QOTW:
"Cecil chewed silently, dreading the day he would have to explain to
everyone about what really happened to that Big Chocobo..."
QOTW: "Sadly, grade schoolers do not drop pick ups when you shoot them."
11.29 - Adam Pearson updates?! How can this be?!
- Dr. Mario and Puzzle League will be on store shelves in just a matter
of minutes, so I had to get this article up nice and quick-like! Yes,
by myself! I'm staff, I can do that! Philip is probably asleep or
something! You need this goodness now! So here it is! Yeah, you click on that and read it then you buy the game huh? Yep! Sorry if I messed up any of your 1337 coding skills, Phil!
11.24 - Just a short update! - I know, more later! But for now, click on over to our REVIEWS
section for a few interesting updates. I added some descriptions to
three of the areas: Game Boy reviews, Nintendo DS reviews, and Sony PSP
reviews. I also added three new reviews! A review of Ghost In The Shell
on Sony Movie UMD, a review of the Nintendo DS sleeper Sprung, and a
review of the Game Boy Color game Tessarae. Please enjoy them with
great enjoyment!
11.23 - Did you get it yet?
- The new Mario Kart DS, I mean. According to Nintendo, about 45% of
the people who bought the game (Over 115,000 first day!) have gone
online with the title already. For those wondering, you can go online
at most McDonalds, so you really have no excuse. In a way, this game
and the influx of new titles is the reason for slow updates at this
site. While preparing for Thanksgiving (Here in the Estados Unidos) and
working on reviews of some of the latest titles and such to fall my
way. So, that said, I wanted to mention that Snowboard Kids and Shogun
Total Conflict are both out and both a lot more fun than stodgy
corporation sites like IGN say. Just so you know. I'm pretty sure they
got their review out of all of an hour and a few minutes of gameplay. I
am preparing something for Thanksgiving! So, you may not get to eats
the flesh of ugly birds, but you will get a nice update! I do want to
take this time to make a special note that Target will be selling the
Nintendo DS (at least online so far) for $99.99USD. In Electric Blue or
Titanium colors. No word on if the bundles will drop in price. That
considered, check this bit of math.
$399.99 = A Nintendo DS and about eight games. While there in Target
with your $400USD, make sure you pick up these following eight games.
1. Mario Kart DS
2. Trauma Center: Under The Knife
3. Meteos
4. Kirby's Canvas Curse
5. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
6. Pheonix Wright: Ace Attourney
7. Advance Wars 3: Dual Strike
8. Sonic Rush
Of course, you could also wait a little longer and pick up Animal
Crossing, Mario & Luigi 2: Partners In Time, and more. Look, I just
made a list of hot games to pick up without resorting to the old "Hey!
Buy Nintendogs!" schtick other sites resort to. There you go. A much
better way to spend $400 than to waste it on a new floor heater that
also plays a half-ass version of Perfect Dark.
11.16 - Oh, what watt can do! -
I changed out the lights in the office from normal barely-decent lights
to one of those new Full Spectrum Lights. Needless to say, I feel like
Birdman feeding off solar energy. So, here is a big newspost brought to
you by SOLAR ENERGY.
1. Well, I archived the
October news finally and I am too lazy to give you a hyperlink. Click
on the "old newsity" button, mmkay?
2. I COMPLETELY
REDESIGNED AND OVERHAULED OUR REVIEW SECTION. By hand. Yes. Now that I
have fixed it, expect reviews to be way more consistent. I also
seperated the Nintendo DS games from the Game Boy games as well as
reseperating Virtual Boy from them as well. I also ditched that
entirely too complex system for other portable reviews. So, you click
on Reviews and THERE YOU ARE. Wow. Wonders of technology. You click it
and you get to the main menu. In the main menu, all options are
available. Yeah, a redesign and an overhaul by hand. You almost half
expect me to put NEWSITY in here too! I did set aside a special spot
for GBA Videos and PSP UMD Movies. So, rejoice people!
3. I am overhauling the way Viral Speak is done. You will like it.
4. Mario Kart DS is out
on the streets as is Sonic Rush and Snowboard Kids. WHY THE HELL ARE
YOU STILL READING THIS. Go get Mario Kart, Snowboard Kids, and Sonic
Rush.
5. Nintendo did not
announce anything new as of lately. Some general Revolution stuff, but
the Revolution is not a portable and I suppose you will have to find
out for yourself what they recently announced. Hint: Boring parental
controls.
6. Nintendo mentioned
they are working on a redesigned Nintendo DS. In other news, chocolate
is still delicious, fish still swim, Paris is still burning, and FOY IS
FLIGHT.
7. Today is Shigeru Miyamoto's birthday, apparently he is like 53 in Earth years. But in Nintendo years, he is Timeless.
8. I have to comment on
the stuff going around. Konami shyster Hideo Koijima recently said the
PS3 demo of MGS4 could run the same on the Xbox360, and Rare employee
Duncan Botwood said that porting Perfect Dark Zero to the Nintendo
Revolution would be easy to. In fact, the control would be more
original. That sets us up for this next bit: A SquareEnix employees
made an off-hand remark that FF7 could be ported to the Nintendo DS
with ease. While that is probably not going to happen, I would laugh
for quite a few minutes if it was announced. I own all the current high
market portables (GBA/DS/PSP) and the only PSP game I am looking
forward to the most this year is Popolocrois... which could easily be
ported to the GBA. Funny. Very funny.
9. We are getting the
sequel to Feel The Magic. It shall be called: "The Rub Rabbits." Which
is not as cool of a name as "Where Do Babies Come From?" I was looking
forward to getting weird stares smacking that down on the counter at
Best Buy.
10. PSP owners may get a
"real" Metal Gear game soon. Which is nice for them I guess. Now to go
play a "real" Metal Gear game on the Game Boy Color.
And there you have it. Snarky, tiredness and all. Now I go sleep some more. Evil increased productivity light.
11.04 - NintenBRAIN CELLS -
Hey, Paris is burning. BUT WHO CARES! Nintendo confirmed some dates for
some hotly anticipated Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance titles. So,
here you go!
- January 2006
- Electroplankton (DS) - On the 9th, online only.
- True Swing Golf (DS) - On the 23rd, retail.
- February 2006
- Drill Dozer (GBA) - On the 6th, retail.
- Super Princess Peach (DS) - On the 27th, retail.
- March 2006
- Metroid Prime Hunters (DS) - On the 20th, retail.
- Tales of Phantasia (GBA) - On the 6th, retail.
They also
announced a TBA date on Brain Training in the USA! This is extremely
good news and it is not the only good news. Nintendo still has some
more release dates to announce and we WILL be getting Final Fantasy V,
and VI on GBA in 2006. The creator of the Earthbound (Mother) series,
Shigesato Itoi, announced on his personal news blog that Mother 3 is
almost done and a final release date for 2006 is nearly prepared. This
means two things.
- NEW FREAKING EARTHBOUND.
- Nintendo
of America will eventually just have to FREAKING RELEASE Earthbound
Collection on the Game Boy Advance in the United States.
The
combined awesome of this forced me into the kitchen to pour myself
something alcoholic. So, I decided to be creative and mix some stuff in
the office kitchen. So, anyways, I nabbed the Guava Mango juice we
recently stockpiled and mixed it with about half a bottle of Blavod
(The Official BLACK Vodka of DMG Ice) and created what I call: "Dark..
Guava." Yes, I am not creative. Anyhow, I drank a big glass of that and
it was good. Thus, this news story. New Earthbound is WORTH drinking
to! New EARTHBOUND! Do not worry. I will archive all of Octobers news
soon.
