Well, I'm for it.
Pokémon
Leaf & Fire will come packaged with a wireless game link device in
Japan. Now, that is goodness. Nothing more to say there. Comment? -PAW/09/30/2003-
Keenspace Kraps on Hbomb.
YAY!
Oh, Snowflake Studios, Yellow Snow, and DMG Blizzard are down right now
as Keenspace kontinues to kause Hbomb pain. I forgot the link he gave
me to show you; but hey, check the forums here to see if he posts it! I want to make a special picture for when we break 1050 reviews. So, look forward to it! Hbomb gets milked today! Umm.. read it and yum? Comment? -PAW/09/30/2003-
Just a bit I noticed.
In a way, comparisons in educational quality in Japan to North Korea is blasphemy. But, damn, they know about as much English as American kids do. Think this is bad? You should see Japan's deficit. That would take a lot of Enjou Kousai
it would take to put their economy back up? Speaking of that sort of
thing.. ever consider it, Mr. President? "These are my daughters and
you can date them for ONLY $78 Billion or at least that Prada Bag. Oh,
yeah." Comment? -PAW/September 23rd, 2003-
Hey! Get Rational!
Well,
I'll get you a Viral Speak in a bit soon; but to be honest.. I feel
viral tonight.. as in I have a cold. Yuck. Headache, feel tired, sleep
much, not wanna update. But I love you all; sooo you get a short
introduction column from a multi-weekly column by me! Philip! Yes,
enjoy the Philip Rational while I look for sharp objects that are found
on the ground to poke Hbomb with for not getting his article to me! It's in the Library! You diggy-duggy? Comment? -PAW/September 23rd, 2003-
Sunday in Reviews...
Hey!
For some reason, I felt like working! So, here's two more reviews! Robb
on Red Alarm, and Duke on Yu Gi Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the
Destined Duel. The name is surprisingly NOT longer than the review, and
Duke -unlike Foxlord- actually plays the CCG, so who knows... it'll be
a fun read! They are in the REVIEWS section! Of course. Comment? -PAW/September 21st, 2003-
Not that you care...
Hey,
I updated the Newsity Archives a little. Also restored the button link
to the Forums for the time being. Just clicky-clicky on the buttons on
the side if you want to. You don't have to; but you may want to. Who
knows. Comment? -PAW/September 21st, 2003-
2 Fast and 2 Sonicous
Just like a bad movie about street racing, Sonic blasts onto the scene
in yet another sequel. Hey, they just announced Sonic Advance 3, so why not
sink your teeth into a new review of Sonic Advance 2? (Finally) It contains
no crappy acting; but it does contain Cheese, Cream, and a brand new word
for your hardcore gamer vocabulary! Just speed on into the REVIEWS section
. Or you can think of this as a review of the GBA version and a preview of
the eventual N-Gage port. See, we can have "fair and balanced" coverage of
other portables. Hah! Comment? -PAW/September 20th, 2003-
Somehow, I feel compelled.
We cover Game Boy, and anime here at DMG Ice. We are staunch and die-hard
Game Boy advocates for the most part. We will cover other systems in "The
Bargain Bin" via in-depth reviews starting -again- in October. However, I
was made aware of a new handheld this morning while reading yesterdays copy
of USA Today. I can only take so much of USA Today normally; but this article
was about competitors to the Game Boy Advance dynasty. One in particular
seemed interesting. Now, my feelings on the N-Gage is that it is poorly designed
ergonomically, logically, and aesthetically. I do not think that system has
as much of a chance as it deserves. However, if anyone wants to bother acquiring
one for a review, we have no qualms against giving the N-Gage a chance. I
rather like their version of Tony Hawk, and Tomb Raider. The PSP is a colossal
mess and I will get into why Sony is ruining the handheld industry in an
editorial later. However, the main surprise for me was The Zodiac. I went
to the website for this system
and realized that I was looking at my next Palm Pilot. I do not believe
that this system will do any kind of damage to the Game Boy Advance's market
whatsoever. Can you play Final Fantasy Tactics or Wario Ware on The Zodiac?
No. But you can write reviews for those games on the Zodiac, keep track of
your tricks, play a really good looking version of Tony Hawk 4, take
advantage of BLUE TOOTH TECHNOLOGY, enjoy the damn fine PALM OS, listen to
music, watch movies on SD CARDS, and do all that with style. The unit looks
to be the size of a normal balm unit, the system has good looking design
written all over it. This is my next Palm Pilot. It is in no way ever going
to KO the GBA; but any and all PDAs are SOL when this hits the market. Comment?

So long and thanks for the fish.
The forums are going out the window now. Here's the link to them
; but once this gets archived and fully abandoned, it will disappear. The
forums will be reopening -off the main site- later on this year. Hopefully
in time for a chatty and busy Christmas season. The Snowflake Studio/DMG
Blizzard/Yellow Snow forums will remain up; but the eventual plan is to move
them all to a new server where they will be crunch and satisfying. Comment?

News on the front?
Genius is never expedient. However, I was looking over the newest specs on
the Sony Poor Sexual Plodder device. AKA the PSP. Lemme get this right: Big
screen, ten buttons, one D-Pad, on analogue stick, USB port, TV Out, memory
card slot, etc. I knew it was going to be large; but I was unaware that I
owned the PSP back when it was called the Atari Lynx. The best is yet to
come though as the battery life is a ginormous 4 to 6 hours. You know, thank
you Sony. Comment?

Hbomb's your pants.
Well, Philip works on a new column of his own and on that Viral Speak. (Hey, drinking takes time?) But here's a new column for the Library
! It's another column from Hbomb

We all have our drugs...
Mine happens to be LIFE. This morning, I pissed off one of the other employees. I just started smiling this
morning and she was like "Why are YOU smiling?" I said: "Two reasons. One,
I'm alive. Two, this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and
be glad in it." She frowned, called me a smartass, and went back to work.
See! Happiness is threatening. So, make sure you are plenty happy to harm
the other people emotionally. -end rant- Comment?

Sonic Forces a Pokémon
Nintendo of Japan announced Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Leaf
Green (Our Water Blue) in Japan. These are remakes of the original games
that contain the original Pokémon and work with Ruby and Sapphire.
Due out this year in Japan and due out in America next year. In Europe, THQ
and Sega are going to be releasing the previously unmentioned SHINING FORCE
and SONIC ADVANCE 3. Shining Force is a remake of the original game. Sonic
Advance 3 is the sequel to the game I will be putting a review of up later.
But for now, eat that newsity and then drink in this NEW VIRAL SPEAK

Remember in September.
Today we need to take a moment, put away whatever labels we give ourselves and be silent
. We had thousands of Americans die today and many people are still learning
to live and cope without those who we lost. The history of America is a tragic
and bloody one. We lost hundreds on our way over to this great land that
God has given us. We then lost hundreds more as we struggled to live here.
We lost hundreds if not thousands fighting for our freedom, independence
and liberty. When we had established our Nation, we lost thousands
more expanding it. We lost thousands of lives in trails of tears, sweat,
blood, and ambition. We lost thousands bringing over more people and we lost
thousands of those people in foolish slavery. We fought and killed our own
friends, families, and neighbors in an ironic fight to keep us united. We
lost thousands if not millions in our first fight against the tyranny of
the Kaiser. We lost millions to our economic struggles. We then lost millions
of irreplaceable souls to a second world wide war against tyranny and evil.
Then we lost to the greatest evil in Korea and in Vietnam. An evil that lay
in our own hearts. An evil of cowardice, sloth, greed, apathy, and pure hateful
spite. We have fought many smaller wars and battles since then. We have brought
so much and sacrificed so much. Billions upon Billions of people have died
so that we can stand here today and be free. We need to take a moment of
silence and think of those people. The word hero is not the proper word we
should use to describe these people. They are just ordinary people doing
ordinary jobs in extraordinary times. They are not heroes, legends, sacrifices,
or fools. They are Americans. They are human beings. They are something amazing
just because you and I will not forget them. And we must not forget them.
If we ever forget them, then their lives and their deaths will mean nothing.
To be forgotten is worse than death. We can not condemn these people to that
fate. So we must take the time to remember them. We may not know all their
names, what they looked like, how they spoke, or who they loved. But we do
know that they did exist and they have affected us deeper than we may ever
know. The real spirit of this day is that we remember. That is what this
day means, and that is what must be done. People who forget the lost begin
to lose themselves. We remember to preserve ourselves and our memories. That
is all we should do today. We should remember.
Now, I know you don't want me to forget about updating the normal parts of
this site. Today may be a national holiday but I am still going to update.
I put a hold on the New Viral Speak; because I KNOW you all want to comment
on my comments about today. For those who want to know something happy about
today. Advance Wars came out in stores in the USA on this day and the original
airing of the English version of Sailor Moon appeared on this day as well.
So, Game Boy and Anime fans have two positive things to remember about today.
Well, I will have two new reviews for our Game Boy reviews up later today..
Suki Nihon will also update with two new reviews. Do submit comments quickly
so you can get them in before the newest one goes up. Anyway, sorry about
the lack of updates. Snowflake Studios, Yellow Snow, and DMG Blizzard all
update frequently, so if I fall behind on giving you content.. PLEASE remember
to check out Snowflake Studios. That almost always is updated with something
new. Thank you! Comment?

Game Link-less?
Apparently, Nintendo enjoys fisting our brains with bizarre patents and odd kinky diagrams. Check this one
out. Apparently, it's a wireless link cable do-hickey. Would be nice to
have. Imagine trading Pokémon or playing a multi-player game
of Bomberman without wires. Just pop this onto your GBA and play with others
who have it. Seems like an excellent idea to me. Comment?

Pokémahone, I'm FIVE!
We all remember the good old days before Pokémon came out in the United
States, right? When the Game Boy Pocket was coming out in an Ice Blue color,
and the big games were Wario Land 2 and I was wondering if that Pocket Monster
game was going to be good. Back before RPGs suddenly ALL had monster collecting
in them. Pokémon started such a stir here and it's now turning Five
Years old in September. Wow. Older news archives up real soon. Comment?
