Snowflakes.
No snow in MO, yet.. so.. instead check out the Snowflake's update. I've got a HUGE backlog of Fan Fiction and reviews now and an Oddish update in text; but not in html yet. That's what I've got to work on.. we'll see if I can get it done. Oui... Not to mention I got some nifty Viral Speak to put up.. and it's umm.. something. -PAW-

Umm.. yes. You see, somewhere along the way this week.. I messed up the dates and ended up where this is for Friday and not Thursday. What does this mean? I'm not sure. It means that this is the weekend update deal, you know.. where I add new articles during the weekend at random. Hey, you'll get TWO Viral Speaks this weekend end. One today, one later. What an INTERESTING four day weekend this will be.... he he he. Oh, I like the whole rant/speech long paragraph deal; but it has a few faults. I know what to do! I'll rant here and then seperate the long rant into a trailing series of paragraphs. In other words, I'll be ranting on a subject and then the paragraph will stop. Swan Rant. **
Then start again in the next column. Unique huh? Kind of like a series of songs or poems with a conjoined meaning. Disjointed but together, like a Radiohead song. (Note to Adrock: I don't own any of their albums yet; but I'll get one sooner or later.. I swear. I can't live off Napster alone.) Speaking of disjointed, the October 19th issue of IGN Pocket's "Q-A" reeks of a disgraceful word. Allow me to say it. That word is "suck". It struck me as pathetic. Does Dave know anything but dancing? Well, he certainly doesn't know Wonder Swan. He said it had little chance of commercial success in the USA. That is just simply not true. The Wonder Swan won't beat the Game Boy; but it has a better chance than SNK did. Not just Final Fantasy is on it. If you look at it and think just Final Fantasy, you're missing it's other big deals. Mainly Gundam Wing, Digimon, and the deals it has with Sony. It can connect to the PS2. Kind of enough to get it about 10% of the market if you ask me. Now, that wasn't GBC related, I know. I'll get into the GBC portion of it in a second. -PAW-
 

Make Mine Mythri. ***
A lot of mention of Mythri; which IGN Pocket NEVER put up a preview for. That in itsself is cause for outrage. We have a preview right HERE. Look at the game, adore the funny as you know ALT text. Drool in anticipation. Hey you can even hear some music from Mythri in Radio DMG. Now that last letter in the "Q&A" made me MAD. For one, Mythri uses a standard RPG battle idea. Nothing wrong with that, even Chrono Cross does that. Is Chrono Cross bad? No. The interesting part of this typical RPG battle engine is the spell-casting engine. It's different to say the least. I doubt anyone at Team XKalibur started work on the game to make it a "Final Fantasy Killer", it was made because they wanted to make a game and the current crop of color RPGS -for the most part- deal with monster collecting at the expense of sweeping plots. The idea of Mythri is to present a story. A story with nice characters you will like, sympathize for, and enjoy. A story you will have fun with. That's the idea. The game should be published. I see no reason for it not to. Vatical actually released the previously freeware ROM "Yar's Revenge" as a commercial release. I say, go ahead and tell your friends and family to sign that petition. It's still there. -PAW-
 

Pocket Monsters GET! ****
Speaking of still there, Radio DMG is still going to be doing Pocket Monster Mash 2000 from the 29th of October to the 1st of November. It's basically three to four hour long playlist with good stuff. Not your normal randomly chosen Game Boy tunes from a huge database; but instead.. a huge playlist devoted to games with monsters. There will be a lot of Pokemon songs, and tunes. In fact, it'll be all monsteriffic. Especially if you LOVE Pokemon. Live365 has a blanket liscense, so I can safely let you hear some awesome stuff. Not all the songs will be Game Boy tunes, sorry about that; but for this little event, I suppose we can make an exception to the ONLY Game Boy music rule. It'll be good. And I want you to be a part of it too. Send in some original Pokemon/ Dragon Warrior Monsters/Lil' Monsters/ Monster Rancher Battle Card poetry. I might read it on the radio. Oh, can I get a vote here... should we exclude/include "Digimon" music from the playlist? And for those who are *really* Pokemon fans; I have a Pokemon the First Movie: Store display in my basement. Never been assembled. I'm going to auction it off soon. How much would you be willing to pay for such a display? -PAW-

Boogie woogie woo! Anyways, here's my big rant. Pokemon Gold and Silver sold.. *gasp* over 1.4 million copies in ONE week. That's more than any PS2 game will sell in the US this year. *snickers* Oh, I would also like to point and laugh.. then cower my head in fear. Microsoft is making SoulStream Brew with the Flashback clone Oddworld. It's never going to be on PS2 or any other console. Oh, wait! What about.. portables? Some companies.. don't consider the GBC to be a console; instead calling it a "portable". Saying "Tomb Raider will not be on any Nintendo Console" means no for the N64, and yes for the GBC. No Oddworld on N64? But.. hey! We got the first two on GB and GBC. See what I'm saying? Game Boy has all the open doors that the N64/Dreamcast/Play Station do not have. He he he. We will see. -PAW-

What can I say, Game Boy gots good stuff. And here are six new reviews to prove it! Oh, for those wondering.. the Pokedex is under repair/construction. Oui! Oh, if anyone knows where I can find some normal sized pictures of the new 100 pokemon that don't have "eagb" plastered all over their background. or are taken from game sprites. Please let me know. 'Kay? Speaking of Pokemon. We get our second Pokemon Pikachu GS device review. YAY! We also got a lot of hardware/devices in the reviews today. From the Nuby Cobra Light (Remember the thing I couldn't mention at E3? This is it. Does it kill the Worm Light? I think it does.) Sure it kills the Work Light; but can it kill the Worm Light Advanced? I review that too. Just so you know. We also got a Tennis and a Super Mario Bros. Deluxe review. That makes how many Mario Bros. Deluxe reviews? Hey, if anyone absolutely despised that game.. feel free to send in a review. I'm pretty much through a wave of reviews. And unless I get flooded again.. I will start refocusing my strength to that LIBRARY. I have a few fantastic works of fiction from Techni, and HBomb I haven't put up. AND I have a lot of great fan fiction from the sadly deceased Game Boy Mafia member Pallet Gym that needs to be put up in this place. Think of it as more of a tribute. I'll give those awesome bits of Fan Fiction a nice memorial on the site for that site.. and well.. we'll continue to support any writers who are still finishing up their works from the Gym. I should also squeeze in a Card Hero update sometime. But.. I'm so busy.. I need to start delegateing more stuff to people. *grins* -PAW-

I do so love to dwindle down Viral Speak into almost nothingness. It's a talent that I should probably exercise less. Anyways, I want to give you a big Viral Speak update.. so therefore.. not tonight. Tommorrow. Oh, I skipped Monday. I skipped it on PURPOSE. Yes.. I know that's wrong.. but umm.. it's something that happens here in Missouri. In these little backwater towns, we skip Monday. Stuff closes early on Monday. And.. well.. I figured.. I'm going to honour this tradition throught OktoberFest.. I mean.. October. Gotta love old Germanic settlements! The bad part? I can't find an American Volkesmarche Association in Missouri. Is there one? If there isn't.. that would be bad. That's what I miss the most.. that and Kinder Eggs. He he he.  Illegal to sell in the USA; but perfectly legal to import. A Snowflake update. Josh seems to be going in a darker, more serious manner with this season of Ice Box. I know it'll be interesting.. but right now.. it's like Sluggy Freelance killing off Zoe.. I hope it turns out okay in the end. Radio DMG had five songs added to it's list. YAY. -PAW-

Not much in the way of news. Nothing really of note. Some games shipped to stores. Nothing big this week.. other than on the 26th.. when Majora's Mask comes out and everything stops in the real world. Oh, I finally got around to putting up some excellent new stuff in The Snowflake. YAY! Anyways, a rumour is going around that Kirby's Tilt N' Tumble will be redesigned with a Pokemon theme. My opinion? Well, I think it's a bad idea. Pokemon may sell; but Kirby still sells well too. Kirby is GOOD! Here's a bit on it from Adrock! "If Kirby is good enough for Japan, it's certainly good enough for us." So there you go. Anyways, I think that there are something Pokemon shoud not be plastered on. Panel De Pon is okay.. but not Kirby's Tilt N' Tumble! Keep Kirby in it! I would however enjoy it if.. a game like Napoleon for the GB Advanced suddenly had a Pokemon theme. Imagine, you control infected Misty as you use the power of the Ratatta. (Which exist because you built house on the Ditto) to attack those foolish Kanto trainers. The dialogue would be excellent. "Ash, the knight in shining armor routine suits you; but just.. not now. The Snorlax will destroy Tarsonis Gym; I just.. I just know it. I am a Gym Leader after all." "Okay, Misty... good hunting." Oh, imagine the joy! I'd sooner a Starcraft with a Pokemon theme, than to see Kirby ousted from his game. Oh, Snowflake updated. -PAW-

2. Radio DMG: "Pocket Monster Mash" Show - Update Pending Just finishing up some funny skits commercials. Only got ONE usable poem. :( The show will be randomized again... like normal, so it'll be different every time. I figured that instead of DJing it.. I can do skits.. it's the Internet Radio.. it's also a looping random broadcast. So.. unless I was broadcasting live.. no playlist for you to read. But I can give you a run-through. It's mostly Pokemon music. and it's good.

3. Viral Speak - Update Almost done! Some very interesting things. Oh, Pikamom. I know how you can catch Ho Oh... and this trick involves the Brain Boy. In fact, I'll tell you now. Instead of altering moves, or stats... or levels.. alter the ID Number. Check the Lucky Number Lottery, then change a Pokemon to that number. You get a Master Ball each time you win the Lottery. One Master Ball a week. Use it well. It's "cheating" but not detectable cheating. The Gold/Silver Cheat Block also doesn't detect the Game Shark Pro. But that's not as good for use on the Lottery.

4. Majora's Mask - Distracting me almost as much as Tetrinet; but it's all good. Oh, if you have AOL AIM.. my name is Philipdmgice. Trust me.. once you see my icon.. you'll know I'm the real deal. Well, anyways.. I'll take on anyone of you people at Tetrinet. Don't got it? Then... just ask and I'll send you a copy via AIM. 'Kay? I likes Opponents.

Oh, in an effort to just go back to normal days and stuff.. umm.. today is yesterday; but today! Anyways, some people asked about the Pallet Gym fan fics. I'm working on puttin them in their own special section in the Library. Here is a temporary folder I put them up in, so you can see. It's umm.. nothing special at all YET; but at least you'll be able to read them in their original form while I spruce up their home. ^_^ Oh, I also did some Viral Speak.-PAW-

Anyways, I would also like to mention that we're working on something for it that will garner it more space -hopefully- and that means I can add a few more comics and scan in all my original B&W's World stuff. I would also like to take a moment and applaud Daily Radar for this special. You heard me right. Applaud and Daily Radar; with out the word killing used as a verb in a prepositional phrase.. or something. 

Adrock: Daily Radar, just like THQ, has it's moments... And they're all bad ones.
Philip: Oh.. I should mention this too.. and this. YAY! That second one though is kinda lame. I mean.. oooo.. FMV on GBA.. umm.. DUH, people.. we had FMV on the Game Boy a long time ago.

Status report!
We caught the Boo Buddies who stole the content. Unfortunately.. they were trying to eat it. We ripped a FANTASTIC Snowflake Update out of the plasma. The review is in the lab right now and is being worked on. No remains were found of the Radio DMG update.. which is okay.. it wasn't completely ready anyways. We'll do a November event deal for the Harvest. And the Viral Speak ballooned.. so we're deflateing it for use. ^_^ We're also going to try a new format thing with it.. Anyways, night! Happy Halloween.. I suppose. -PAW-

I was well.. sick yesterday. Not "little headache" sick.. "played Perfect Dark GBC and ready to barf" sick. And that's bad... anyways, Radio DMG's Pocket Monster Mash will be up by Halloween! How it's done.
Remember last year.. when it was nay impossible to find a Game Boy Color in the stores? Well, to combat that PS2 syndrome, Nintendo is stepping up GBC production by 25% or rather 2.5 MILLION units. You know how much that is? That's about as many PS2's will end up in America by next spring. *snickers* Anyways, thought you would like to know that. -PAW-
