Whatcha think of the NES Classic
Series? Like them so far? Apparently a lot of people have been
complaining that the packaging is not red and white with little
mini-boxes ala the Japanese release. However, what they failed to
realize is that the game paks in the NES series are grey like NES
cartridges. A quick call to Nintendo's marketing revealed that the game
paks are going to be grey colored instead of the standard black color.
So, it seems that we did not get screwed out of a special edition
package for the US after all. To top it off, there is a special NES
Classics Box; but only as a Nintendo Power Subscriber bonus. The ads
for the special box will be tucked in with the promotional material
included with each game. The special NES Classics box has room for a
total of 10 Game Paks and a space for your Game Boy Advance SP. Since
there are only 8 Game Paks in the NES Classics series, we can only
wonder what the remaining two spaces are for. Comment? -PAW-

We know what the screen size for the
Game Boy's next incarnation will be; but not the processor. Apparently
the chip-set, while not completed, includes an ARM1176JZ(F)-S chip as
part of it's internal design, according to our R&D source. The
other part of the chipset is apparently from ATI. The ARM is supposed
to help ensure backwards compatability with previous GB games; but the
system uses another media as well. The funny thing about the
ARM1176JZ(F)-S is that it is meant for wireless and downloadable
applications as well as 3D. Although we suspect that the ARM chip is a
slave chip to a Gecko-ish main processor. What will get people's
attention the most though will be the GBN's screen. It will be an OLED
from Kodak. An OLED is an Organic Light Emitting Diode. Sharper than
Plasma and Glass HDTVs, the system screen is really sharp and gives the
PSP's mud-station graphics a run for it's money. Comment? -PAW-

Hey! Stuff and such.. and terrible delays.
Wow. One day left in the month and the cover
material is not up to fruitation. So, I guess if I don't get that DMG
Diva out tommorrow. I guess it will get delayed into the next month.
O_o Good thing I have my other cover almost done. I gotta stop working
these 10 hour days or so. O_o Oh! There's an NES style GBA SP that is
coming out in June along with collection of 8 NES games. Those are
Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda 1, Xevious, Bomberman, Ice
Climber, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and Excitebike. They sell for $19.99 a
piece. The GBA SP is $99.99. It is sweet looking. It's sexy like an NES
controller. Ah, yeah. Anyhow.. umm.. March.. WHERE DID IT GO?
Gah! If I end up putting up a ton of content on the last day, I'll keep

Nokia's NGage version 2 is to be unveiled soon! It could RULE THE WORLD! Or... maybe not.
Actually.. I think it will stand a chance after a redesign...

Some quick news to tide the time.
Well, the Game Boy Advance SP reached the 1 year
mark on the 23rd. The sales for the SP unit have been record setting.
At over 6.5 million units in ONE year. The GBA SP is the best selling
video game unit of all time. In other news, KoroKoro Comics in
Japan will have details in their April 15th issue about how to obtain a
special rare Pokemon that is the focus of the next movie. (That would
be movie #7) Nintendo will be giving away the Pokemon "Deoxsis" (#386)
to eager fans. The appearence of "Deoxsis" changes depending on which
version of the game it is in. (The versions being Ruby, Sapphire, Leaf,
and Fire.) I except that Nintendo will use their new "Joy Spot" service
to give the Pokemon to those with Wireless Adaptors. There is also a
rumor floating around and a mysterious -badly scanned- image promoting
an NES Classics Line from Nintendo. Is it suspicious and sketchy? It's
as suspicious as Richard Clarke repeating nearly ad verbatim the same
conspiracy theory that was on the New Socialists Organization's Website
two weeks after September 11th, 2001. However, unlike Richard Clarke's
new book: The scan of a NES Classics Series is a bit more credible.
We'll see at E3! In still other news, IGN had an article on the DS that completely CONFIRMS everything I've told you in my last article. DMG Ice: Tommorrow's IGN updates Today. Heh. Comment? -PAW-

The DS may support instant messages. Stalkers rejoice.
Kerry is the Democrat Presidential Nominee that voted with Lieberman to hurt the Video Game Industry. Remember that.
The DS will be playable at E3 to the surprise of no one.
There is another Fire Emblem coming out later this year that will be shown at E3, of course.
The rumor heading around about a new Game Cube Final Fantasy has a GBA side too. Think of it.
Philip is out of it and tired. After typing this quick update, he is sleeping. All Saturday is open though, so lots of fun then.

Hey, sleep happens.
Sometimes getting the news can be a chore; but I
push forward on! There's a lot of news out really. One such thing is
the "specs" on the Nintendo DS. Those are not the finalized
specs, and they are subject to change. There is also a
discrepancy on a few of them. Until more is done to back them up, we'll
leave the specs in an upcoming Philip Rational. Understood? Now, the
next thing is that Nintendo may be setting up an IM style
communications network with the Nintendo DS. Sounds like fun to me. I'm
for it. As atonement for my missing so many days, please accept a short Viral Speak
as a peace offering. For those afraid of that ad banner on the right
hand side.. just know that I am testing it. It's from Nintendo. I think
it is kind of neat. Comment? -PAW-

Sleepiness!
Well, not really anything new to report. It has been a little slow lately; but other than that. Suki Nihon updated.
Three new reveiws. I'm slowly going over all the reviews and content
for Suki Nihon, our main section, and S.A.R.S. that I haven't put up
yet. I will use March to get as much of it up as possible! Comment? -PAW-

In like a Lion.
Over here, the weather is extremely soggy and miserable. There are high
winds and lots of rain. So, I suppose that March will be going out like
a lamb. To celebrate the duality of the Month of March, there will be
an increased amount of DS coverage with a special series of editorials.
We will also have TWO DMG Diva Interviews. Chiyo and Sakaki from
Azumanga Diaoh. Azumanga Diaoh has a Game Boy Advance game; but there
is extremely little chance of the game coming out over here. The Manga
(comic book) and the anime will be coming out here via ADV Manga and
ADV Films. There is a Web Animation and a short 8 minute movie that ADV
will also be releasing here along with toys and other merchandise. The
Manga is already out and three volumes of it are available for
purchase. The anime comes out in April. I think you will all enjoy it.

If you are not tuning into O.C. Remix,
than something is WRONG with you. However, if you are; than you know
what I am talking about. One of the most recent remixes is a remix of the main theme from Great Greed. The remix rocks and so does the game. Anyhow, the remixer has a website.
It is imperative that we all demand the creation of a remix of the
"Wasteland" theme (overworld music in Bio-Haz's domain) and that one
theme from that one part in the game with Princess Citrus that I can
not say anymore about. For those who need a refresher on what Great
Greed is; the reviews we have of it are linked here as well.

On a small news scale: The Nintendo DS -according to CNN- also has
video playback capabilities. Using a 128megabyte card, the system can
play about 2 hours of video. That sounds nice; but I would really like
to see what the system looks like and what GAMES it will have. So, in
layman's terms: The ability to do video playback does not mean anything
important. Comment? -PAW-
