Rare? Still there.
According to Rare, they still intend
to develop for the Game Boy Advance. After abandoning the idea of Game Cube
and PS2 development, those.. people.. at Rare still intend to proliferate
their games on the GBA. So, we'll get Perfect Dark, Banjo, Conker, Sabrewulf,
etc. Although...I wouldn't mind say.. Cobra Triangle or R.C. Pro Am Advance.
I'm actually a little concerned that they are still doing GBA titles. I thought
that Microsoft totally had them.. but.. not the case. Click HERE
to see why I'm a little worried about Rare's continuing GBA support. Oh,
well. It's good news for people who like their games Rare and not well done.

Sonic Advance 2 appears to have a
new chaacter that looks like a Rabbit in it. Sadly.. it's not Bunny Rabot.
*whines* It's Cream! And she has brought her Chao friend Cheese! Isn't that
a strange brew. I guess the Japanese will feel the sunshine of her love this
Winter. Capcom has announced Onimusha Tactics for GBA. Consider the pants
of tactical gamers everywhere.. officially.. creamed... with cheese. Damn
it Sega.. please don't make it so easy! Yoshi comes out today! Yoshi likes

Naw, Rare keeps those... according to CNN.
According to CNN,
Rare is keeping Perfect Dark, Conker, and Banjo Kazooie. Then again, it's
not like Microsoft or Rare has officially announced what they get to keep
and this is coming from CNN. The people there can't COUNT, let alone read
a press release. So, who knows? Personally, I like Conker. I didn't buy Banjo-Tooie,
and Perfect Dark was pretty neat. I thought. Although, none of those are
enough to make me want to rush out and buy an XBox. In fact, I would steer
clear of whatever Rare makes first... I mean.. they work with a 128-bit system
with a straight forward architecture for a while.. then they're expected
to try working with a 32-bit system that is dependent on a video card to
look remotely decent? Rare was never a PC developer as far as track record
goes. It's like letting a person work on a game for PS2 or Game Cube, then
trying to make them put the same game on an Atari 7200. It's an inferior
machine. Rare also isn't used to not being allowed time to grow their games.
Microsoft doesn't exactly have a good record for letting first parties delay
games until they are done. Oh, well. *hugs Q Fund* We have Square back..
so.. I have a hard time mourning Rare.. especially with people like Retro

Just got a hard copy of the Nintendo disowns Rare bit. Well, here's a little bit from the release.
"Nintendo
will retain exclusive rights for all original properties and franchises featured
in games developed by Rare, including Donkey Kong(R), Diddy Kong(R) and Star
Fox(R)."
Well, the highlighted bit looks like it might apply to Conker and Perfect Dark. So, for now.. I guess we keep those. -PAW/09/22/2002-
