This. - Last weeks music reference was from Beck's new
album "Mutations". His album was finished April 3rd, 1998. No one guessed
it. How do you play this thing? You look at the titles of each of the little
articles. They are song names. Guess the album and band name from which
the titles are taken. Than answer the trivia question. It isn't too hard.
This weeks is pretty easy. Name the band, name the album, and name the
song with a sample of "Prelude C# Minor"? Okay, that one is a bit hard;
but once you figure it out. You'll decide it was pretty easy. ;)
Song
for the Man. - My friend Praxcelis took my old job at
Nintendojo. You see, the reason Dmg Dojo died is because Brent Childes
said it conflicted with the "style" of the rest of site. Go figure. They
changed the passwords and sent me a "Dear John" e-mail. Well, it's okay.
The new site is called "CGB DOJO" and you can find a link to it in the
"LINKS" section. I still feel a bit sad that I got cut; because I had worked
on the thing for three weeks, created graphics, upload almost 20 reviews,
put up the Pokédex 2.0, added a bunch of other cool stuff, etc.
Oh, well. At least no one changes my layout every other day here. ;)
The launch was successful. They let Prax use his
old lay-out. When I was in charge I was told I couldn't use the old lay-out
and I couldn't link back to the old site. So there was a really bad launch
of Dmg Dojo.
After I got the letter, I talked with my friends
at Nintendojo and suggested a replacement. I suggested Toadwarrior and
Praxcelis. Brent was planning to change the section to look more like GBOB;
so it became a shoe-in as to who the replacement would be; and Toadwarrior
actually declined the offer to work on his site (Some great dedication
there. Word to Toadwarrior)
Members of EAGB also asked to run the section.
But, were turned down. On an interesting note; when I was in charge one
of EAGB's staff members signed up as a European/Asian Consultant. I sent
an e-mail saying how great it would be to work with them and that maybe
we could bury the hatchet. (Eric doesn't like me. So I do not visit EAGB
anymore.) I got a reply from Eric of EAGB saying they didn't want anything
to do with me and that they quit the job. He also mentioned to me not to
add a link to EAGB from Dmg Dojo or mention any of it's staff members.
Strange, and true. That's the saga of Dmg Dojo.
The new incarnation: "CGB DOJO" is a fantastic site and is DEFINATELY worth
bookmarking. Go see it.
Flowin'
Prose. - The Library is getting pretty cool. E-Mail me
if you want me to include the Interviews in the Library. I'm thinking of
combining the Attic with AREA DMG. Or combining AREA DMG with "The Icebox".
The Jukebox may see some strange changes too. Go figure. Pokédex
2.0 returns early next year.
Instant
Death. - The rumor mills are rising and falling. Here's
some fact: Rainbox Six is confirmed for Gameboy Color, as is a port of
Bomberman RPG. Legend of Zelda 4 DX is NOT on a GOLD cartridge. More truth:
I still have yet to return that copy of Rogue Squadron to Video Showcase.
Sorry. I'm evil. (But, I am at Mon Calimari!) Here's a rumour: The rerelease
of Wario Land 2 in color has been delayed to add a new level or two. Okay.
Well, I also just beat Bomberman Pocket. Okay ending. My little sister
is drawing Pikachu again. Scary. Nintendo has been advertising Gameboy
Color on MTV, adn in most magazines like Time, Newsweek, etc. Rolling Stone
named Gameboy Color a must-have gadget of the year. :) Gameboy Power Surge
has become "Gaming Fusion". Hmm. Sounds interesting. Should be pretty cool.
And
Me - Nintendo has new pictures for some neat-o games!
Go
see them.
I
don't Know - Gratuitous Hint: They would be against bombing
Iraq. And they were at the MTV awards.
Unite
- Nintendojo. You know them! They have started a petition to "Demand a
Metroid 64 game". Personally, I would demand Mega Man 9 for N64, because
you KNOW Nintendo is going to make a Metroid 64 game. I want Bionic Commando
64, or Super Mario Bros. 3 GBC. Well, anyways. Join the fight. That's it
for now! See if you can guess the references! If you do, I'll list your
name and e-mail in the next issue; so everyone can see that you are cooler
than them. ;) |
