Sniff.. sniff.. O_O

I've got nearly $100 worth of prizes to give out and the rules were amended to include LOGOS as well as Mascot submissions. PLEASE enter. Chasing Ruins.
Forget Amy.. it's not like Lufia didn't have a rocky path. Anyways, Natsume has yet to confirm it to us; but we know. Lufia 3, originally for Play Station, then for Game Boy Color as Lufia: Ruins Chaser, then as Lufia: The Legend Returns has been canceled. Considering we never saw screenshots of the game, and it existed as a Mock Up box art, two character sketches and talk, it's not too heavy a loss. I would almost be willing to say it got moved the the Game Boy Advance; but that's just speculation. It was dropped for Game Boy. Oh, well. Looks like the only good RPG shipping (Late) February is Magi Nation. -PAW-

Adrock: What about a Lunar game on GBA... ?
Philip: That would be.. droolable.

We gots Chu.
Chu Chu Mice, the carnivorous little buggies... are coming to Game Boy Advance as a Japanese LAUNCH title. Sega is dropping the price of the Dreamcast to $99 and will stop supporting the Dreamcast around 2002. They will be making games for other systems. This ISN'T the end of the world. Sega didn't betray anyone. Sega means: "Service Games" and they will STILL be making games. Note that their name is "Service Games" NOT "Service Hardware". Once you get Sonic the Hedgehog Advance, Puyo Puyo, and Chu Chu Rocket for the Game Boy Advance, you'll understand. Will we see Sega games on Game Cube? Yes. I can say we will. I can't tell you WHICH games (Yet); but I can say we will. Sega will also make games for the Palm as well. Speaking of Palms. if you have a PDA like a Hand Spring, Cybiko, Palm, or Pocket PC.. those count as reviewable devices for "The Bin". Is the future dim for Sega? HELL NO! The future is brighter then ever before. Sega is doing something they will enjoy. Not worrying about a console; so they can focus on games. What about Sega.Net? It'll be around. Since there really isn't a GBC game to tide us over this month, seeing as Magi Nation won't make it's way onto store shelves until very late February and early March, why not put a Dreamcast on Layaway or buy one if you haven't. Try out that VMU, train some Chao. Enjoy yourself. Sega is the Second Best game maker in the business. (Nintendo is the undisputed best.) I can't wait to herd little blue mice on the go. Sonic will be our other blue rodent at the US launch. -PAW-

Adrock: Sonic is cool and all but he can't moonwalk. What we REALLY need is a sequel to Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on GBA.
Rest of the DMG Ice staff walks away from Adrock.
Adrock: Don't lie to yourself here folks! You know you loved that one video of his! You know, the one with the zombies?
*crickets*
Adrock: Sigh.
Philip: You mean.. those weren't Lisa Marie?

Philip got cold.
Philip very tired because of cold. Philip say.. have some MP3s... I sleep now. Philip go sleep. Sleep good. -PAW-

Adrock: I will leave you with the word "Ghettobooty".
Philip: My word is sleep.

Please send money.
We desperately beg for you to take a look at Store DMG and at Buy the Best. BUY! BUY! BUY! Yes, we mean you. BUY! BUY! BUY! -PAW-

News..?
Okay, here's some Viral Speak. Happy? Okay.. here's some bad news. Alone in the Dark for the Dreamcast (Buy one of those) and those other consoles got delayed.. so the GBC one got pushed back again. O_O I worked all day on something that wasn't for this site; but that's okay. I want to get my Mario Tennis review done.. of, Mario Tennis BEAT Pokemon Gold and Silver in sales. What can I say.. but.. Game, Set, Match. The number one selling game in the USA was Mario Tennis for Game Boy Color. I mean, seriously! Gold and Silver were 2, and 3... but STILL Mario Tennis BEAT them. Oh, I did some repair to a Game Boy this morning. My little sister's Special Edition Pokemon Yellow and Blue Game Boy Color.. the glass screen (The one outside.. not the TFT) cracked. It had a large crack in it. Yucky looking, anyways, I called Nintendo and they sent me the replacement kit with the proper Pikachu endowed screen. That's awesome. I repaired the screen. The device they send you to take the screen off is horrible. It doesn't work right, so I had to replace the screen the way I used to replace the old Brick Game Boy screens. Oh, yeah. Nothing feels better then holding up something you fixed yourself. ^_^ I'm a handy guy. -PAW-

Kies.. I back.
Been a while! Yeah, we had some interesting times.. O_O But it looks resolved! news? Sure.. I got news. ^_^ The news is.. umm. that there isn't much news. Hey, check out this site here for a remix of one of the Magi Nation tunes. Also Magi Nation's website got remixed. Also.. Shin'en has a nifty thing that Tendoproject covered and it's right here. Core Magazine got a scoop on an awesome GBA racing game. See the movie here.. ^_^ I'll have reviews and such for everyone tommorrow.. Snowflake Studios will update tonight.. and umm.. good night!

Oh.. wait! One thing. Look below on the "Support us!" thingy.. something new.. Click and see! -PAW-

Final Fantasy 4,5,6 on GBA.
Published by Sega. Wouldn't that be nice. Oh, what? I'm sorry.. didn't you hear? At AOU2001 -Think E3 for Arcade Owners- Sega announced work on an "on-line RPG" with -orchestra roll- Square. If you're thinking "Gee.. in the stupid FF11 video at E3.. didn't that one loser guy play FF11 in an arcade with that loser chick that was playing it at home with her PS2? And then that third loser joined them on his computer; before they went on a loser quest to embrace defeat at the hands of a low level boss?" Think for a second. Who has the best online console network architecture right now? Sega. Who's online architecture sucks right now? AOL... I mean.. Square's PlayOnline. Add 1 + 1 and get 2. Got it? Good. Now, let's say that Sega and Square pull off the arcade edition correctly, wouldn't it be nice if Nintendo's newest buddy "Sega" said to their new buddy "Square". "Hey Square! I heard you wanted to go ahead and re-release Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6 to Game Boy Advance; but don't have a license. We have a license. Cut us in for some profits on that and we'll see what we can do." That's merely speculative; but you see how it could happen. Stranger things have happened. Square is in the red, Sega is Software only, Game Boy Advance is launching in the USA with a Blue Hedgehog. Damn.. I love this stuff. -PAW-

Wonder about Sega?
Oh, chalk this up for the Game Boy Advance. Sega is porting Master System games to the Wonder Swan. The Master System titles are, essentially, Game Gear games. Got it? Will we ever see them on Game Boy Advance? Hopefully not; but you never know. -PAW-

Sick of all this talk about Sega yet?
In a recent Famitsu interview, Mr. Kayama (President of Sega) also said something interesting about Dreamcast. I know we are a Game Boy web site; but I found this to be nice. He said they will accept and publish freelance or garage developers Dreamcast games; "But, I don't think we will accept games that are extremely violent, or with sexual contents." I find it nice that Sega still maintains a moral stand point. That may come as a shock to people who think of Sega as "liberal". After some talk with certain Nintendo employees, I have an interesting factoid for you. The original Super Nintendo Mortal Kombat had blood. In fact, it had slightly more then the arcade. Then NOA president Howard Lincoln noticed that the games blood actually made some testers sick (!) and then approached certain congressmen (Lieberman/Kohl) on the idea of "ratings". Now, that backfired very heavily. The idea was to keep this content away from younger children that would be affected by it the same way the testers were. It was for your own good. The idea of replacing the four original fatalities and the blood with sweat was an eleventh hour decision. After Sega released the game with a code to uncensor it; Nintendo and Sega stood back, waiting to see if people could "stomach" the violence. Apparently, the public could. So, the sequel came out uncensored; but with heavy warnings. Now, Nintendo still has a high moral stand on video games. Despite "Conker's Bad Fur Day". The changes to that game came as kind of a shock to many at NOA to tell you the truth. The reason the game is allowed to come out is that it's advertisements will only be in more adult oriented magazines, and it has a limited release. You see, it's only shipping with 500,000 units. Kind of like Orge Battle was for the Super Nintendo. Conker's Bad Fur Day is a test of sorts. If it sells well, Nintendo is hoping that other companies -Sony and Microsoft- decide to put up similar products. You see, it's a strategic play. Microsoft and Sony are notorious for marketing the wrong products to the wrong demographics. So, if Sony makes a similar product, they'll market it wrong and take a lot of flack. The best way to kill a system is to get it labeled in the eyes of parents as "not for kids". After all, would you buy your eight year old a copy of Playboy? No. That's not for kids. Sega and Nintendo realize this. Also note that the M rating is overemphasized on the box for Conker's Bad Fur Day. This is purely intentional to prevent parents from buying for their children. I think Nintendo is over-estimateing the customers; but that's just me. Well, I hope you all learned something. Also, Mr. Testu Kayama said that "Sega will become a software leader, with the largest share of the software industry." Sounds good to me! Welcome aboard the Game Boy market, Sega. We love you. -PAW-

Square gleams the Digicube.
Square owns a video game distribution service company called "Digicube". Yay. Anyway, in an effort to make some sort of money, Square announced they will start selling Game Boy games via Digicube in Japan. Specifically, Enix's Dragon Warrior 3 and Dragon Warrior Monsters 2. Heh. Cute. Oh, Square owns Digicube. Does this mean something? Actually.. nope. EA is partnered with Square, and EA worked on N64 games. Did we see any Square titles there? Nope. Oh, well. We can pretend it means something though. -PAW-

Interesting.
Sega is fun. Yes, they are. You know the Saturn? Well, Sega announced that some Sega games were going to be ported over to the PSOne. The reason, according to a recent Famitsu interview with Mr. Kayama (President of Sega), is that "The Game Boy Advance didn't have enough RAM compared to the PS One." Kinda funny, the PS One was an "after thought". Hopefully, they can come up with a way to work around the limited RAM and port over some Saturn titles in the future. I want Bug!, Wild Woody, and Panzer Dragoon as much as you do. -PAW-
