of the Update: "Sure.. that will work.."

Expanding on..
Hey! I just spent a few hours playing Mario Tennis on my portable 32Bit
Nintendo system. The screen looks bigger than the Game Boy Colors, that's
for sure. The L & R buttons are also very comfortable. I'm glad I got
it.
I'm talking about the Virtual Boy.I spent most of the day working on
graphics, and stuff for Radio DMG.. which will be DJed soon, complete with
mock commercials!! Oh, should I put Virtual Boy music on Radio DMG as well?
I mean, it is pretty close to being a member of the Game Boy family of
systems. Just a thought. The sound chip on that puppy is cool. Oh, I do
enjoy looking back on things and so.. I got a lot done today actually.
I'm working on play lists for Radio DMG, I got more permission to run some
even more awesome music, and I have some interesting content I'm working
on. On Friday, I hope to have final results in on the Nuby contest, so
I can send out the prizes by as early as next Tuesday. Also, there is some
good news for Viral Speak. I'll have a new one, some previews, and some
reviews up really soon. Sorry for the delay.. these last few days.. I've
been really tired for some reason, and I've got a bit of work to do. I'm
eyeing potential right now.. so.. umm.. hehehe you'll see.. you'll see.
-PAW-
What's today?!
Viral Speak is fixed,I did stuff and stuff.. and I'm tired.. Happy
Valentine's Day or something. Oh, yeah.. here's some news! The next Legend
of Zelda games will be out in MAY! Praise be! Also, Game Boy Advance on
June 11th. Good. Oh.. for Valentines Day.. hmm... I know. *takes out can
of De Evolution Spray* There you go.. and also Poppy Seed.. YAY! -PAW-
Sock Monkey sits there silently thinking Sock Monkey thoughts.
Philip: I did it for all of you...
New for me to eat!
New games come out this week! Dragon's Lair from Capcom finally makes
it on to shelves and NBA Hoopz comes out this weekend too. Out of those
two.. I would suggest Dragon's Lair. It's FMV-delicious! -PAW-
Adrock: I recommend NBA Hoopz simply
because they spelled it with a z.
Philip: I recommend you don't pay
attention to Adrock; because his name ends with a K.
A Fen for life.
I read Video Senki. Fun site and it has a recently translated interview
that is worth your
click and read. I truly suggest you do. -PAW-
Adrock: Have a super fun!
Philip: I'm physically fit; maybe
I should work with Capcom?
Previews MADNESS
Hey.. there was a previews
update.. just so you know. Maybe a new review or two... if I can get them
up there.. I'm wrestling with some CGI. -PAW-
Adrock: It's why you still come
here.
Philip: I thought it was my charm!
Just a note.
February.. announcement of Dreamcast phase out, Lufia: The Legend Returns
canceled, Viral Speak is having troubles, and Napster is ruled to shut
down. Also.. Valentines Day is this Thursday. Is this the worst month ever
or what? -PAW-
Adrock: In Napster's case... America
has always really been capitalism in a land of people... people don't thrive
off of people, they thrive off of business. And that's why Napster could
never work. It's giving you something free that a business-oriented world
would have you pay for.
Philip: I wish I could go back
in time and copyright spit. Then, whenever people kissed, I could demand
they pay me; because they were sharing spit, which I would own the copyright
on. I would make a fortune around this time. hehehe.

Philip isn't on strike!
I know.. I know.. I got a Dreamcast today.. and umm.. well.. I also
got a bunch of Magi Nation cards.. and... and.. well.. you get the idea.
Phantasy Star Online is online digital addictive drug or something.. Oh,
Nyko is being an dimp aboutt their new "patent" read below in the news
and you'll understand. They even have the nerve to go after the Cobra Light.
Feh. Forgive the curse word; but that is a bastardly thing to do. It's
just not right. Oh, well.. what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.. I
suppose? I suggest you go buy a Cobra Light to show your support of the
product. I don't use the Worm Light; and I don't think you should either.
I use a Cobra Light. I have three myself. Great devices. Also, avoid the
Blob Light as well. You could also do what Pikamom did and import one of
those nifty Pikachu lights. That would be col. Oh, impending shortage on
the GBA? Maybe... but here's a little bit more stuff for you to enjoy.
1. Sometime later today.. I'll upload 5 new reviews. Watch out for them.
;)
2. If you're on Phantasay Star Online.. I hang out there.. if you have
Yahoo IM, AOL AIM, or ICQ.. add me to your list.. then if I'm online..
and I'm not too busy.. we'll go questing with ya. ^_^
AIM: Philipdmgice
Yahoo: dmgice
ICQ: 10714727
3. CoCo Lee has a sweet voice. (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon soundtrack.
Oh, yeah.)
4. Rayman for the Game Boy Advance has a multi-player game link mode.
Two Player "Capture the Flag" or probably.. the "Lum".. mmmmm.. I'm drooling
already. Nothing like sharing some lum with a friend. hehehe
5. Thursday will have a new Viral Speak.
6. If you haven't seen Weak Link at Snowflake
Studios.. do so! I'm busy on that site too! I'll be adding the
Short of the Stick archives ASAP. As well as the Weak Link archives.
7. The 26th of February is the "Official" 3rd Birthday of DMG Ice.
We're actually a year older then that.. but we were "DMG Ice" for three
years.. instead of Philip's Game Boy website. We're still the oldest. The
second oldest Game Boy website still in exsistence is EAGB.
They're cool too. ^_^
8. Nintendo will be showing the Game Boy Advance at the Tokyo Game
Show 2001. Yay. Oh! Famitsu (Pay for props review central.) gave the Legend
of Zelda Time/Season games.. Silver. Which isn't bad. They scored as well
as Zone of Enders. Which is well.. no surprise. ^_^
Happy Presidence day.
Philip is exhausted.. he umm.. been working on stuff.. and stuff..
oh forget it. Here's a little bit of news for everyone!
1. Rougue Spear/Heart of Darkness headed for Game Boy Advance.
2. Jet Pack Willy/Manic Miner headed to GBC.
3. Nintendo headed to the Tokyo Game Show (where we will see a new
GBA game.. maybe.)
4. Philip headed to bed to sleep and be much lazy. -PAW-
Oh, no! Error!
Darn! Now I give you the right url for... Viral
Speak. -PAW-
Nyko = EVIL!
Nyko got a patent
on their Worm Lights. But... I'm surprised they were able to do
that. I mean, seriously. How long ago was the Worm Light shown? It's sold
over a million units; and I'm quite sure it's over 12 months old. (Making
the patent illegal.) Also, the first patent is an abstract patent. That
is correct. But it is worded, very, very loosely. Here is the URL so you
can see the patent. What bugs me is that it's worded in a such a way that
it can be easily interpted to mean any damn thing Nyko wants.
"An illumination device that can use a white light diode in a flexible
arm plugs into, and is powered through, a utility power jack of a portable
computing device or a utility port of a portable computing device."
This is bad for companies like Mad Catz, and Pelican. (Bone Light, etc.)
Although, is the Game Boy really a portable computing device? When was
the last time you did a spreadsheet on your GBC? Also, the Game Link port
could be considered a Utility Power Jack; but it's not used that way often.
-PAW-
Who's afraid of Red Jade?
Not me. IGN Pocket did a little
article and I think it's a ruble. In other words: I think it's
a worthless coin. I'm setting my cynicism meter on 100% until I see an
actual GAME. Speaking of games.. the guy in charge of it was partially
responsable for the Atari Lynx's library of games. Which included a grand
total of ZERO RPG games. -PAW-

of the Update: "Enrich your life!"
See
the Nifty Highlight Box!
Dear Sega...
Stop with the GOODNESS..
I mean it.. I was supposed to do Viral Speak tonight.. some reviews.. and
I had previews.. but.. no... I got home, made some calls... wrote some
e-mails.. and.. clocked in seven more hours of Phantasy Star Online...
WHAT! Sega is putting a sequel out later this year? NO. Bad Sonic Team..
I want to have a LIFE... a LIFE, I tell you! The keyboard is coming in
the mail.. All my time are belong to Sega! Oh! THQ announced a bunch of
titles. Power Rangers: Time Whatever, CMX 2002, Jimmy Neutron, Scooby Doo
(Might be nifty! Let Digital Eclipse do it!), Wild Thornberrys, Sponge
Bob, Rocket Power, and Tetris World (Kay!) for the Game Boy Advance. Yeah.
Oh.. Majesco has Fortres, Iridion 3D, Pitfall, and Earthworm Jim.. Majesco
has a slighty better line-up.. I'll say. ;) Oh, EGM had screenshots and
I scanned 'em in for ya. Here's Pitfall,
and Earthworm Jim.
Yum. Oh, Nyko showed off their
products for the GBA.. I suggest you DON'T buy some of them.
Especially the Worm Light Advance; because it won't light up the entire
Game Boy Advance screen properly. It's a science thing. (Light Diffusion.)
It will leave blind spots and uneven lighting. Do you really want to miss
the target in Iridion 3D; because there was a GLARE spot where your
enemy was? It's essentially a repackage of an existing product you can
buy right now. How creative. Also, that Game Link cable they have is well....
buy the Nintendo Official ones. The Shock N Rock looks like the Neo Geo
Pocket Color one. It's an interesting device and the best in this line-up.
The AC Adaptor looks functional. Unless Nyko thinks the GBA has an AC plug
in port. Nyko has become just like Sony in terms of innovation.. and you
know what I think of Sony. Would you buy the Game Boy Advance if it were
just a vertical GBC with a wider screen? No. I expect products to upgrade,
and become better. I've already SEEN these products before and these are
just repackageing. -PAW-
Is all for you.
Here's an article that is,
essentially, a load of shipp... ing. Shipping out this week is three GBC
titles. Here's the quick lowdown.
1. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's
Winners Circle - The Dynamic Duo come out and admit they are really Equestrians.
And we're not talking in a "Fear Effect 2" way. Watch the pair ride wild
horses to victory.
2. Toy Story 2 Racer - This
racing game can give you the chance to control your Woody in racing action
that is sure to give you a buzz. Come on, Bo Peep! Ride with my Woody!
3. Magi Nation - Check out
our preview of this RPG. It's the best of these three games coming out
this week. And if you can't dig it.. you can go to Core. The battle style
is deep, and similiar to the Card Game. Loads of text, and a sarcastic
attitude. Anyways, it's the pick for this week. It's one the best games
to come out this month. -PAW-
God Save the Pikachu.
It's a well known fact in
Britain and England, that the Papparazzi weren't the cause of the Princess
Di accident. Her limo driver was just very depressed by the fact that it
takes Pokemon titles so incredibly long to make it to Europe. Anyways,
April 6th marks the Pokemon Gold/Silver invasion of Europe. There will
be 55,000 units on the launch date in Europe. So, everyone from Prince
William, to Prince Charles 57th mistress will be able to obtain a copy.
If I insulted anyone from that region.. sorry. hehehe -PAW-
We are incredibly spoiled.
Who needs GBA just yet?
Umm.. well.. we all want one; but I was just thinking.. I've been looking
over the newest Zelda titles (In Japanese of course); and I can say.. they
may look like Link's Awakening at a glance; but they beat it hands down
in the music and graphics department. You'll see, when you play them in
May. Dragon Warrior 3 is also exceedingly drool worthy, smooth attack animations
for the enemies, amazingly smart special effects, the game is just so detailed
it puts everything on the GBC to shame. I mean it. Now.. all we need is
for Shantae, Mythri, and Tyranosaurus Tex to get publishers. C'Mon US publishers!
Damn it! T-Tex is a 16 megabit cartridge. That's not that expensive. Shantae
and Mythri need 32-megabit carts; but still.. they will sell. Get some
good box art on them and they will sell. All three of these titles could
get an E rating from the ESRB. I mean Metal Gear Solid got an "E". Let's
look at something here... Magi Nation has a high retail demand thanks to
advertisements in Nintendo Power. But, Mythri, Shantae, and -recently-
T. Tex have had no coverage in Nintendo Power or other magazines like EGM,
etc. Now, here's the idea. Send an e-mail or fifty to noapulse@nintendo.com
asking for information about those three titles. Go on, do it. The idea
is to let Nintendo Power know that you want those games. Also, send FAN
ART of Kageru, Shantae, or Tex to Nintendo Power. Fan Art is the best way
to help those games. Nintendo Power has a distinct weakness for that type
of thing. Send them letters with artwork from those games and tell them
you want information on those games. Most publishers WANT to take the risk;
but don't because -simply put- they're afraid they'll lose money. If the
game is mentioned in Nintendo Power... it has a slightly better chance
of living to see release on GBC. Got it? Good. -PAW-

Hey! We got some new reviews!
Yup! I found some more reader reviews, and I -Philip Wesley, the self-styled
Hiroshi Yamauchi of the Game Boy universe- give my opinion on "Scooby Doo:
Classic Creep Capers". Umm.. go read. More tommorrow. -PAW-
