"The sea looks calm tonight." "I don't like it; the sky is, like, blood red and I just.. don't like that." "Don't be silly, Eliah. Red sky at night, sailor's delight." Eliah sighed, and leaned against the railing of the boat. Eliah was a young adult -as his father used to say- around age 13. He was on his grandfather's boat. His grandfather was a fisherman who lived on Sea Coast Island, just off the coast of Maine. His grandfather caught krabby and kingler for sale to grocery stores and local resturants. Eliah looked over the railing at the calm waer. "Sometimes when I see the ocean... I see my dad." Eliah's grandfather sighed and looked at Eliah. "You miss him, sport?" "Yes... I wish he would come back." "Well, sport.. I'm going to put out the anchor for the night and start on dinner. We're having goldeen." Eliah smiled and went into the ship's cabin.

"Son. Come into the water. It's okay. It's a warm day." He could feel the warmth of the sunlight bathe his face in a warm halo of warmth. "We're going back tommorrow! Better get swimming!" Eliah looked at the waves washing up on the shore carrying bits of sand back into the ocean. He looked at the figure splashing in the waves. "Dad? I'll be out in a minute!" The figure waved at him and Eliah waved back. Eliah turned around and ran toward a blanket he and his father had placed in the sand. He put his sunglasses down on the mat and heard his dad yelling. "I'll only be a minute, dad!" Eliah turned around and his eyes grew wide as he saw what his dad had been yelling about. A huge tentacle had shot out of the water. And then another and another. It was the biggest tentacruel Eliah had ever seen! Eliah watched in horror as the tentacle came down and grabbed his father. His father screamed an ear-piercing scream of pain as the tentacruel slowly crushed his body by tightening it's grip. Then the creature sunk into the waves again, taking Eliah's father with it. Eliah was stunned. He just stood there as the area where his father had gone under slowly turned a light reddish color. Suddenly, an object was flung from ocean and landed just a few feet away from where Eliah was standing. He slowly turned his head to see what it was...

"DAD!!!!" Eliah screamed. His grandfather rushed into the room and turned on the light. "You're having that dream again, aren't you." "Yes. I've had the same dream every night." "Did you see what it was this time?" "No... I woke up.. I don't know why.. I dream that...." Eliah looked at the clock. It was 1:30 AM according to the clock. Eliah sighed. And tried to get back to sleep. He barely slept that night for fear of dreaming again.

"Wake up sport! We're at the mainland!" Eliah woke up and got dressed. He rushed in to the kitchen to have breakfast -a bowl of Crispy Caterpie® cereal- and greet his grandfather. Eliah quickly finished his breakfast and went out on the deck of the boat. The day passed without event and the mainland was soon in sight. Eliah got ready for bed and went to sea.

"Why?!" Eliah awoke with a start. He was covered in a cold sweat. Eliah looked around his cabin. Everything was quiet. Just the soft sound of the ocean and a slight breeze through the window.  He slowly drifted off to sleep again. Later that day, they docked at the harbor. "Eliah! Guess what! We're going to the beach tommorrow!" Eliah cheered and hugged his grandfather. "Will my dad be there?" "Yes, of course silly." Eliah sighed a sigh of relief and the rest of the night went by quietly. Eliah slept soundly that night.

The next day, at the beach, Eliah was telling his dad about his weird dreams. "It's okay. Nothing like that is going to happen. So, don't you worry. If you want to, we can go swimming later." Eliah's dad smiled. Eliah smiled too.
