How is our
E3 coverage this year? It's SQUISHY. It doesn't suck like years before it.
Instead it leaves you in the hands of or rather the tentacles of SQUISHY.
Please read on about Squishy
as our E3 coverage starts! Also, neat

Simple Smashing!
There was
a GP something error stuff, so we had down time. Sorry about that. Look!
On the right hand side is a new Viral Speak and a little The Library Update.
Oh, Squishy will be at E3 and A-Kon this year. YAY! Oh, Sega announced Sonic
Battle for GBA, it's like Smash Bros. But with Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Cream,
Tails, Shadow, Rouge, and more characters... Comment?

Capcom-o-nice.
Capcom has announced
that they will be releasing a port of the Super Nintendo Aladdin game as
well as Mickey's Magical Quest 2. Nice. Oh, for those wondering. Wing Commander:
Final Prophecy is coming to GBA and it is using the 3-D Blue Rose engine
to some nice effects. Also, Seiken Densetsu Advance for Game Boy Advance
(The remix of Final Fantasy Adventure) is being called "Sword of Mana" in
the USA. See a review or few for the original game in our Reviews section!

Pac-Man Gobbles Sonic.
Although
we would have hoped that the yellow one's preference would be Amy Rose or
Rouge; it appears that he has gone the way of Tails and is prepareing to
eat Sonic. Talks are currently underway about a merger between Sega and Namco.
We can only wonder what they will name this one. Nega? Samco? What does it
matter? It's better Namco than Microsoft if you ask me. Should be interesting
to see how this turns out. Comment?

Now we know the truth.
And behold! We are free.
Mother 1 & 2, also 3(!?)m have been confirmed by Nintendo as being for
the Game Boy Advance. Apparently, it will be out in Japan in June. So far,
it appears to be a Phantasy Star Collection Style game pak with Earthbound
(Mother 2) and the -previously unreleased in the U.S.- Earthbound Prelude
(Mother 1) game. The games appear to not be getting any type of graphic overhauls.
While upgraded graphics would have been welcome, they are not needed as the
games still look good enough to pass. Mother 3 was a 64DD game before it
was canceled and elements of it scattered abroad into games such as Animal
Crossing and Giftpia. Should be interesting. Oh, the upcoming Donkey Kong
Country is just a sharper version of the previously released Rare Game Boy
Color Donkey Kong Country. It contains an extra level and multi-player mini-games.
A bit of a waste if you ask me. Oh, well. We will see Earthbound hitting
us either this Christmas or early Spring 2004. Comment?

?WHY Y@u $@D?! P01NK!
We are sad because there
was no Mother 3 (Earthbound 2 in the USA) ever released. But, no be unhappy!
In the latest Nintendo Dream magazine (The Japanese version of Nintendo Power?)
there are stickers of MR. SATURN and cryptic messages of how it may be "here"
in 2003. Hmm? Sounds fishy or rather Earthboundy to me! Would be nice to
see Earthbound and Earthbound Zero (Mother 2 and Mother 1) on GBA.. We will
see more on Earthbound at E3, most likely. Comment?

Nintendo of Europe bloops again.
The
European branch of Nintendo, which confirmed Metal Gear Solid for the Game
Cube recently has let slip the dogs of disclosure on a few other titles when
updating their release lists. The first being a planned release of Made in
Wario in Europe. It is being renamed Wario Ware$ to match the name of the
English version and will arrive in September. The other games did not contain
information on release dates, only TBA 2003. Also on their GBA list -unless
they have already removed it- is/was Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear: Files.
Apparently Solid 2 is a new game and Files appears to be -most likely- a
port of a previous game or two. Also on the list is Super Monkey Ball Jr.
2 and Phantasy Star 4. I'm pretty much drooling on myself here and
I'm eagerly awaiting any further details... nakedly. Comment?

Fans use SING.
Nintendo
and "Pokémon Company" have announced a contest for all of the Pokéfans
who want to win a Lugia modified PT Cruiser. All you have to do is make an
idiot of yourself singing. This should not be too hard if you have spent
the last few monthes singing "Where have all the flowers gone" or "Onward
Christian soliders" at "rallies." Nintendo has details on their contest at this site
. Get Jigglypuff with it, fo' shizzle. Comment?

Golden Sun 2 censored for American release.
Golden
Sun: The Lost Age contains an interesting bit of censorship from the original
Japanese release that we should be aware of. A typical scenario that appears
in a lot of Japanese animation is an "Onsen" scene, or a bath house sequence.
Apparently the Japanese version contained a sequence in which the character
Jenna has a long dialogue while bathing alone at night. While the scene contains
no actual nudity, the implication of nudity called for the US version to
be slightly rewritten. Her dialogue now happens in a forest clearing, instead
of a forest lake. Aside from name changes, and a slightly easier learning
curve, nothing else has been altered in the game. The delays make a bit more
sense now and I'm still more than happy that the game is finally going to
be released in the US on April 21st. Comment?
