Stan Lee Coming to 2016 Denver Comic Con

Iconic Creator of Marvel Super Heroes to Appear at Denver’s Premier Pop Culture Celebration in June

<>DENVER – January 26, 2015 – Denver Comic Con (DCC), Denver’s largest consumer convention and a program of education-nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom (PCC), today announced Stan Lee will be appearing at the June 17 – 19 event at the Colorado Convention Center. The iconic Lee is the co-creator of many of Marvel Comics marquee characters, including the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and the X-Men, among many others.

“It all started with Stan Lee. He’s the creator of the Marvel universe—a universe that’s inspired comic-book geeks for generations and recently captured the Hollywood spotlight with blockbusters like The Avengers and X-Men,” said Christina Angel, Denver Comic Con director. “His genius has reached all corners of pop culture. It’s a true honor to be able to bring him to Denver Comic Con.”

Lee will be signing autographs Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19 and will have a panel in the Main Events room on Saturday, June 18.

<>Denver Comic Con has quickly become one of the most attended pop culture conventions in America. The popularity is due in part because of its robust schedule of programming—more than 300 hours of sessions during which artists, creators, celebrities and industry experts talk about their craft and their creations—as well as its family-friendly mission and environment. The largest portion of the show floor, more than 9,000 sq. ft., is dedicated to teens and children with activities designed to engage kids in education through pop culture.

Lee was booked for Denver Comic Con in 2013, but was unable to attend due to other obligations.
