| The Yak's Den:
Cool stuff on the cutting edge
|

| Preface: |
Systems were designed so that you can play
games right out of the box without a bunch of added stuff. But in
a lot of cases, the added stuff makes the games that much easier to play,
and certainly more fun. Portable systems really need a lot of peripherals
in order for a gamer to get the most out of their experience. Lights,
batter packs, link cables, carrying cases, cartridge cases etc...
can all enhance the portable experience. In essence, this is
what "Hardwhere?" is all about.
| What's in the box: |
If there was ever a single box that contained more goodies than this one, I'd be hardpressed to find it! The best of the best all around are included:
Worm Light Diffuser light with Pass-through cable for gamelink- allows for battery-free lighting without sacrificing link play.
Link Cable- A universal Gamelink compatible cable with a 6-foot length.
Hip clip- A belt-clip for your GBC, keeps everything in place while not playing
Power Pak- a 10-hour rechargeable battery pack with a rubberized grip that makes the system more comfortable to hold
AC supply- Allows you to recharge your battery pack, or play from any AC outlet without batteries.
2 Care Cases- Nyko's rendition of
the original Gamepak case in a sampler format
| Quality of design/components: |
I've owned a lot of nyko stuff, and I've yet to have any of it malfunction.
The worm-light is an amazing piece of equipment,
and now that it has a pass through, it's that much better! The rest
of the components are standards, and I think that any GBC owner could make
good use of them.
