06.28 - Quick note - Oh, the Pink DS Lite has been confirmed and will be called: "Noble Pink." Nice. Oh, if you're here from NeoGaf
for some reason, we don't update a zillion times a day; but we're not
dead! GBStation is, EAGB is on life support, Zelda HQ and the GIA are
both dead.. but.. damn I miss them. I also did some stuff for Zelda HQ.
Anyhow, I lurk at NeoGaf. And yes, N64.com become IGN64.com when
Nintendo bought the name from the Nintendojo alumni that ran it (Peer
and Matt). They used the money from the sale to start some of the
infrastructure for IGN64.com and eventually IGN. So, they got their
start from Nintendo, so they could make a self-important series of
tacky sites devoted to talking smack about Nintendo. And yes, we were
one of their affiliates. We aren't anymore, so I guess I should break
this graphic out of retirement.

06.27 - News and such! -
It's been a little bit of a while and we apologize for that. The DS
Lite ws released in the US of A, and also released in Europe. Europe
got a black color. In DS news, Final Fantasy III will use WiFi
features, the WiFi Tenchu DS will be a GameStop exclusive, and
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin may end up including a WiFi co-op mode;
but that last bit is not confirmed. The big thing is that a port of
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (with an added save feature and Sonic's ground
charge spin dash move) will debut on Game Boy Micro this November for
$19.99MSRP. Not bad! The "third pillar" may seem ill supported these
days; but it IS getting more games before the end of the year than both
the Xbox and the Game Cube! The Sony PSP is getting a gorgeous remake
of Tomb Raider 1 and a port of Tales of Phantasia this Winter as well.
There is also a bit of a rumor currently that July 20th will see the
release of a Pink DS Lite for Japan. OH NOES!!! ZOMGWTF Pink FTW! Or
something along that line. I have a lot of work to do; because of what
our next issue contains. Wanna know what the next issue will contain?
Here is a sneak peek!
- The return of two old features, now with new clothes!
- New articles from our staff.
- Our July/August issue will contain over 30+ new reviews.
- New Squishy, Dir3 Project, and Life in Puzzle wallpapers. No, really.
There's also some new content in the E3/A-Kon coverage. Rejoice!
06.12 - A-Kon HAS PASSED!
- Well, that was fun! No internet while I was there. That was bad. But
we are back, and we have pictures! Also, the next chapter of Don't
Panic. The A-Kon coverage will be up later tonight. Woo! Rejoice! The
A-Kon photos are oddly named. I know this. It's okay.
06.08 - A-Kon is coming, can I find my ticket? - Hope so! Anyhow, new article up in the coverage. More later this week!
06.03 - A-Kon is coming, did you bring your coat? -
A-Kon is my "vacation" convention! All the companies that are there
have cut and dry conferences, where I get to do some real reporting
without having to wade through lines and lines of fluff and "video game
politics." Also, I intend to get you lots of neat SQUISHY content! Why
Squishy? Well, thanks to YouTube.. I have someplace to put videos and
such. O_O To test it out, I put up a few videos of Squishy. The first
being a strange.. umm.. hand thing with Squishy.
I've been working on uploading some more stuff like that.. but YouTube
is really.. fickle and most of the stuff I have is in MOV or M4V
format.
05.29 - They start.. -
Okay. Remember that this site is divided into Bi-Monthly "issues" and
that our content takes a while to get out. The reason for this, is
because it is so delicious. Speaking of delicious.. the second chapter
revision of Don't Panic is up! Well, the thing with the revisions is
that I wanted to finish up Don't Panic.. AND I wanted to fix up
chapters in it that I was not happy with. I drastically overhauled
"Chapter Two: What To Bring And Why You Brought It" into a longer,
meaner, and more focused chapter.. The important thing is that I like
it now. In terms of actual news? There was a bit ago, where people were
saying the Game Boy was dead and I'll get into that in our E3 coverage.
Iwata came out and stated that the Game Boy is NOT dead; but right
now.. they want to shine a spotlight on the 100+ DS games coming out
between now and the end of the fiscal year, as well as the Wii. The
fact is, the Game Boy will chug along at a steady clip all the way into
2007, as it still has games scheduled into early 2007, ending close to
*gasp* May 2007. Nintendo releases a new Game Boy family iteration on a
schedule, so 2007 will be interesting. We got the GBC in 1998, the GBA
in 2001, the GBA SP in 2003, the DS in 2004, the GBM in 2005, the DS
Lite in 2006, and so on. Oh! Nintendo of Japan has announced a DS Lite
styled Rumble Pak. This should hit import stores fairly quickly and is
so worth the money. If you aren't annoyed at Reggie Fils Aime yet, he's
now the president of Nintendo of America. Here's some names he should
take: MOTHER 1 + 2, and MOTHER 3. How about it, Reggie? Or do you not
have the BALLS to give them a US release? Yes, I said it. Reggie, your
balls are too tiny because you obviously aren't man enough to push the
MOTHER games into the US market. It seems that Europe is apparently
getting MOTHER 3. They also got Asterix XXL in all its 3D goodness,
Alien Hominid, Payback, and Comix Zone. Is there much news out there?
Well, the DS Lite hits our markets real soon, so buy one. It will be
delicious.
05.26 - Where are we? -
Well, E3 came, went, and it was a lot. O_O That said, the pictures have
all been resized to more server friendly proportions, and transcripting
on a lot of our items are almost done. Please bear with it. Rumors of
our demise have been greatly exaggerated. Right now, we're just
clearing up a little bit on what we can and can not say. >_<
N.D.A.s... but it's good. Please bear with us!
05.13 - Bitter Tea - There
is a ton of new content to put up. In fact, we have a three part
interview with Atlus that will be transcribed and put on the site. (We
also have video of it. Which, will be available soon. Just.. it's huge.
Sadly, I have the worst video equipment in the world.) There are a
bunch of E3 reports we have not put up yet but they will find their way
online in the upcoming days. Finishing up some fairly detailed
impressions on the Wii for those in the want to know category. I also
beat Sonic The Hedgehog on the Virtual Console. Gonna talk about the
most evil concept for a video game at E3, lots of gameplay impressions,
and more! Working on trying to get the tons of pictures online. What
we're gonna do.. is buff together a way for you to download ALL of our
E3 images and the huge video files in a single RAR and ZIP file soon.
It's actually gotten rather.. huge... Anyhow, there shall be play
impressions for several GBA/DS/Wii titles, a few exceptional PC MMORPGs
I played through, some disturbing cell phone games, and the best
Cardboard Tube ever. Second chapter of Don't Panic will be up soon. Oh!
Apparently, Nintendo of Europe said that they will be bring Mother 3 to
Europe. Interesting..
05.08 - Nevers -
And then it hits me (slap), I've left it off my map! But you should
definately not ever forget! Anyhow, new article up! Some of the staff
has put together a top ten list of what we want to see at E3 this year.
It is fictional because some of it may not happen; but it would rock
hard if it happened. You get what I mean? Click here and then click on it. Also, the image dump is open with some new pictures of Squishy. They are sweet indeed!
05.07 - Californified - Arrived in California yesterday, and just put up the newly revamped, re-edited, and longer first chapter of Don't Panic! Click here to jump down to the coverage!
05.05 - Shine - Please click here
to see what has been added to our E3 coverage. I feel that this website
is just as personal to me as it has always been. DMG Ice has been
around for over eight years... lots of sweat, blood, and tears has gone
into the content here and the choices here. So, please read the first
bit of our E3/A-Kon coverage and relax. We're here for you!
05.04 - DS Lite Price announce! -
Quick update! DS Lite - June 11th, $129.99. Only color at launch will
be Polar White with other colors arriving at seperate dates. The
original Nintendo DS will be slowly discontinued at many retailers.
Well, we have the Wii, the Nintendo DS Lite date, and quite a few early
game announcements. What in the world does Nintendo have LEFT for us?
05.04 - It begins.. - Have
you been laying awake at night, wondering what wii were going to do
about covering E3? Well, breathe a sigh of relief; because you may now
go about your life again for a reasonable amount of time! Clicking on
that link next to the newsity title above takes you to our E3 and A-Kon
coverage! This year, I want to try and get some reasonable
coverages, so I will be employing a few free places like YouTube to
complement our coverage here. Lots and lots off pictures will be shown
and I hope to have Squishy Tales resume with E3 2006 stuff as well.
Don't Panic is back this year in a 2.0 version. I will be updating and
expanding the five chapters that have already been completed, while
working on the sixth and seventh chapters, which will now be named:
Mostly Charmless, and A Tasty Aquatic Creature of Regret. Our E3/A-Kon
coverage will have its own section after the May/June Issue is out of
circulation and this year. As for news outside of our circle here?
Majesco has apparently licensed Cooking Mama for US distribution! Yay?
I was hoping for Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, or Atlus to pick it up; but
wii will just have to deal with it. Later today, Nintendo is set to
announce the launch date for the Nintendo DS Lite. It appears to be
retailing in the USA in June for $149.95 and the older Nintendo DS
units will drop in price and be discontinued. Wii will have final
confirmation on this story when wii have final confirmation on this
story.
