GAME
"Boogie"BOY and other stuff.
All
hail the King of Jiggle! Not that King of Jiggle.... pervs. Well, it looks
like Game Boy is going to be rumbling soon! Remember back in the day? (1998)
Interact announced that they would make a "Rumble Pak" - type gadget for
Game Boy? The original specs showed that it would run off the Gameboy's
sound Output. Higher or sudden noise in the Bass = vibration. Well, guess
what? Nintendo liked the idea...
So the rest is history and coming soon to a Game Boy near
you is "Pokémon Pinball" - The FIRST game to utilize portable force
feedback on a Game Boy. The cartridge has a motor inside it. Hmm. This
could be a helluva good idea with say... "A fishing game"; but "Pinball"?
Oh, well. The game will be released in Japan soon and will surely hit these
shores.
While I wonder about the "implications" of a vibrating
Game Boy Pocket or Game Boy Color; one can't help but feel that this is
going to be an interesting year for the portable. Raise your hand and than
e-mail Nintendo if you want Metroid 2 DX to have force feedback. Hmm. Force
Feedback Racing and fishing Game Boy games. On a final note; I certainly
hope that these things don't rumble TOO hard; or that clunk sound you hear
is people accidently dropping thier Game Boy Colors.
My friend (So Long) - Hmm. Pikachu returns! Yup.
Game Boy Pokémon YELLOW is headed for US shores! Transalation is
almost done and the game should be out by Spring! The differences between
the YELLOW version and the normal RED and Blue versions is that you start
out with Pikachu following you around the screen. There's a "surfing Pikachu"
mini game, new monster ratios, updated graphics, Jesse and James make an
appearence, (With Meowth.) and the game is PRINTER compatible. You can
now print out your Pokédex! Psst. I've heard rumours of Togepy in
Pokémon Yellow.. Hmm.. are they true? Missingno. and Mew may have
a new friend. Oh, characters from the cartoons are here as well. :)
Since I met you - Nintendo Power's January Bonus
Issue (Which I'm getting in the mail soon.) has a contest in the Pokémon
Power insert. The contest prize is MEW! Hmm. If you don't already own one;
enter and you too maybe one of the lucky 151 people to own Mew. Oh, the
issue should hit Newstands as early as the 10th. (Subscribers got first
crack at the contest.) Sadly, I already have a Mew. Actually, I have a
few Mew, and I gave some to my friends. Hmm. Oh, well. The official ones
might be stronger than "Sharked" ones though.
It's killing me. - Hmm. Well, do you see that box
in the left hand side? It's for those who guess the TRIVIA question in
each NEWS issue. Well, only ONE person made a guess at the reference; but
they didn't answer the trivia question. Oh, well. You have to guess the
album and than guess the answer to the trivia question. This week, the
question is easier. After you figure out the album that the little paragraph
titles reference. (The titles are song names.) Here's the question you
need to answer. "This band's newest album under the "Virgin" label is dedicated
to who? Just answer the question and e-mail me the answer. To get mentioned
as "Special".
Wanna be loved - If you went to that Game Shark
Code Creator's Club lately, you may have gotten rerouted to something bad.
It's fixed now. Rainbow 6 for Game Boy was officially announced.
The Truth - Harvest Moon and Legend of the River
King for Game Boy Color got delayed... AGAIN. Oh, well. Trivia Hint: "This
band is not a really NU THANG and recently shifted from Rap to Hardcore
Rock in just two albums. They say that luv is a verb." Game Boy Monolith
has returned! Go see that website in the Links page. You will not regret
it. Hmm. Praxcelis got some offers from people selling games "dirt cheap".
Hmm. Potential black-market Game Boy game sellers.. my e-mail is dmgice@yahoo.com.
I'm not being followed; if you want to contact me. (Dragnet theme plays..)
What? Kill that music! Hmm. One more thing. Carrot
Crazy and Twouble
are two looney Gameboy games with new Looney Sites! Click on the game names
to see the sites! This is more of a late recap. Sorry. Well, here's something
new. Congratualtions for Jeff Frohwein. He's listed in the credits of Mortal
Kombat 4 as a programmer. Wait a second. Maybe I should congratulate him..
AFTER I review the game.... (ominous music.) Well, peace and love people!
It's 1999! |
