![]() February 28/2005 - Cold as Ice. February the 28th is the seven year anniversary of DMG Ice and also the birthday of Snowflake Studios Weapon-In-Chief: Hbomb. So, as part of the festivities? *sets Hbomb on fire* *runs* *watches the explosion* Anyhow, there will be some content up today! So, watch for it! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 25/2005 - Viral Speak on schedule.. Well, for lack of real news.. here is a NEW VIRAL SPEAK! Enjoy! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 22 - 24/2005 - Three Days on the Bender. - Updated! Well, news has it that a new Sarah Speaks Up is online! Oh, Atlus announced today that they will be releasing Puyo Pop Fever and Riviera: The Promised Land in the United States. Here you go! A fancy picture with the information for Riviera: The Promised Land, because I have been wanting and anticipating this game to come out over here, but it looked hopeless for a while. I apologize for the huge picture. I just could not control myself and I had already posted that same picture on Portagame and -since it is on my server- felt I should use it here too. Riviera: The Promised Land (Game Boy Advance)
Puyo Pop Fever (DS)
In honor of Monday's Presidents
Day, a three day holiday must be made! Well, not really a three day
holiday. I am just combining Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday updates
to make up for the lack of real news. On that front, the Game Boy
Advance Movie Player has a brand new update. This update "E16" greatly
improves the eBook and Lyric Display capabilities of the device. It is
tiny and easy to download. It also allows you to change font sizes in
eBooks and the file menus by pressing Select. The update is 419KB and is available at this link.
New reviews? New S.S.U.? Don't worry! There will be new uploaded
content. I am currently working on reviews of a number of games as well
as editing new reader reviews for publication. Comment? -PAW- Top?
February 21/2005 - New Editorials? I'm Forum. Monday means a new Philip Rational. Click here to see it! Also click onto the forums and do some responding! Careful though. The forums are currently in a state of weirdness. Please post though! Post what you thought of the article as well as sending Viral Speak about it! Come on people, contribute! YAY! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 18/2005 - Typical.. Hey! Friday means NEW Viral Speak. Today is no exception! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 17/2005 - A few small repairs? Well, there is something new and it is a doozy. I am testing it! Click on Reviews and check out the new review of Wario Ware Twisted! Click on another section and maybe try out something new? Working out the buggles! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 16/2005 - The art of excuses. We at the DMG Ice Institute for Advanced Awesome Studies have come to two conclusions! Delays are not awesome. Rare is still pretty cool, despite un-awesome delays. Thankfully, only a few things have suffered delays. Mainly, the new Philip Rational, S.S.U., Rare's latest XBox game (ha ha!), and a short round of reviews. (Foxlord, resend that one review. I needs it. O_O) To make up for those, I have doubled up on some Hbomby goodness! Yes, you get to Milk Hbomb not once, but twice! Yes. While we do not endorse milking explosive weapons, this time.. we may let it slide. Speaking of letting it slide: Midway has aquired the rights to make FIVE (Count them) games based on the Adult Swim properties license. This includes shows of mass suck like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Space Ghost, Brak, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman, etc. The games will be out this year or some other year after this year. No word yet on what platforms the five games will be on, but I would not mind seeing a Harvey Birdman game done like Gyauten Saiben (However you spell that lawyer game) on the Nintendo DS. The other licenses do not tend to lend themselves to proper games other than that. Wait. I got it! Aqua Teen Hunger Force Rocking ON: The only dancing/music game with MC Chris tunes to bug out too! Actually, making it a music game for the Nintendo DS would all of rock. Space Ghost and Brak are a bit harder to do. maybe they can be stupid and cheap 3D platformer knock offs for the Xbox, PS2, and PSP? Nothing other than the aquisition of the game license has been announced so far. February 14 - 15/2005 - Love stuff. Well, due to being whisked away to a secret meeting for which I can not divulge any information currently, I will be combing today and tommorrows updates! Please look forward to the massively neat amount of content on the way! Including new editorials from Hbomb, and Philip, as well as more reviews! Later tonight people! I will talk about the V-Pocket, and the latest new Pokemon: "Rukario" (Rough Japanese translation.) Comment? -PAW- Top? February 11/2005 - Quick and quick! Well, Viral Speak! Although I labeled it wrong. o_O Oh, well. Pretend it says 11! Later people! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 10/2005 - In which we touch the Sam Fisher KING. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is headed to Nintendo DS from UBI Soft. Needless to say, SWEET. Speaking sweet, there are three new reader reviews in our reviews section. Click on through! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 9/2005 - White is the new Blue. Oh! Check out this site. The people who work there are friends of ours and they're making a special controller for console games. It's nifty. Speaking of nifty.. Sarah Speaks Up again! Click and read! As for news? Well, head of Nintendo Mr. Iwata will yell at the world when he speaks at the GDC in March. YAY! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 8/2005 - Red Alert! Word on the street is that Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 will be coming to the Nintendo DS. This is not "official" yet, but it is still good word to hear. Oh, because I have such a backlog of reviews, I will be posting them in bunches! To everyone that has submitted reviews, do not panic! Your reviews will be reviewed and posted here very soon. Maybe even on Thursday! Three more reviews added today. My review of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, a review of the first volume of Family Guy for Suki Nihon in "honor" of the series returning, and another review from Duke on the first Pokemon movie. Yes, nothing current; but that will change as I spruce through the reviews stockpile. So, click on into the reviews section and enjoy! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 7/2005 - Way to blow it! Bubble Bobble Revolution and Space Invaders DS are coming to the Nintendo DS! Well, you kind of figured that would happen, didn't you? All that said, the new Bubble Bobble will feature touch screen capability! However, that is not what I will emphasize in this update! Behold! Brand new columns from Philip Wesley, Hbomb, and Adam Pearson. Also, the launch of our Valentine's Day cards for 2005! Click on the hot little blox to the right for the ViriiPOD and the Valentine's Day cards. Get them while they are hot! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 4/2005 - Sony makes me happy... hehehehe BWA HA HA HA HA! Sony has announced the PSP launch date in America! $250 USD or $300 Canadian. However, those who buy it on March 24, 2005 get it as a Value Pack. The PSP will only be available in the Value Pack for now. The Value Pack includes a PSP branded 32megabit (tiny) Memory Stick Duo, a copy of Spider-Man 2 (UMD Movie), a soft carrying case, a battery and battery charger, a pair of bad headphones, a remote control headphone attachment, and the PSP itsself. It also includes a UMD movie demo. Not too shabby a price, but still a bit restrictive for quite a bit of us. That said, Devilish was announced for DS. Devilish was a adventure/pinball game for the Genesis/Game Gear where you used two paddles ala Breakout to destroy creepy targets. But.. you want VIRAL SPEAK and there is a NEW ONE! Rejoice! Comment? -PAW- Top? February 3/2005 - They invade. The latest Media Create sales data is in and the PSP was on top again. Looks like Sony may be able to catch up soon. Oddly enough, while people are buying the PSP, they aren't buying the games. None of the PSP's game cracked the top ten. So, it seems people are using the gap in the release of DS games to purchase a PSP as well. Oh! Mist Walker, another company of ex-SquareEnix people, announced an un-named DS RPG. Also, Space Invaders has been announced for the DS. How neat? Oh, reviews should have been up today, but I ran out of precious timeness. So, here's something INFECTED instead! Comment? -PAW- Top? January 31 - February 2/2005 - Lost in Blue On the side of the site shall be a schedule of events. Each day of the week will be some sort of new content. Monday is unconfirmed yet, but I may have a Philip Rational on those days. Tuesday is unconfirmed as well. Wednesday is a new column called Sarah Speaks Up with an original DMG Diva speaking her mind on random things! Woo! Thursday is an official reviews day. Tuesday may join it as a new reviews day too. Friday is a new Viral Speak. No updates Saturday and Sunday. Sound fair so far? Oh! Nintendo has decided to let THQ use their intellectual properties in a few games. So, our dream of a Rugrats go to Zebes game will finally be a reality! "Tommy! Why is the jelly blob devouring Angelica's flesh? Was it need a hug?" Bwa ha ha! Maybe they'll put Wario and Bowser in a wrestling game? I dunno.. I think I would like that. So, this is a three day update as I explain our new schedule to everyone and finish uploading our special gifts for you this February as well as our new schedule of articles! This first week shall be messy! Bear with us! February is at hand and so is a few more bits and tidbits. Sony (Music/Movies/Computer Entertainment) only had a 23% drop in profit this last year. Not bad. I was wondering a little why Nintendo had such a drop and then I realized why: They split Pokemon Company into it's own "company" and seperated their profit reports from theirs for tax reasons early on in 2004. Yeah, so they didn't lose as much money as they say they did. Those liars! he he he. Good news all around the board today. Xbox made a real NET profit for the first time in it's sales life. That means it's a success. Sony wants to put together an iTunes like program for the PSP. Sorry, but that's stupid. (holds up iPod) If you're using your PSP as your main MP3 player, that's a little... RETARDED. It's fine to play MP3s on the thing, but seriously.. get a real music player. However, if Sony truly wants to aim their guns at the other MP3 player with their PSP. Sure. Go for it. Try and win that war. Survival Kids 3 is now called: Lost in Blue and features some awesome graphics, and a trailer with some odd voice acting. It seems like a 3D and just plain beautiful remaster of the original game. Unless Nintendo releases a new Legend of Zelda game for the DS before the end of the year or Another Code is more amazing.. I think Lost In Blue is the game of the year for 2005. It comes out in August in the USA and should be playable at E3. The latest Media Create stats (Jan. 17 - 23) read that the PSP has surpassed the PS2 in sales. Which is wonderful news for me. The Nintendo DS is in third followed by the GBA SP, and then the Game Cube. The sales data takes place before the January 27th release of Catch! Touch! Yoshi! (Yoshi's Touch & Go) in Japan. It sold 23,000 units first day. The PS2 got Radatia Stories from the ever awesome SquareEnix. Game Cube got Biohazard 4 and that sold 117,000 units first day. So, the next Media Create charts should be rather interesting. Of note, is the fact that the other four of the top five systems have shown that they can ALL knock the PS2 out of first. This is the first of many weeks in which the PSP, DS, and PS2 sell neck and neck. All but the PSP have hot selling new name titles for the next week. So, expect the PS2 to see an increase, but not as much of an increase as the Game Cube will see with the release of Biohazard 4. Yoshi's new game is hot stuff. Personally, I really -really- want Nintendo to release that Air Hockey demo from E3 in something. I would BUY it for $10. Especially if it had some crazy wireless play on it. Oh, yeah! AIR HOCKEY!
