Yeah.. Well.. I know.. slow week! What can I say? Veeery slow week! Okay, Klonoa was announced for Game Boy Advance.. and by far.. it's the worst looking GBA game I've seen. Oh, well. I'm talking graphic wise though. But.. I wanna commend IGN Pocket for nabbing this article. Yup. Oh, Keenspace was having trouble.. so the Snowflake Studios update wil be later today. -PAW-

Threesome updates?
Honestly, really. There wasn't much news at all these last few days. Really. Okay, here's some news. The Y2Kode contest that Lik Sang (Bung?) is running has run into a little.. snafu. You see, in order to judge the entries, the judges (Other developers, and people.) need to download the ROMs from their website. Anyhow, Nintendo's lawyers have actually requested that Lik Sang not make the Game Boy entries available. You know that little Nintendo logo that pops up when you turn on the Game Boy? It's actually a line of code that the game NEEDS in order to be detected by the Game Boy. (It needs that line of code to WORK). The N's Lawyer's are saying that the ROMS are illegal; because that logo is displayed. Now, these aren't games you can buy in a store. These are demos, and game submissions -like Drymouth- that are FREEWARE. In other words, games that were never picked up for publication, etc. Is this right? No, I don't think Nintendo is being fair here. But, Lik Sang is taking measures to comply with Nintendo's wishes on this matter. Just thought I would mention it. -PAW-

And it is time for.. MP3s! AND a rant, and a new poll! The Team XKalibur website UPDATED! YAY! Go and download that SWEET MP3 they have of the music from the first town. Also, check out the rant! Oh, yeah! You'll hear the new MP3 on Radio DMG soon. It's called "Fellowship" and I think you need to download it from their site IMMEDIATELY. Yes. You do. The music in Mythri is just too good to not listen to. I'm sure you'll agree that Mythri already has a Five Star Soundtrack. Ian is THE MAN. He's a composer worthy of walking amongst Koji Kondo, and Virt. I'll update the Sixth Circle soon with all the other Mythri MP3s for you to download. So now... I HIGHLY suggest that you go to Team XKalibur's Website! Also, go check out our sweet preview of Mythri... and our Team XKalibur Interview. Excited about Mythri? Can't wait for it to come out? Figures.
Pickle IGN, which has an unsurpassed brine taste, had a little feature on games with slight sound problems on the original run of GBAs. Oh, the horror! Anyways, this is too be expected. Remember THIS old article? Back when we did weekly news? Oh, yeah. Oh, wanna know WHY those games have troubles? Odd connector placements inside the cartidge boards, causes the GBC chipset in the GBA to not read the carts correctly. It's a tad sad; but okay. No big problem. It'll most likely get fixed when the Fall colors for the GBA come out. You know, green (agua), light red (fire), etc. I love how they made the current white one "Glacier" It's essentially some GBA "ice" for your pocket. hehehe. -PAW-

News?!
Not really here's a few factoids for your perusal.

1. Nintendo and EA dropped a lawsuit against Yahoo; because Yahoo has decided to put a stop to illegal auctions. Umm.. Yahoo!?

2. In Conker's Bad Fur Day (If you're old enough to have it.) let Conker stand in one spot and put down the controller. If you watch him, he takes out -usually- a Yellow Game Boy Color and plays a Killer Insinct game. Keep watching him. If you're VERY  lucky. He'll pull out a White Game Boy Advance and play the same game on it. You've got VERY slim odds of seeing the White GBA though.

3. If you have submitted a review and I haven't posted it yet.. you can resend if yoiu like.. I've been sorting through my mail and O_O I'm getting the backlog up online. Look for three new reviews in the reviews section! YAY! Dragon's Lair, a Sun Filter, and the latest Pokemon CD have been reviewed.

4. Philip is busy making calls, and drinking Hot Cocoa, while listening to Radiohead and Coco Lee. See ya tommorrow!

5. In Japan, Star Ocean is coming out in May for Game Boy Color. Expect it here this Fall. Oh, The Legend of Zelda games are kicking Z.O.E.'s mecha-booty all over the sales charts in Japan. They have claimed the First and second places in sales. Oh, yeah.

6. Inspector Gadget is coming out this week for Game Boy Color. This note will now self-destruct. -PAW-

I know we haven't been very up to it in putting up new content. Sorry 'bout that. But! Here's some news! I'm gonna stick some general news in this article then I expect you to scroll down a little and check out the little special! Yup. Game Boy Advance is going to change the way you play games. I'll tell you why. Okay, some news bits!

2. I likes GUTS! You like GUTS! Look at this thingies GUTS! Yeah!

3. Viral Speak? Yeah. I've been a bit behind. Anyways, the next issue is forming for Wednesday. O_O I'm very behind.. I blame two things. The first is PSO and the other is sleep.

4. Yup! It comes out this week! Oh, yeah! Inspector Gadget for GBC finally makes it to your local Wal Mart. Yeah!

News? Yeah.
Well, I'm busy.. I got some reviews to put up this weekend and I'm selecting some stuff for recording for Radio DMG. Anyways, here's the deal. Seeing as there's no other news today other then Game Boy Advance selling 650,000 units in it's Japan allotment on opening day. Not bad. But, let me tell you something. While a lot of sites are giving you first impressions. I think I'll do that too... yup!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: AN ORANGE! Well, when I first got the Orange, I was amazed by the lightness of the Orange. This Orange is actually fairly small. It looks like it would be heavier, like an apple; but that's not a fair comparison. It has a somewhat fleshy, if not oily thick skin to it and it has a great smell. Now, the unit is fairly durable; but still.. don't drop it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: CASTLEVANIA ORANGE! Well, I couldn't find a slot on the orange to put the cartridge in; so I grabbed a knife and stabbed it into the orange and stuck the cartridge inside. After fiddling a bit with the Orange, I discovered that there was no screen, buttons, or even a power switch on the Orange. After decideing this must be the fault of the game, I took out the cartridge and put in SUPER MARIO ORANGE, which also had the same problem. So, after messing a bit with that.. I must say that I'm unhappy with the screen; and the buttons, and the power switch, and the games; but the Orange is a solid investment! I took it apart and stuck it in my mouth and ate it. The batteries made it a little bit crunchy; but that's okay. Truly a delicious device.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: SUPER MARIO ORANGE! It had the same problem with the Orange that Castlevania did; so I gave it to the puppy. Puppy enjoyed it.

It is a good day for Content.

Okay. Everyone else is all up in a tizzy over Game Boy Advance. Oooh! Aaah! I don't have mine yet; and I know a lot of you -the readers- might not as well. So, instead of giving you screenshots, and "Look! I got one!" commentary.. we'll give you something neat. Reviews. Yup. I'm digging through my Inbox and unearthing reviews finally. So, Wednesday and Thursday are combined. You'll see. Anyways, there's two new reviews. I'm slowly garnering them out. I'm also working on a fantastically great special for you! 100 memorable Game Boy Color Moments! The defineing moments of the memorable GBC era! In other words, it's gonna rock. I'm polishing it and it will be a weekly thing until the GBA is released in the USA. It debuts with the first five later this update. So, when you're done with your GBA Te ta te stuff. We've got reviews for you! It's a combined update. Yeah. I'll have Viral Speak up for you, too. I swear on something you swear on. Don't let the babies with forks get me. Oh, word of caution.. you HAVE TO CHECK OUT THIS REVIEW! It pained me to do this review! Read it! -PAW-

You know what annoyed me today? Pickle IGN dissed the minimalistcore goodness of Game Boy Color music. Bleah. Crystal clear sound on the GBA? Yeah, whatever. I like those bleeps and bloops thank you very much. Also, Daily Ranal had the nerve to say the GBA screen was "too small". Seriously. What is wrong with those people? Oh, well. One of my favorite sites had this cute cute thing. And I would also like to mention that GBA roms are already seeping into the net. Yup.Oh, Doom and Dark Arena are First Person Shooters. They are for the Game Boy Advance. Good. -PAW-

Magi Dreams.
Like Mega Man? Go see the new preview for Mega Man Xtreme 2! YAY! Also, two new previews! Magi Nation and Azure Dreams! Also, Slib the Slime from Enix.. well.. I got an e-mail from it.. and.. this Fall.. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 will be coming to a GBC near you this Fall! Yay! Two different games.. more monsters! Yeah! Oh, Lufia wasn't canceled. ^_^ It's returned! It's now set for Summer! So.. instead of drooling all over yourself at Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.. look at the Game Boy Color and remember that a lot of damn good games are out for it and a lot more are coming. The two Legend of Zelda games, Alone in the Dark, Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Card 2, Dragon Warrior 3, Star Ocean, Magi Nation 2 (This fall/Winter!), Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, and if all goes well.. Mythri, Shantae, and T. Tex. So, if you don't have a GBA yet. Don't sweat it. There's more news to report then "Oooo! Look pictures!"-PAW-

Stuffed and Happy!
Look! Here's a little bit for you to read! Whee! Well, I got my copy of Magi Nation today and I'm busy playing it for a review on Wednesday. But, while you wait. I'll give you some impressions. Yup.

Small note to those who've read that one review. On Page 5 it tells you what the B button does. 'Kay? Anyways, the game has a nice battle engine. Now, if you're familiar with Pokemon.... you should be helplessly lost with the engine. Okay, to succeed, you need to beat up different types of animals. Because.. well.. if you want to get the best creatures.. you have to mix Animite (Dead Dream Creature DNA) together. Also, a creature is more like a summon in Final Fantasy 8. Then a Pokemon creature. After all, you don't haev to coddle or raise the monsters in this game. You basically.. use them like tools of some sort. Anyways, yeah. The text totally rocks. The graphics are really good; and the story -while similar to something you would expect in Narnia, The Wizard of Oz, or to an extent A Wrinkle in Time- is pretty cool too. Full review on Wednesday.

Mega Man Xtreme is getting a sequel in September! Mega Man Xtreme 2! You can play as Zero in this great little GBC game from Capcom! Oh, Reader PTT made an editorial and I posted it up! YAY! Click here to read it. -PAW-
