered Sandslash when I looked up the info on Articuno!" Katie shouted in dispair. "Weedle!?!" Weedle yelled as Weezing tackled it. "Weedle! Poison sting attack, now!" Weedle flew towards Wheezing, but was knocked out of the air by Arbok. "Arbok! Glare at it!" Arbok glared at Weedle, paralyzing it. "Weezing tackle it!" "Weedle! String Shot attack, now!" Katie yelled desperately. Weedle shot it's string shot, but Weezing dodged it and it covered Jesse's head. "Mmmph! Mmmph!" She mumbled, as she staggered into Arbok. "Charbok!?!" "Weedle! Poison Sting attack on Arbok, now!" Weedle flew towards Arbok, who turned around and got hit right in the eye with the stinger. "Charbok!!!!!!!!!" It screeched in pain, throwing Jesse off it and through the air. "MMMPHHHH!!!!!" Jesse tried to scream as she flew through the air, knocking into Weezing and landing on it on top of James. She finally got the string off her face. "Finnally!" she said angrily. "WEEZING!" Weezing released tons of poison gas. "Hope! Ember attack the gas!" Katie yelled to Hope. "Char!" Hope began spinning around and hitting the gas with the fire. The gas exploded. "Look's like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" they yelled as they flew over the horizen.

Chapter 4

"Weedle." Weedle began to evolve. "Cool! Weedle's evolveing into Kakuna!" Michelle said pointing to Weedle. "Kakuna." Katie took out her pokédex. "Kakuna. This pokémon is the evolved form of Weedle and will evolve again into Beedrill in about one week." Katie took out Kakuna's pokéball. "Kakuna return." Kakuna returned to it's pokéball. "I wonder what types of pokémon are around here?" Michelle said. "There are plenty of water type pokémon. And there are a lot of grass types too." said the women who was still standing there. "Let's see there's Oddish, Glooms, Bellsprouts, Weepinbells, Pidgeys, and many others." said the woman. "Thanks." Katie said and they left. They decided to walk in the shade of the forest and walked deeper and deeper into the woods. "Charmander?" Hope said to Katie. "I don't know where we are. Michelle, where are we?" Katie replied. "If I'm correct we should be some where in this area." Michelle said pointing to part of the map. "But that's a span of 30 miles!" Katie shouted. "Don't worry, we'll just turn back the way we came." Michelle said calmly. So they headed back. "I don't remember any of this." Katie said looking around. "Me neither." "Char! Char!" Hope yelled towards Katie from behind a bush. They walked over to the bush and looked toward a huge lake that lay beyond it. "Great! A Lake! Now all we have to do is locate it on the map and we'll know where we are!" Katie shouted happily. Michelle searched and searched the map. "I don't see it. We must be in this unexplored area." Michelle said unhappily. "Ditto." A Ditto showed up behind them. "Huh? What's that?" Katie asked as she took out her pokédex. "Ditto. A transformation pokémon. This pokémon only knows the move transform which allows it to transform into anything and use it's moves." Katie looked at the Ditto. "Char char mander? Charmander." Hope asked the Ditto. "Ditto? Ditto Ditto." The Ditto began to leave. "Char char." Hope said signaling for us to follow it. They followed the Ditto around the lake and into the woods. Finnally they came upon a log cabin. "Ditto. Ditto" Said the Ditto going inside the open door. Katie and Hope peered inside. Inside there must have been hundreds of Dittos! "Wow! I can't believe there's so many!" Katie exclaimed. They walked into the cabin where the Dittos greeted them. The Dittos gave them food and water. "Ditto. Ditto Ditto Ditto." said the Ditto that had lead them there. They followed the Dittos to a near by cave. Inside on the walls was writing in english! It must have been millions of years old. "In the distant future a pair of humans that have tamed wild pokémon will become lost in these areas. One of these humans is the choosen one and will be given the power of transform." Michelle read. "You mean you want to give one of us the ability to Transform?" Katie asked the Dittos. "Ditto." They nodded. "Char charmander?" Hope asked the Dittos. "What did Hope say?" Michelle asked Katie. "Hope asked how will they know which one of us is the choosen one." Katie responded. "Ditto." responded a Ditto, pointing at more writing. "The choosen one is the one that shares such a strong bond with their pokémon that they let it walk free and can understand it." Michelle read. "Char mander char!" Hope said. "Your right Hope! I don't make you stay in the pokéball and I can understand you like we're speaking the same language!" Katie exclaimed.

Chapter 5

The Dittos lead Katie deeper into the cave and made Hope and Michelle stay behind. They picked up a machine, it looked like a TM but was different. They brought it to Katie and activated it. Some images appeared in Katie's head, than they disappeared as the machine stopped. They returned outside of the cave. "Ditto ditto." said a Ditto. Hope translated. "So I have to concentrate on a pokémon and I'll change into it?" Katie asked the Dittos. they all nodded. Katie looked at Hope she concentrated and soon began to shrink smaller. "Char!" Hope yelled in surprise, it was looking at it's exact double! Katie opened her backpack and took out a mirror. "I can't believe it! I'm Hope!" she shouted in surprise. But to Michelle it sounded like "Mander Char! Char Char!" "Now that you've transformed into a Charmander, you'll be able to transform into it without looking at it. Other pokémon you'll need to see before you can change into them." said one of the Dittos. "How do I change back?" Katie asked. "Just think about your origanal form." replied the Ditto that brought them there. Katie thought about her origanal form, and became herself again. "Who! What was it like?" Michelle asked. "It was strange." Katie replied. She sent out Champ who had now gained back it's health. Katie consentrated. "Groooowwwlliitthe!" Katie howled. "Huh? What's going on here?! I must be seeing things!" Champ shouted in surprise. "Nope. Katie was given the ability to change into pokémon Champ." Hope told him. "Why am I supose to get this ability anyway?" Katie asked the Dittos. "Well legend says that you will become the Pokémon Master and you will need this power in order to survive long enough to make it. If you don't become Pokémon Master than someone else will and they'll start working for Team Rocket. And with no one powerful enough to stop them all pokémon will lose their freedom." said the Ditto. "Yes. but you must never tell anyone of your powers. Because we don't know who is going to try and stop you. And if they know who knows what they might do." said another Ditto. "All right. I won't tell a soul." Katie said. Than she changed back to human form and told Michelle. "Just in case, I better transform into all our pokémon so I don't need to see them in order to change." Katie said. Katie transformed into all their pokémon. "All right Pidgeotto. Your the last one." Katie said sending out Pidgeotto. "Pidgeooo!" Pidgeotto squaked. Katie transformed into Pidgeotto and started to flap her wings. She wasn't used to flying. At first she could barely stay off the ground, but soon got used to it. "Choosen One." called out one of the Dittos. "Call me Katie." Katie said. "Katie, you mustent stay in the form of any one pokémon for more than 2 hours or else you'll be stuck that way." "Ok. But what if times about to run out and I'm surrounded by people?" Katie asked, flying above them. "You could transform into one of us and the time would be reset." said another Ditto. "Ok." Katie landed and Transformed into Ditto. "All right. I guess I'm all set." Katie said, and transformed back to her own form. "Now. Could you please show us the way out of the forest?" Michelle asked. "A Ditto nodded and led the way. It was now dark by the time they reached the beach. "Thanks. And bye." Katie, Hope, and Michelle waved bye to the Ditto. They set up camp and went to sleep.

Chapter 6

The next morning Katie woke up to see the Articuno standing right next to her staring at her. It was still before dawn. "An Articuno!" Katie said very surprised. "Articuno, cuno." said the Articuno. Katie looked around the beach and made sure no one was there. Than transformed into Articuno. "What did you say?" Katie asked. "Come with me." it said and flew into the air. Katie followed it. They flew over the ocean to a small island in the mist. "Since you are the legendary choosen one it is my job as the last Articuno to help you." said the Articuno. "Help me in what way?" Katie asked. "I can bring you to the colonie of Dratinis where one of them, along with myself, will join you on your quest." It said. Katie stood there a little shocked but not to much. "Now follow me." It said and flew back out to sea. They flew so far away from shore that no matter how high Katie flew, they couldn't see it. The Articuno began calling out something. Suddenly at least 30 Dratinis dressed in old ancient human armor appeared. "Yes. Articuno." said one of them. "I have brought the choosen one." said Articuno. The Dratinis looked at Katie. The bowed down, well sort of. "Oh mighty choosen one. Please come with us and we will find a suitable guard for you." said the Dratini. Katie transformed into Gyarados and followed the Dratinis under water. As they dove deeper it got darker and darker. Soon some type of undiscovered, glowing fish pokémon had to lead the way. They finally reached the colonie. Katie stared in shock at how advanced the Dratini's technology was. It looked more advanced than humans. They swam to this huge castle at the middle of the colonie. In they swam till they entered this giant room with 2 Dragonair sitting on thrones. "Your majasty, we have brought the choosen one." They bowed down. "So you are the choosen one." said the King suspicously. "Yes sire. We saw her change from and Articuno into a Gyarados." said the Dratini. The king smiled. "Bring in my best warriers." he said and a bunch of very strong looking Dratinis swam into the room. "You may choose from my best warriors to join you. " said the King. But before Katie could even choose a small young Dratini swam in. "Father. Please let me join her on her quest. Please." begged the young Dratini. "Absolutly not. I can't risk haveing you get hurt. Your the only heir to the throne." said the King. "Honey let the boy go. He can't take the throne until he evolves, and he won't evolve if you keep him here." said the queen. "Absolutely..." the King stopped and looked at the stern look on the queens face. "All right, all right. But only if the choosen one chooses you." said the king. "Katie looked over all the Dratinis. The all had superior strenth, but were way to serious, and they all had this look as if they didn't want to leave. "I choose you." Katie choose the young Prince. The king was surprised. "But don't you want someone with the strenth to protect you?" asked the king trying to get her to reconcider. "If there's anything I've learned, it's that it doesn't matter how strong you are. What matters is your spirit." Katie said. With that, Katie and the young Dratini, whose name was Prince as Katie found out, were escorted to the surface. It was getting to be late morning they quickly swam to shore, where Michelle, Hope, and Champ stood looking for Katie. In shallow water Katie made sure there was no one around and reformed into a human. She took out 2 pokéballs and let Prince and Articuno enter them. "Katie what's going on!?!" Michelle asked. "Where were you?" Before answering Katie made sure she had Hope, Ivysaur, Champ, Flare, Pikachu, Articuno, and Prince. "I was out with the Dratini and Articuno. A Prince, the Dratini, and Articuno have joined me. Now I'd like to get home before something else happens." Katie said. They changed and continued on their way.

Chapter 7

It took several days before they reached Fushia City. "Finally we're home Champ." Katie said happily. "Growlithe!" Champ barked. There was Laura Laramy. Katie's parents were official members of the Laramy clan. "Laura!" Katie shouted and ran up to her. Laura was good friends with Katie and her parents. The Growlithe she owned was bred by her parents. "Katie! How've you been!" Laura greeted Katie happily. "I've been great." Katie said. Champ greeted Growlithe, who was his older brother. "Laura, this is my friend Michelle, and this is Hope." "Hello there." Laura greeted Michelle and Hope. "Hi." Michelle replied. "Have you seen my parents?" Katie asked. "Of course! They're up at the ranch." She said. "Thanks Laura." They headed up toward the ranch. "Katie!" Katie looked behind her, there were her parents. "Mom! Dad!" Katie ran over to them. "How's it been going Katie?" her father asked her. "Just great! This is my friend Michelle and this is my Charmander, Hope." She said. "Hello dear." Katie's mom greeted Michelle. "Look how Champ's grown!" Katie's father commented. "Growlithe." Champ responded. "Are you going to enter the race Katie?" Katie's mother asked. "I don't know. The only pokémon I have that's really big enough to ride is Sandslash. But Sandslash isn't very fast." Katie said. "Katie, did you hear about the girl that discovered a new pokémon near Saffaron City? It's suposedly related to the Growlithe." said Katie's mom. "Mom, I am that girl. See." Katie said letting out Flare. Katie's parents stood there shocked. While Champ became love sick again. "Hey Katie!" Katie's brother, and rival, Erine, ran over to her. "I bet I could beat you in a pokémon match." he said. "You wouldn't stand a chance." Katie replied. "Than let's fight and see who's the better trainer." he said. "Go Cloyster!" Ernie said and threw a pokéball containing a Cloyster. "All right Pikachu, let's show him what we can do!" Katie said and threw Pikachu's pokéball. "Cloyster, Clamp attack!" Cloyster clamped Pikachu's upper body inside the shell. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt attack, now!" Pikachu uleashed a Thunderbolt that bounced around the inside of Cloysters shell, shocking it so many times it fainted. "Cloyster return. Go Marowak!" A Marowak appeared out of the pokéball. "Marowak, Bonemerang attack!" Marowak threw it's Bone at Pikachu and got a direct hit. "Pikachu! Hold on!" Pikachu began to sit up. "Marowak, Leer attack!" Pikachu's defence dropped. "Pikachu! Quick Attack, now!" Pikachu quickly ran towards Marowak. "Marowak, Bone Club attack!" Marowak bashed Pikachu away with it's bone. "Pikachu, return. Go Ivysaur!" Ivysaur appeared. "Ivysaur! Sleep Powder attack, now!" Ivysaur covered Marowak with Sleep Powder and Marowak collapsed, asleep. "Marowak return. Go Venomoth!" The Venomoth appeared. "Venomoth, Mega Drain attack!" Venomoth Drained a lot of Ivysaurs life. "Ivysaur! Vinewip attack, now!" Ivysaur tried and tried but couldn't hit the Venomoth. "Venomoth, Tackle attack!" Venomoth tackled Ivysaur. "Ivysaur return. Go Hope!" Hope stepped forward. "Venomoth, Poison Powder attack!" "Hope! Burn up the Poison Powder with Flamethrower attack!" Hope burned the Powder. "Venomoth, Psybeam attack!" Venomoth hit Hope with Psybeam. "Hope! Fire Spin attack, now!" Hope created a giant tornado of fire. Venomoth was trapped inside, and when the flames disappeared, Venomoth fell to the ground. "Venomoth return. Your better than I thought. But you'll never beat Venusaur!" Ernie threw a pokéball and out came a Venusaur. "Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Hope covered Venusaur in flames, when the flames cleared Venusaur hadn't even been really effected! "Such a weak fire attack can't hurt Venusaur! Venusaur, Solar Beam attack!" Venusaur gathered sunlight. "Hope! Fire Spin attack, now!" Hope attacked with firespin, but Venusaur dodged it! Venusaur shot a beam at Hope, knocking it down. "Hope! Return." Katie returned Hope. "Go Flare!" Flare looked up from her parents and ran over, ready for battle. "Flare! Fire Blast attack, now!" Flare's fire blast didn't do much damage. The battle went on and on. "Venusaur, Vinewip attack!" Venusaur wipped Flare accross the field. "Flare!" Katie ran over to Flare. "Please don't give up." Flare looked into Katie's eyes. It could see how much she wanted to prove she could win. It stood up and was surrounded by a bright light. "What the?" Katie said and took out her pokédex to record this. The light disappeared. There stood a pokémon. It was over 5 feet at the shoulder, had these huge teeth and gigantic claws. It had a spiked fire mohawk and the fur that had once been on it's chest was replaced with fire. Katie looked at the pokédex.

"Firefang. The evolved form of Flare. There is no further data." "All right Firefang, Use your strongest Fire moves!" Firefang nodded and used an attack that looked like Skull Bash but when it hit, it's fire mohawk burnt away at Venuasur. Venusaur was dazed. but not badly hurt. "Venusaur, Tackle attack!" Venusaur tried to tackle Firefang, but Firefang was to quick. "Data collected." The pokédex beeped as it finished collecting data. "Firefang, a punk pokémon. This pokémon is Fire and Psychic type. It's moves are Flameing Skull Bash, Torch, Hyper Scratch, and Super Fang. It's special move is Psychic Blast." "Firefang! Torch attack, now!" Firefang began running around Venusaur and turned it into a ball of flame. Venusaur couldn't attack for five minutes. "Venusaur, Vinewip attack!" Venusaur couldn't hit Firefang. "Firefang! Psychic Blast attack, now!" Firefangs eyes began glowing bright red. It stood up on it's hind legs and roared. Venusaur was lifted into the air by Firefangs psychic powers. Firfang than summoned all it's fire and beat up on Venusaur while it was helpless in the air. After the attack Venusaur was dropped to the ground. "Venusaur return." Ernie said angrily and walked away.

Chapter 8

"I won!" Katie shouted happily. Katie hugged Firefang. "Firefang." It barked. "Hey Firefang, your pretty big. Do you mind if I ride you in the Pokémon Race tommorow?" Katie asked hopefully. "Firefang." Firefang lied down and let Katie sit down. "Thanks! If I'm going to ride you in the race tommorow I think we should both get used to it." Firefang stood up, now with Katie astride. "I'll go back to your house, ok Katie?" Michelle said. "Ok Michelle." Katie returned Champ to a pokéball and had Firefang slowly make it's way up to running. "Great! Now let's try some things that might be in the coarse. How about a steep uphill climb." They ran over to a steep bike jump made of dirt. Firefang had lots of trouble running up. "Hmm. Try digging your claws into the dirt for traction." Firefang obeyed and dug in it's claws. This slowed them down a lot! Firefang eventually got used to it and was able to speed up the hill no problem. "Next let's try to work on your jumping skills." Katie got down, took some old bags, and set them up. "All right Firefang jump from bag to bag to get across. Pretend that these are rocks in a river." Firefang first attempted with out Katie riding it. This was something it was pretty good at. In no time at all they could do many things with ease. "Look there's Laura and Rapidash. Let's go see them." Katie said and quickly rode Firefang over there. "Hey Laura!" Katie shouted as she rode towards her. "Howdy Katie! That's some pokémon you got there." "Thanks. I'm going to be riding Firefang here in the race tommorow." "That's great! I hope you win." "Me too but I'm pretty much just entering it for the fun of it." "Good for you. Well I've got to get the Tauros coraled now. Bye." "Bye." Katie and Firefang went to the entrance where Katie returned it. "Well Firefang, we better get plenty of rest if we want to be in tip top condition for the race tommorow." Katie walked back to her house and went inside. "Arcanine!" "Hey Daisy! Hey Fred!" Katie greeted her parents 2 origanal Arcanines, and Champ's parents. "Would you like to see Champ?" Katie asked. "Arcanine!" They barked happily. "All right Champ." Katie released Champ from it's pokéball. "Growlithe!" Champ happily greeted his parents. "Hi Katie. Your friend Michelle is upstairs in your room." said Katie's sister Cheri. "All right." Katie headed upstairs. "Hey Michelle." "Hey Katie." Michelle was playing Creatures 2 on Katie's computer. They played that for a while and than went to bed.

Chapter 9

"Katie. Wake up, you don't want to be late for the race do you?" Cheri woke Katie up. Katie and Michelle ate breakfast, grabbed their pokémon and headed towards the Ranch. They walked up to the sign up counter. "I'd like to sign up for the race." Katie said, and was handed an application. "Name, Katie Mazzoli. Age, 13. Pokémon, Firefang." Katie filled out the form and handed it to the woman. "What's a Firefang?" she asked. "Oh. It's a pokémon I discovered. See?" Katie released Firefang. The woman jumped but waved for Katie to continue on to the track. "Oh and by the way, they've added a new tunnel on the track." Katie nodded "I'll be in the stands cheering for you Katie." Michelle said and walked away. Katie led Firefang to the track. She caught many peoples attention because of Firefang. "Good luck Katie!" said Laura from atop Rapidash. "You too." Katie replied, and mounted Firefang. They walked up to the starting line. "On your marks... Get set... GO!!" Shouted the announcer and everyone took off. "In the lead is Rapidash, with Tauros and Nidorina close behind!" Katie and Firefang were trapped in the pack. They ran strait for a few seconds before they saw the steep uphill climb. "They're approaching the up hill climb with Rapidash still in the lead!" Katie and Firefang got to the hill. "All right Firefang, time to use your claws!" Firefang dug it's claws into the ground and went uphill without even loseing speed, unlike the other pokémon. "What's this? Firefang has just appeared out of the pack! Look at it move! It's not even loseing any speed on the uphill climb!" shouted the anouncer. "It's caught up to Rapidash now. And it's passed Rapidash to take the lead!" Katie smiled happily. "If we can keep up this pace than we could win!" They reached the top of the hill and began running down the other side. The only problem was Firefangs claws slowed them down. "Firefang is slowing down, and has just been passed by Rapidash and Electrode!" "Come on Firefang! Tuck in your claws!" Firefang tucked in it's claws so it was no longer running with it's paw pads touching the ground, It was now running with it's claws pointing bakwords. They picked up a little speed but not much. "They've reached the bottom of the hill and are now approaching the river. Each pokémon must leap from stone to stone to cross." Katie watched as Rapidash lept from stone to stone with ease, and as Electrode who had been in the lead skidded a little bit across the water before sinking. "All right Firefang, let's show them some fancy foot work!" Firefang lept, skipping a couple stones and crossing much more quickly. They reached the other side and were directed to go to the right to enter the tunnel. "They're approaching the tunnel. The tunnel will test a pokémon's sences by makeing them decide which way to go. There are eight different ways to go but only one of them doesn't lead to a dead end. It is also very dark to make it more difficult!" Katie and Firefang ran inside the cave where Rapidash ran down one of the tunnels. But came back a few seconds later. "What should we do? Katie asked Firefang. "Firefang!" Firefang had an idea. It walked up to a tunnel and howled into it. Katie heard the sound come bounceing back. "I get it! Your going to howl into each one until the sound doesn't return!" They went to 3 more tunnels but got echoes. By now the rest of the Competitors were exploring the caves they allready checked. Fire fang howled. They waited. Silence. "All right! Let's go!" They ran through the tunnel and soon saw daylight! "Looks like Firefang has found the way out! And here comes Rapidash close behind!" They ran to the slope with the food. Firefang lept from dish to dish til it finnally found one near the bottom it liked. It quickly wolfed down the food. And lept down to level ground, dug into the earth with it's claws, and took the lead! "Here comes Firefang down the strait away! It's digging up the track with those huge claws! But here comes Rapidash!" Katie glanced behind her and saw Laura and Rapidash catching up. "Firefang! Run as fast as possible! Rapidash is getting close!" Rapidash than was running beside them. They were neck and neck. "They're neck and neck! It's Rapidash! No, Firefang!, No, Rapidash! Wait! It's going to be a photo finish!" They quickly approached the finish line. "Firefang! Jump for it!" Katie yelled as they got close to the finish line. Firefang lept accross the finish line. It seemed like forever for the photo showing the results to develop. Finally the picture was brought up by a Pidgey to the Announcer. "We have the results. And the winner is!"

Chapter 10

"Rapidash!" shouted the announcer. Katie was a little disapointed but was happy that they at least came in a very close second. "Great race Katie!" said Lara from atop Rapidash. "Thanks." Katie replied and walked over and accepted her second prize medal. "Here you go Firefang. You deserve it." Katie put the medal around Firefangs neck. They met up with Michelle and headed back to the barn where her parents were. "Hey mom, dad guess what!" Katie said to them. Katie had firefang walk in the room. "Oh! You came in second! That's wonderful!" Katie's parent's congratulated her and Firefang. "Growlithe." Champ walked up to Katie. "Growl, growl growlithe?" he said, staring at Katie hopefully. "You want to evolve?!" Katie said shocked. "Growlithe." Champ nodded. "Have you even thought this through Champ? I mean, once you evolve there's no way to change back." Katie said to Champ. Champ only stared at her hopefully. "Well Champ, it is your life. But I want you to think about this really hard and make sure it's definately what you want to do. You tell me your decision tomorow morning. Ok?" Champ nodded and walked off. "I can't believe Champ wants to evolve." Michelle said to Katie. "Yeah." Katie agreed. "Well, if I want to be a pokémon master I have to get more badges. So I better go challenge Koga. Katie, Hope, and Michelle walked away toward the Fushia Gym. "I heard this place is a maze. How are we supose to get through?" Michelle asked Katie. "Don't worry, I'm friend's with Koga and his Venomoth, Venomoth will show us the way." Katie replied confidently. They entered the Gym. "Hello?" Katie called out. "Venomoth." Venomoth peered around the corner and greeted Katie. "Venomoth, can you show us the way to Koga?" Katie asked. "Venomoth. Venomoth." replied Venomoth and began leading the way. They walked through the building and finally pushed through a hidden door. "Koga, I'm here to challenge you for a soul badge." Katie said to Koga who sat at the other side of the room. "Fine. We shall use 2 pokémon each." Katie nodded. "Go Golbat!" "Go Ivysuar!" Golbat and Ivysaur awaited their commands. "Golbat Wing Attack!" "Ivysuar! Razor Leaf attack, now!" Golbat hit Ivysaur with Wing Attack and was injured by Ivysuars Razor Leaf. "Golbat Bite now!" Golbat zoomed towards Ivysaur. "Ivysaur! Vine Wip attack, now!" Ivysaur wipped Golbat away. Golbat was weak. "Ivysaur! Sleep Powder attack, now!" Ivysaur covered Golbat with it's sleep powder. Golbat fell to the ground asleep. "Golbat return! Go Venomoth!" Venomoth flew out ready for battle. "Venomoth Psybeam now!" Venomoth got a critical hit on Ivysaur. "Ivysaur hang in there!" Katie yelled. "Venomoth, finish it off with Psychic!" Venomoth began controling Ivysuars body and beat it up. "Ivysaur, return! Hope, I choose you!" Hope ran forward. "Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Hope tried and tried to hit Venomoth but didn't succeed. "Venomoth, Stun Spore attack!" Venomoth began filling the room with Stun Spore. "Hope! Burn it up with Ember attack!" Hope swung it's tail around burning up the Stun Spore. "Hope! Slash attack, now!" Hope ran and slashed at Venomoth. "Venomoth, it's weak tackle it til it faints!" Venomoth began tackleing Hope over and over. "What attack could Hope have that could possibly make it win this battle?" Katie asked and took out her pokédex. "Charmander's attack Rage. This attack makes it so the more damage Charmander takes, the stronger it's own attacks will be, and it will not stop fighting until it's opponent falls." "That's it! Hope! Rage attack, now!" Hope got tackled a few more times and it's tail flame grew. It kept growing as Venomoth attacked. "Venomoth Psychic attack!" Venomoth took control of Hopes body. "Hope! Consentrate, you've got to break Venomoth's control over you!" Hope stared at Venomoth, resisting it's psychic abilities. "Come on Hope. Your my last chance." Katie thought to herself. Hope began shaking violently. "Huh?" Katie Michelle and Koga send at the same time. "Char!" Hope began screeching. "Hope looks like it's in real pain. You better return it." Michelle wispered to Katie. "That's enough! Hope return." Hope returned to it's pokéball. "It's ok Hope, everything will be ok." Katie said to Hope in it's pokéball. "So your giving up?" "Yes." Katie responded and walked away.

Chapter 11

Katie and Michelle walked away from the gym. Katie was very disapointed. "Beaten by a bug." Katie said to herself. "What could I do to possibly win." Katie thought to herself. They entered Katie's house and got something to eat. "Maybe you should just raise Hope up some more." Michelle said to Katie. "Naw, You saw how strong that Venomoth was. It'd take weeks to raise Hope to a high enough level to beat it." Katie replied unhappily. "So you couldn't beat the Venomoth huh?" It was Ernie. "Why would you care." Katie snapped at him. Hope walked in the room after finishing it's nap. It could see the rivalry between Katie and Ernie. "You are pathetic. You only beat me by luck. I'm off to the next gym. I'll see ya in the Pokémon Leage, if you can make it! HA!" With that Ernie walked away. "Man, your brother's a jerk." Michelle said to Katie. "Yeah, I know." Katie replied angrily. "I've got it!" Katie shouted. "What?" Michelle said confused. "I know how I can beat Koga! Come on!" Katie grabbed Michelle's arm and ran out the door with Hope close behind. "Where are we going?" Michelle said. "We're going to the Safari Zone to catchsome new strong pokémon!" They ran up to a building. Above the door there was a big sign that read "SAFARI ZONE A world of pokémon in one park!" They entered the building. "Hi Jeff!" Katie said to a guy behind a counter watching a pokémon battle. "Hi K!" He greeted her happily. "I need to catch more pokémon in the Safari Zone." Katie said. "All right. Is your friend going to catch pokémon too?" He asked. "No thanks." Michelle replied. "That'll be $500.00" Katie handed over the money. "Here are your Safari Balls. Hope you catch a lot of pokémon." Katie and Michelle walked through another door and were in the Safari Zone's open area of the park. They began exploring and saw many pokémon but failed to catch them. "I didn't know catching pokémon in the Safari Zone was so tough." Michelle said to Katie. "Me neither." Katie replied as they headed into the first area. "Wait there's a sign. It says 'Win the Safari Zone challenge, find the secret house!'" Michelle said, reading the sign. They continued through the first area. "Nidorino." There stood a Nidorino. Staring at them angrily. "Nidorinos are strong but tend to be loners and hate intruders. They often charge with little to no warning." bleeped the pokédex. "Nidorino!!" Just than the Nidorino reered up and began to charge. "AAHHH!!!!" They all screamed and ran in different directions. The Nidorino soon gave up and went away. Katie, Hope, and Michelle continued on. They went into the Second area and didn't see any pokémon. They went into the third area. "I hope we catch at least 1 pokémon before time runs out." Michelle said. And just than there was a rustleing in the bushes. "I don't care what it is, I'm going to catch it!" Katie wispered and quickly threw a Safari Ball.

Chapter 12

"OWW!!!!" yelled the boy as Katie's Safari Ball hit him right in the face. "Matt?" Katie said. "Oh, hi Katie. Why'd you hit me with a Safari Ball?" Matt asked Katie. "I thought you were a pokémon, and I'm getting desperate. I haven't caught 1 pokémon here!" Katie replied. "Uhh, who is he Katie?" Michelle asked. "Michelle, this is Ernie's friend Matt. Matt this is my friend Michelle." Katie said introducing them. "Hi." Michelle said. "Hi. Wait a sec, where's that Nidoran Male I was stalking?" Matt said. All of a sudden Matt was rammed by the Nidoran and went for a short, but very painful, flight. "OW!! That thing rammed it's horn into my butt!" Matt yelled as the Nidoran ran away. "Yeah, Nice. Have you seen any pokémon around here?" Katie asked Matt, ignoring his complaints. "No. That Nidoran was the only thing I've seen for a while." Matt replied. "Ok, thanks. See ya." Katie said and they walked away. After a few minutes of walking the earth began shaking. "What's that?!?!" Michelle said nervously. "Wild Tauros." Katie replied after a minute. "Well, that's good. Maybe you could catch one. Where are they?" Michelle said. "Well from where the sound is coming from I'd say they're that way." Katie pointed in a direction. "Good, let's go get one." Michelle said starting to walk away. "The only problem is, if I'm right, is they're stampedeing strait towards us!" Katie shouted as something appeared on the horizen and began approaching quickly. "Ahhh!!!" They screamed. They were paralyzed in fear. As soon as the creatures got closer they realized it wasn't a herd of Tauros, it was a herd of Kangaskhan! "Go Firefang!" Katie released Firefang. "Hope, Firefang use your Flamethrower attacks to steer the Kangaskhan away from us!" Hope and Firefang tried and tried, but as soon as they ran out of breath, the Kangaskhan would begin charging towards them again. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" they all screamed as the Kangaskhan reached them. They huddled togather, waiting to be trampled. When nothing was happening Katie looked up. Firefang was using it's psychic abilities to create a barrier around them, keeping the Kangaskhan away. "Whew." Katie breathed a sigh of relief as the last Kangaskhan ran past. "That was close." Michelle said. "Yeah." Katie agreed. "Char! Char!" Hope began tugging on Katie's pants and pointed to what the Kangaskhan were running from. It was a Scyther with red berry juice in it's eyes, and now it was after them! "SCYTHER!!!!!" It yelled as it lept for them. "CHAR!!!" Hope unleashed a powerful flamethrower on the Scyther. The Scyther stood there dazed, the Juice burned from it's eyes. "What's that thing?" Katie asked opening her pokédex. "Scyther, a bug pokémon. This pokémon is of bug/flying type and becomes uncontrolable when it sees the color red." "Oh, cool! Maybe I can catch it!" Katie said smiling "Hope! Firespin attack, now!" The Scyther slashed at Hope and Hope engulfed it in a tornado of flames. The Scyther quickly recovered and strengthened it's attack with sword dance."Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Katie yelled and Hope obeyed. "Scyther." It said weakly, falling to the ground. "Safari Ball, go!" Katie threw the Safari Ball at the Scyther, who was zapped inside. The Safari Ball began to rock back and forth. Finnally it stopped, and was still. "YYYEEEESSS!!!!!! We caught Scyther!"

Chapter 13

Katie picked up the Safari Ball, and watched as it disappeared. "Wait a second, is that Scyther going to Proffesor Oak?" Michelle asked. "No. It's going to the entrance of the Safari Zone until I'm done." Katie replied and they headed further into the jungle. They soon reached Area 3. "Wait a sec. What's that sound?" Michelle asked. They listened, and walked to where the sounds were coming from. They soon reached a clearing where the Kangaskhan had stopped stampedeing. Katie took out her pokédex. "Kangaskhan, a parent pokémon. This pokémon was hunted almost to extinction and now only exsists in the Safari Zone. These pokémon are very protective of their young which they carry in their pouch and will attack if they feel their young is threatened." "Now's my chance to catch a Kangaskhan!" Katie said excitedly. "Char, mander charmander?" Hope asked Katie. "What did Hope say?" Michelle asked. "Hope said how am I supose to catch 1 if, the whole herd will stampede." Katie said. "Hope's right. If you even attack 1 the entire herd will go after us." Michelle said. "Hmm." Katie stood there in thought. "I know!" Katie said pulling out her pokédex. She began clicking buttons, and the pokéball with Pikachu disappeared, while the Safari Ball with Scyther reappeared. "Go Scyther!" Katie sent out Scyther. "Scyther." it said turning towards Katie. Katie also sent out Firefang. "Firefang, pick a nice strong Kangaskhan from that herd and seperate it from the others. Scyther, keep the rest of the herd away from the one Firefang chooses." They nodded and headed off in different directions toward the herd of Kangaskhan. "What are you doing Katie?" Michelle asked. "Once they get a Kangaskhan away from the herd I'll be able to weaken and capture it while Scyther keeps the rest of the herd away." Katie said. They watched quietly. "Firefang!" yelled Firefang as it lepte into the herd and began pursueing one. Firefang quickly seperated them, and naturally the rest of the herd started stampedeing towards Firefang to save it's member but Scyther jumped out of the grass and kept them back. "Let's go!" Katie said running into the field. "Hope, I choose you!" Katie said pointing to the lone Kangaskhan. "Char char!" Hope said stepping forward. "Firefang help Scyther keep the herd away. We'll take care of this one!" Katie said, and Firefangwent to help Scyther. "Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Hope quickly Flamethrowered the Kangaskhan. "Kangaskhan!" the Kangaskhan responded by comet punching Hope. "Hope! Firespin attack, now!" Hope tried to Firespin the Kangaskhan, but it was to fast. The Kangaskhan mega punched Hope. "Maybe Firefang choose one that was to strong!" Michelle said as the Kangaskhan scratched at Hope. "Hope! Rage attack, now!" The Kangaskhan kept attacking, but only succeeded in making Hope stronger. "Kangaskhan?" it said. "Hope! Slash attack, now!" Hope slashed at the Kangaskhan, injuring it badly. "Safari Ball, GO!" Katie threw a Safari Ball at the Kangaskhan who was trapped inside. The ball rocked and rocked. They watched hopefully. "KANGASKHAN!" The Kangaskhan got past Firefang and Scyther and were now stampedeing towards them! The Safari Ball stopped rocking, Katie grabbed it, and ran! "Hope, Scyther, Firefang return!" Katie returned them to their pokéballs as she ran. No matter which way they turned the Kangaskhan followed. "How are we supose to lose them?!?!?" Michelle shouted desperately. "I know! Katie send out your Pidgeotto!" Michelle shouted as she threw one of her pokéballs in front of her. Katie nodded. "Go! Pidgeotto!" Katie shouted and threw Pidgeottos pokéball. Now Spearow and Pidgeotto were flying next to them. Now what?!?!" Katie shouted anxiously. "Spearow, Pidgeotto fly us up high so the Kangaskhan can't get us!" She shouted. Pidgeotto grabbed onto Katie and Spearow grabbed onto Michelle, and they flew up higher. They looked down at the Kangaskhan. The Kangaskhan stared at them angrily as they flew away.

Chapter 14

"That was close!" Katie said as they landed. "Yeah." Michelle agreed. "Pidgeotto, return." Katie returned Pidgeotto, and Michelle returned Spearow. "You can come out now Hope." Katie said releaseing Hope from it's pokéball. "Hey Katie. Where's your new Kangaskhan?" Michelle asked. "Kangaskhan?!" Katie said realizeing she didn't have it. She began searching the near by grass for the Safari Ball. "Char Char, Char." Hope said to Katie. "Oh yeah." Katie replied. "What?" Michelle asked. "Hope just reminded me that Kangaskhan would've been transfered to the entrance." Katie told Michelle. Michelle nodded. They continued exploring the third area. Katie looked at her watch. "Time's almost up. We better start heading back." Katie said. They walked for a while, and were about to head into the second area when they heard something in the bushes. "Matt? Is that you again?" Katie asked. "Nidoran." It responded. and stepped out of the bush towards them. It was the same Nidoran that Matt had been after. "All right! A Nidoran!" Katie shouted pulling out her pokédex. "Nidoran Male. This pokémon of Poison type is usually docile and calm, but once angered can pack a powerful hit, sometimes poisoning it's enemy." Katie stared at the Nidoran as it stared at her. "Hope! Go!" Katie pointed at the Nidoran. Hope stepped forward. "Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Katie shouted. Hope hit Nidoran, who counter attacked with Horn attack. They kept fighting. Back and forth. They were both so evenly matched, it could go either way. "Hope! Take it out with one last blow! Fire Spin!" Katie shouted. "CCCHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!" Hope shouted, unleashing a huge Firespin! The Nidoran tried to avoid it, but couldn't move fast enough and was trapped inside the rageing enferno, known as Fire Spin. After a few seconds Hope stopped. There was the Nidoran. It was battered, bruised, and extremely confused. "Safari Ball, GO!" Katie shouted, throwing the Safari Ball. The ball rocked, but finally stopped. "YYYEESSS!!! We caught Nidoran!" Katie shouted. Katie was about to pick up the ball when it burst open! Out popped Nidoran, furiously. It became surrounded in a bright light. "Oh no! Nidoran's evolveing!" Michelle shouted. The light cleared and there stood Nidorino. It seemed pretty pissed off. Katie, Michelle, and Hope stood there, paralyzed in fear. The Nidorino charged. "VVVUUULLLLL!!!!!!!" Nidorino was engulfed in another Fire Spin! "It's the Vulpix that helped train Sandslash when it was a Sandshrew!" Michelle shouted happily. "NIDORINO!!!!" shouted the Nidorino furiously, than it charged. "Vulpix!" Vulpix charged towards the Nidorino. It looked as if there was going to be a head on collision but, Vulpix dove to the left out of the way, confusing the Nidorino. It than quickly spun around and Flamethrowered the Nidorino. Vulpix was strong, but not even close to as strong as that Nidorino! The Nidorino hit Vulpix with Horn Attack, knocking it senceless! "Vulpix doesn't stand a chance against Nidorino!" Michelle was oviously upset. The Nidorino was going to finish off Vulpix, who was on the ground in pain. "Hope! Skull Bash attack, now!" Katie shouted. The Nidorino turned around. Hope hit it smack in the side of the head! Both wobbled, dazed from the blow. "Hope! It's time to show how a real pokémon fights! Rage attack, now!" Katie shouted, to intent on winning to notice Team Rocket in the bush behind her. The Nidorino charged for a Tackle attack. "Hope! Hold your ground!" Katie shouted. The Nidorino hit with great force! Hope stumbled backwards a little became enraged! "Hope! Flamethrower attack, now!" Katie shouted. Hope powered up and hit Nidorino with such great force it was knocked backwards. "Nidorino!" shouted the Nidorino as it charged at Hope for Horn Drill! "Hope! Watch out!" Katie shouted. "CHHAARR!!" Hope screamed as it flew backwards through the air. It landed with a sickening thud. By than Team Rocket had moved to a different position so as not to be hit by the Nidorino when it charged. Hope layed there, so injured it couldn't move. "Hope return!" Katie returned Hope to it's pokéball. The Nidorino began to charge towards Katie, Michelle, and the Vulpix in Michelle's arms. They stood, frozen in terror. Hope's pokéball burst open and Hope charged towards the Nidorino. They collided, Hope fell back from the blow. "Hope!" Katie shouted in fear of losing her best pokémon friend. "Go Firefang!" Katie shouted grabbing it's pokéball. "Char." Hope said shaking it's head as it lay on the ground. It didn't want any help! "Hope, your hurt to badly to battle. Come back!" Katie pleaded with Hope, but got no results. Hope took another hard blow. It's tail flame was growing larger, got Hope was beggining to lose conciousness. "Charrrrrr." Hope moaned and was now barely standing. The Nidorino charged past Hope, oviously board of beating up an injured pokémon. It smacked right into Katie! "Ahhh!" Katie screamed as she flew back into a tree. She fell to the ground and moaned. Hope was completely enraged. "Char char mander! Charmander char char mander!" Hope shouted to the Nidorino who just began laughing at Hope. What Hope said was 'You can beat up on me! But never, ever hit my trainer!'. Hope began slashing at the Nidorino. Who tried to fight back but Hope dodged all it's attacks. Hope powered up and unleashed a Flamethrower attack so strong thanks to it's own determination and Rage attack that made Firefang's Fire Blast attack look weak! Katie was just getting up as the Nidorino fell to the ground. "Nido...." It said weakly. "Huh? What the? Oh yeah! Safari Ball, go!" Katie shouted, throwing the Safari Ball. The Nidorino was zapped inside. It struggled a little but quickly gave up, and it's Safari Ball was transferred. "YYEESSS!!! We caught Nidorino!" Katie shouted.

Chapter 15

Just than, "Here comes trouble..." "And you can make that double." "To protect the world from devestation..." "To unite all peoples within our nation." "To denounce the evils of truth and love..." "To extend our reach to the stars above." "Jesse!" "James!" "Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth! That's right!" They recited. "Don't you guys ever give up?" Katie moaned. "No we don't little girl. And your going to give us a reason to stop bugging you by handing over your rare pokémon." Jesse replied. "Yeah so hand over the pokémon!" James chimed in. "That's about as likely as hope evolveing into a Blastoise." Katie commented. "Yeah so get lost." Michelle shouted in Jesse's face. "No one yells in my face! Go Arbok!" Jesse said furiously. "Go Weezing!" James said throwing Weezing's pokéball. "All right Hope! It's time for battle!" Hope stepped forward. "Arbok Posion Sting attack!" Jesse ordered. Arbok dove for Hope and got a direct hit! "Weezing, Sludge attack now!" James shouted. "Weezing!" Weezing covered Hope in sludge. "Hope! Return!" Katie returned Hope to it's pokéball. "Now it's time for you to hand over all your rare pokémon!" Meowth commented. "I'm not licked yet! All right, time to make your debute! Go Dratini!" Katie shouted. "Bubbles, double team!" Michelle shouted, sending out Bubbles. Dratini and Bubbles appeared side by side. "A Dratini! If we give that to the boss we'll be his favorite for sure!" Meowth shouted. "Arbok Glare attack!" Jesse shouted. "Dratini, Bubbles don't look at Arbok!" Katie shouted. "Weezing Tackle them!" shouted James. Weezing hit Bubbles hard. "Bubbles hang in there!" Michelle shouted. "Dratini, watch out!" Katie shouted as Weezing slammed into it. "Dratini!" shouted Dratini surprised. Arbok and Weezing kept diving and hitting poor Dratini. "All right Dratini, we can't out manuveur them, so you'll have to out run them! Agility, now!" Katie shouted. "Dra...ti...ni!" shouted Dratini, now dodging the attacks easily. "All right Bubbles, stun them with Water Gun!" Michelle shouted. "Wartortle!" shouted Bubbles as hundreds of Gallons of water gushed from it's mouth. "All right Dratini! Slam attack, now!" Katie shouted. Dratini slammed itself into Weezing who flew backwards, hitting Arbok. "Arbok, Weezing are you going to let yourselves be beaten by these two tiny pokémon!" Jesse shouted. "Dratini! Get rid of them with Dragon Rage!" Katie shouted. "Dragon Rage!" shouted Jesse, James, and Meowth at the same time. Dratini hopped into a near by pool of water ad began swimming round and round. Faster and Faster. Soon a huge water tunnel appeared, every other ring in the water tunnel disappeared and was replaced by fire. The tunnel came out of the water and trapped Team Rocket inside. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" They shouted as the tunnel shot them through the air. "Great work guys!" Katie shouted happily to Dratini and Bubbles. "I think we better get Hope and Vulpix to a Pokémon Center soon." Michelle commented. Katie nodded and returned Dratini. They headed towards the entrance. "Finnally almost out of here." Michelle said as the front entrance came in sight. "Wait a second. What's that sound?" Katie said stopping Michelle. They listened. "It's coming from over here." Katie said following the sound. They looked into the tall grass near the entrance. "What's that thing?" Michelle said pointing out what was making the noise. Katie took out her pokédex. "Parasect. This Bug/Grass type pokémon is the evolved form of Paras." "Cool! A Parasect! Your mine Parasect!" Katie said throwing the pokéball holding Firefang. "Firefang!" growled Firefang. "Parasect?" The Parasect began examining Firefang curiously. "Firefang! Flamethrower attack, now!" Katie shouted. "Fire Fang!" Firefang covered Parasect in flames. "PARASECT!" shouted the Parasect. "Firefang! Slash attack, now!" Katie ordered. Firefang slashed at Parasects mushroom. Parasect lay there injured and confused. "Safari Ball, GO!" Katie shouted throwing a Safari Ball. The Safari Ball rocked a little bit than stopped. "YYEESSS!!! We caught Parasect!" Katie shouted. The Safari Ball disapeared. They walked out the front entrance. "Hi Kay! What did you catch?" Jeff asked. "I caught Scyther, Kangaskhan, Nidorino, and I just caught a Parasect." Katie said happily. "Oh than these ones are yours. Jeff said handing Katie four Safari Balls. "Thanks. See ya." Katie said as they left. "Bye Kay." Jeff said and went back to watching a pokémon battle on TV. "Katie, what pokémon are you going to use to fight Koga this time?" Michelle asked. "Well, I'll use Nidorino and I'll use Hope again. That battle against Nidorino had to have given Hope a LOT of experience points." Katie replied.
