This is a clean up week...
Stuff had to be done.. so I did it. Yeah, I've gone too far.. or something. Note the right hand side.. new links and some links are removed. I've been cleaning, and polishing this week. Behind the scenes. Oh! Peter Main is stepping down from his position in Nintendo of America January 31st, 2002. The guy in charge of Nintendo of Canada takes over February 1st, 2002. Wow. Now if only Yamauchi would retire and let Arakawa run the show. We could then get Square. He he he he. Oh, I want to draw your attention to the right hand side. I updated the Voices section in the Library with something I was missing from it. An interview in case you missed it. I put up the Gallery's Link. And I updated.. "Link to Us" in the odd hope that you might.. link to us. You can do so freely. Just so you know. I also saw Jurassic Park 3 today. It's really fun.. but shallow fun. Hey.. summer movies.. aren't really for thinking. They are like Contra. Fun; but shallow. Speaking of which.. why is there no Contra movie? -PAW-

Everyone's favorite Philip has been working and typing, and working on a LOT of stuff. Well, anyhooo.. I updated the News Archives, Release Dates, and added a new Preview for King of the Fighters. Cleared some space behind the scenes, and did top secret work for another site or two. Oh, yeah! Also did the latest Squirrel comic for Snowflake Studios. Overall, I also rushed around town and it was all very productive. I suggesst catching up on the newsity. There may be some wonderful stuff you may have missed. -PAW-

So I'll just mention some random junk that ISN'T news! Today Square's Janitor (Sakaguchi) mentioned he is looking forward to the Game Cube. So that means we will see Square games on Game Cube! Wow! Amazing! Shigeru Miyamoto owns a Dreamcast. Maybe he will make game for Sega's Dreamcast console! Wow! Amazing! Oh, for crying out loud. That's not news. But seeing as Gamespot says it's news. I guess I'll report on it. Oh! Dragon Warrior 3 comes out today! -PAW-

Well, it's only news to us.
And that's why I'll report it. On July 25th is a hearing before the Senate on whether or not ratings are working. Senator Joseph Lieberman will be presideing over the hearings and Daphne White of The Lion & Lamb Project will be one of the people testifying. I think something needs to be done. Movie ratings are just now listing content. Games have been doing that for almost a year; but TV ratings (TV-G, etc) are extremely unhelpful and inaccurate. Now, if you have had a complaint about a rating on a game, movie, etc. Please go to this website and send them an e-mail detailing what, when, and where about a ratings failure to communicate. If you think that a current rating system -like the one the ESRB set up- is fair and accurate; please tell them. DO NOT FLAME The Lion & Lamb Project. They are working FOR you, not against you. Mrs. White is there to testify on whether something needs to be done or not. It would help The Lion And Lamb Project if you e-mail them with your opinion on the current rating system and details on any qualms (meaning bad experiences) you have with the current ratings systems. If something doesn't need to change, mention that too. I don't want the government rating MY games, movies, etc. But I DO want organizations like the MPAA, and the ESRB setting a rating system that is fair and easy to understand for everyone. If ratings were easier to understand and parents KNEW what they were buying, we would have less people scapegoating our games for every bad thing that happens. Personally, I think bad things happen because Ted Kennedy is still alive; but that is just me.  -PAW

Konami announced Gradius for Game Boy Advance. Well, now we have Gradius. Get me my Gyruss and Contra next! Oh, Crash Bandicoot is headed to GBA next year and Vicarious Visions is working on it. Yay! All your mascot are belong to us. Oh Crash should be here on US shelves by February. -PAW-

About the poll...
I did a little poll in the newsity and apparently everyone wants a decent pair of pants. But, here's the deal. I have a few days off of work, so I'll work on somethings. I'll be sending out e-mails to those I picked for The Oddish's new thing. (I'm thinking of moving it onto another site server like I did with Snowflake Studios, so it can grow in unprecedented leaps and bounds. Just like Snowflake Studios has.) The Pallet Memorial is well.. no longer called the Pallet Gym Memorial. I'm ravamping the Pokédex.  Because of the amazing amount of information already available online for Pokémon and the some what dwindling popularity of it; I'm streamlining the Pokédex down to being a place for Pokémon Fan Fiction, misc facts, and the Foy Campaign. Yes. Pokémon Crystal comes out near the end of the month and I want everyone to name their "l3dyb@" FOY! So, the Pallet Gym Memorial will become part of a large Pokémon Fan Fiction database that used to be our Pokédex. Radio DMG and 6th Circle MP3 will recieve updates this week. I was hard at work making some MP3s from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, and Xtreme Sports. Oh, yeah! New shirt designs will be debuted this Friday, along with a new large mug, new mousepad, etc. However, the small white mug with the dmgice.com Wind Fish logo will stay the same. That mug ROCKS heavily! I mean. Oh, yeah. You gotta buy the coffee cup. You just do. The top thing people wanted though -besides pants-  was reviews. Oh, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for GBA by March 2002. Like we didn't see that coming. Anyhow.. I have finished hiring. As you know.. HBomb is Snowflake Studios newest personage! Well.. I have hired a total of three more people. They will help Mobile Edition, Oddish, and The Pokédex. Yup! Names? Hmm.. well.. I'll reveal those soon. Also.. I'm working in conjunction with another site on a NICE little presentation that you will like AND I am also working with another site. Oh, I rented Bomberman Tournament.. I sat and played.. and.. well.. to say the least.. I will hate returning it VERY much. I actually cooed at the screen.. I mean.. I was like.. aahhhh game.. soo goood! You know that look.. when you play something that is sooo good you just kinda gawk at it? Anyhow, the GBA has sold well over a million units in the US of A alone. In under six weeks. Sony hadn't shipped out a million units in the US of A.. in six weeks. Hmm. Oh, who cares. It's about GAMES.. whihc the GBA has been selling a lot of too. -PAW-

Well, the superior to everything 1994 version. But. someone will bring it to GBA anyways! Oh! The hearings! From 9:30 AM to Noon EST! The hearings will be on rating effectiveness. No one from the ESRB will be there.. but the  MPAA, and the RIAA (Both are bad people.) will be there to defend their respect mediums. It's a FULL COMMITEE. Click this link. It's the schedule. All the other "news" sites ignored it. Which is a shame; because this is more important to YOUR ability to view content, than whatever Sony is passing off as a game today. -PAW-

Konami really Succubus.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon has sold over 500,000 copies and Konami would like to mention that they have started work on the next Castlevania game! What system it is for, has not been announced yet; but I seriously do not want it on PS2, XBox, Dreamcast, or Game Cube. Why? Because, then it might end up being 3-D. Castlevania 64 was not a bad game; but I seriously think Castlevania should stay 2-D. I think a great number of games should STAY 2-D. Mega Man, Contra, Kid Icarus, Metroid... those should stay 2-D. I want this next Castlevania to be 2-D. So, I want it on Game Boy Advance. I wouldn't mind it if they made it slightly easier for the partially blind American public to see the game this time around. That would be appreciated. -PAW-

Magi Nation: Keeper's Quest is a puzzle game. Puzzles are done in the way that Legend  of Zelda does puzzles. At E3, the demo for it had the heroine going through an area with some switches and currents. It was decent fun; but it may be teetering toward cancelation. If you believe it shouldn't be canceled; please write an e-mail to Interactive Imagination and tell them you want the game. Oh! If for some reason, you read up on websites concerning Magi Nation, "M-Pire" launched a new look for their website. You need Flash whatever No. 5 to view it; but it's interesting looking. Big Spider-Man emblem thing on it.. yup. -PAW-
