I like being blue and white. BUY A GAME!!!

What is this? I'm glad that you asked. Well, here's the story. From August 22nd to August 30th, the staff of Dmg Ice. (Except for "Gameboy") will be in Texas. Why? Because Philip has relatives there. So, this will be an on-line "travel log" of sorts. It looks different from the rest of the site; because it's meant to look bad. It's meant to look tacky. Well, I'll make it beautiful when I get back; but for now to make it easy for me to access on my relatives computer it will be dorky looking. I will how ever give everyone the 411 on Gameboy stuff and the trip. Sailor Mercury and I are NOT going out as some people think. It's more of I hang around with her and vice versa thing. Well, SHE isn't going to Texas with me. (Knowing chuckle.) Read about the adventures of Piky, Frenchy, Jerry the Yellow Virus, and Vuefire the Red virus. Oh, yeah. The Avardancer and Philip Wesley will be there too. It's off to triple digit land for Dmg Ice. This trip will be cool. I have to drive a lot though along barren highways. Oh, well. I also have to put up with the pool at my Aunt and Uncle's Apartment complex; but I'll survive. Does this mean no new reviews for a while? NO!! Well, Dmg Ice is a dedicated site and we love you; so we WON'T abandon you for a week like "other" web-sites. (IGN64, and PSMOnline suddenly spring to mind...) I'm not bringing my PSX to Texas. (It's too hot.) But I am bringing my Gameboy, and maybe my SNES. (I own the small version now. I'm looking for someone to buy the old one.) I have cash to burn. An open road in front of me AND I'm 18. My goodness. This thing could become a REALLY interesting read. So before anyone complains. This section is now officially PG.
TRAVEL LOGS are printed in reverse order.

Day Nine, August 30th, 1998

Drove home. 14 straight hours on the road. Must not hurt Vuefire. Got home. Went to sleep.

Day Eight, August 29th, 1998

Well, we're still here in Texas. We're driving home tommorrow. Oh, joy. Well, I have a lot of angry E-Mail waiting for me. ;) Today was dull; just some last minute packing, and I finished an editorial. I'll be back by Sunday night. Monday will see some major cool stuff. Well, everyone is back to normal. this trip has not only been a lot of fun; it has helped me realise that I hate half the staff. :) VUEFIRE! What did you do to the muffler! Went and got the cars Oil changed. Beat Kirby's Blockball. Only took me about 3 days of on and off play to beat it and find the 11th level. The last boss is a little easier then I expected. Hmm. I'll have to pick up Harvest Moon now. Well, that's it. See you later

Philip Wesley

Day Seven, August 28th, 1998

DARN I'm good. Two days ago, I said that a Hello Kitty Printer may be in the works and it was announced a day after. Did I tell everyone about my day yet? It was boring; we all went to a lake. And went to the house again. Oh, well. Here's some more on the spot rumours that you know may come true. WINBACK is a shooter for the N64; expect a side scrolling Gameboy version in the Summer 1999.
South park fans rejoice! If the N64 version does well in December; you could be playing South Park on the road by Fall 1999. I've heard that Infogenius has been called back into the shop by Nintendo. Why? A Gameboy Color exclusive organizer with Printer Compatability. But here's the catch, you can swap data and phone numbers to another organizer via the top Infrared port. When the Big N releases the Infra Link to further compatability with the printer; you can use it like a FAX machine. It can also be used for printing out sticky notes. Capcom will launch a GBC version of thier up-coming puzzle game featuring Disney characters. Ubisoft may make a Rayman game to correspond with the release of the game for PC and N64; but that's a rumour. Sword of Hope 3? Hmm. No. Sadly, the Sword of Hope series may not see another game; but a certain Detective who has a GBC sequel coming may see the release of his old NES game and a possible third game. Hmm, I feel Deja Vu. In an issue of Nintendo Power a few months ago; they let slip that Operation C will be rereleased in the Fall. Why haven't we seen it on Nintendo's list? Because it's a GBC LAUNCH title. Here's the list of Games that may make it to the launch. There's 6 of them and about four of them are rereleases. They are Tetris DX, Snoopy's Magic Show, Super Mario GBC (It's a port of Super Mario World..), ShadowGate Classics, LoZ: Link's Awakening  Special Edition, and Deja Vu 2. Well, that's the rumour bin. Speaking of rumoured games, Pitfall, and Robotron may make it to a screen near you as part of Nintendo's Retro Series. The N Sports series will be extended to
include the Gameboy games. Well, that's the dirt! Speaking of dirt...Mole Mania may recieve a sequel. I know I would like to see it; but I'm still waiting for Nintendo of America to approve of Mario's Picross 2, and Game & Watch Gallery 2. Piky came back today; looking sad. I asked what was wrong and he said he had his heart broken twice in the same week. My goodness. Where does he find these women?
Being the caring person I am; I fixed him some Hot Cocoa, and he told me all about it. Piky decided that with my help; he will get over it. Frenchy sobered up enough to offer some advice, Vuefire told Piky that he still thinks that Piky is cute. Jerry told Piky that it wasn't meant to be and that when it's time for Piky to settle down that God will lead him to the right girl. I have to drive these guys home in a small car for 12 hours. I realized that the staff of Dmg Ice is unique. Piky is a rotund little fluff ball who's cute and romantic. Vuefire is a strange apathic freak of nature with a bizzare sense of masculinity. Jerry is a great guy with good morals, talent, and a heck of a lot of social skills topped with a large helping of responsability. Frenchy is a fun-loving slacker; who probably still belongs to a fraternity. And I am Philip. That's all you need to know.

Day Six: August 27th, 1998

Where did the days go? Well, I had a pretty dull day. Went to the mall with the gang. (Except Piky. I have no idea where he went.) I thuroughly suggest Kirby's Blockball. It's like an Alleyway 2; but  MUCH better, faster, and more fun then Alleyway. I saw Harvest Moon at WaldenSoftware. I will definately pick that one up. You may also be able to get Legend of The River King. It's a game you either love or hate. I don't know yet; because I haven't played it. Frenchy got kicked out of TCBY. (The Yogurt Store.) Vuefire got kicked out of Victoria's Secret. I smacked him on the back of the neck and asked him why the heck he went in there to begin with. I mean, they sell underwear for goodness sakes. I found out that Jerry is pretty good at Tekken 3 in the Arcades. Oh, well. I can still whup his butt at Goldeneye. The rest of the day was dull. Went home, and emptied the fridge. Watched some Japanese News. They had a really interesting segment on rodent control in Japan. That was cool. It's nice to see some people still visit my
site when I'm away. When I get back; I'm going to address the CHAT PAGE with the POLLS page. (This means NEW Poll question.) You need to think about this one; it's going to ask what times would be best for Chats. I can be in CHAT anytime on Monday, Sunday, and Holidays. And from 6-10 on Weekdays
Central Time. What times are best for you? Think about it and wait till at least Monday for a new POLL. The women of Texas must have heard that I was coming. I haven't been indecently proposed since I left Kansas. (I think it was because I always had my Gameboy with me and wasn't paying attention.) Why is it that women can't just walk up to a guy and say: "Hey, your cute. What's your name, number, E-mail, etc." I think that women should carry cards with thier names and Phone Numbers. Then when they see
some cute guy (like me.), they should walk up to them, give them a card and that would be it. Sometimes I wish it was like the movies. I'll be walking from Sears to Sam Goody and suddenly across the way standing in front of Starbucks would be the girl of my dreams; then music would start playing, everything would get fuzzy and we would run to each others arms and passionately embrace. After which the evil Koopa King would open up an inter-dimensional warp and steal her away and I would have to go save her. I think that would most likely help build a solid relationship. Or a lethal virus would suddenly cause everyone around us to turn into evil zombies; which we would have to blow away with weapons that are strangely laying on the ground. (Heh. It's America.) Well, I'm done ranting. Today was not all that. Oh, well.

NEWS FLASH!!
Go to Nintendo's Japanese site! They have pictures of the new Pikachu Yellow Gameboy Printer! My guess is that a "Hello Kitty" Pink printer will be next...

Day Five: August 26th, 1998

Umm. This day was kind of boring. Went to Wal-Mart. Got a copy of Kirby's BlockBall for $5. I also went to the Base for a little while. Not much to say. I didn't do much today. Well, I am writing some stuff. I decided to do interviews of the staff. I'll interview "Gameboy" sometime after I get back. I'll also have to write some reviews for a friend. (Word to Josh Nickerson: I'll have some more reviews for you soon.) Let's face it. Sunday and Monday should be big. (Unless I run into some problems. Which I shouldn't.) I was thinking about the site and I've been taking down some ideas from the staff I have with me. Well, our random Blue Virus died. Piky came home this afternoon, absolutely drenched. I looked at him and asked him where the heck he'd been. He looked at me with a sad look in his eyes and said: "Pikooo." That word translates to "Boat sank". Wierd creature, Piky. Well, I gave Piky a couple dollars to go down to the local bar. Hey, there's no age limits for Pokemon in Texas. Piky put on his fedora and headed out the door. (Oh, course he has a fedora. It's one of those "Bogart" things.) Frenchy is still dazed out under the table. Vuefire thought it would be funny to drink milk and Pepsi. (I've now officially banned them from watching Laverne and Shirley.) Vuefire and Jerry have started watching International News. There was
a cool thing about a big drug bust off of the coast of Japan. You see, some drug smugglers have devised a new way of sneaking that crap into Japan. They would put it Air-Tight plastic bags and float it out to thier contacts. Hmm. There's some bad weather in other parts of Texas. I saw an advertisment in Wal-Mart announcing the N64's drop to $130. I noticed that the color of the controller in the picture was WHITE! Hmm. That sounds like a cool idea. I hope it wasn't an error. But a WHITE N64 controller would rule. Gameboy Color now supposedly has SGB support. That's cool. Shirley Manson of "Garbage" has a cool voice. Garbage is cool. The guy at Wal-Mart was marking the Dual Shock PSX's to $130. He gave me some of the price tags; so I can get a great deal at the Base Exchange. Hmm. Nothing like saving some money. The Infinite Veggie said that we are horrible people because we had stir fried stuff for lunch. I told him that we have to eat some stuff. He got angry. Got into his little Fiesta and drove back to Missouri. Well, now it's just Frenchy, Vuefire, Jerry, Piky, and I. That's cool. There'll be more room for our junk. The Geo Metro is still here. Well, It was a boring day. Why do people visit my site? I was wondering that. My counter is now in the 12000 range. Wow. That's pretty cool. Thank you for your support. There's another site called "Only For Nintendo" that I think you should visit. The guy who runs
that site works harder then I do. It's in the links. You should go see it. I found another Gameboy Camera page. This one is awesome. The address is in the Message Boards. Props to Dreamfire! Why? I don't know. I just felt like saying that.

Day Four: August 25th, 1998

I went to the mall today; and it's pretty nice actually. I brought my Gameboy Camera and a Game Link Cable. They let me hook my Gameboy up to the display model at Babbages. I now have those three pictures I was missing from Album B. (The Transfer ones.) That was cool. Well, I bought a really cool imported control pad for my SNES. It's made by Capcom. It got it for $5. Well, I was skimming through the list of up-coming retail items and I can't believe I didn't see this coming. By Christmas, You could have a completly different screen on your Gameboy Pocket. Yup, the designer "cool screens" are coming back. I wouldn't buy one though. These replacement screens are nice; but they scratch easy and lose thier glue real fast. I have one on my old Gameboy. They also void your warrantee. So resist them. They'll hit some places around October. Shadowgate 64, and South Park 64 have December release dates at WaldenSoftware. I bought the Capcom controller at WaldenSoftware. They also sell Import Saturn games. I asked about Import Gameboy stuff, and they didn't know the answer to that. I also noticed that "Pokemon" was no where to be seen on thier retail list. I guess that this store won't be stocked with it. Because you can't preorder it. I saw that movie "Dr. Dolittle" at the Base Theatre. It only cost me $2. That's cool. Well, my Aunt and Uncle only have one phone line and my Uncle is a First Sergent so I can't always update at night; so bear with me here. This place is cool; but Piky hasn't come home yet. I wonder where he could be. I decided to make the staff I have with me: Frenchy, Jerry, Vuefire the Red Virus, Piky, The Infinite Veggie, and a random Blue Virus write some thoughts on the trip. I'll have them write those later. I've written about six reviews, and one editorial. I discovered my Uncle's Led Zeppelin CDs. I've probably heard "Stairway to Heaven" a million times now. "And she's buying a stairway to heaven." I'm going to be humming that dang song forever now. Well, it isn't bad. I also listened to a bunch of his Mariah Carey and Celine Dion cds. Mariah has a great voice. That "Music
Box" cd is great. I'll have to get that. Speaking of CDs; "Back to Titanic" and "Jock Jams 4" are out now. Alanis Morissette has a new album out soon as well. All three come highly recommended. I saw a box set that I must have. It was a trunk really; but it was Metallica. Cool. I'll have to get the name and pick it up someday. Well, I'm going to say good-bye for now. Frenchy is now sitting there completely strung out on popcorn. (Yuck.) Vuefire, Jerry, and the Infinite Veggie are starting a game of Poker. The random Blue Virus is in the microwave. Oh, my god! They killed the Blue Virus! Guys! How could you do that! Now, we have less people to worry about on the trip! Wait a second. I forgive you guys. But DON'T let it happen again. I have dibs on the virus's socks. I'm trying to decide whether or not to try growing a goatee again. Last time I grew one; it was a little short; but it attracted girls. Hmm. Maybe I should. I've got a few days left. Today was all about the drunk monkey. Naw, today was all about that cute girl at Babbages that let me steal her picture from the in-store Gameboy Camera Display. Naw, it's about the babe at the pet shop. Oh, heck today is about Blue Virus Burgers. I got it now, TODAY is about The Photographic History of the Civil War! Whatever. Oh, I got to play Samurai Shodown 64 at the arcade. It's good. The other sites have reported more information about the Gameboy Color. They have Screenshots and Information like confirmed SGB support.. might be wrong.

Philip Wesley

Day Three: August 24th, 1998.

I woke up today and Piky was hogging up the bathroom. The really bad thing was that he came out with a strange look in his eyes, and he smelled like fruit. Go figure. Well, Piky left and I lounged around the house. I then packed in all of the rest of the staff; except for Frenchy who was fixiated on a Golf broadcast. Go figure. Anyways, I must say. EVERYTHING is big-arse in Texas. I mean it. The base has TWO PX's. One is JUST for electronics! My land, that is cool. And I must say, everything is big, and somethings are straaaange. I mean, the traffic lights are horiziontal, and the Soda bottles look like little lava lamps. Ft. Worth could fit Whiteman AFB in it's commissary. My goodness. Well, I discovered that Target, and Toys R Us are in walking distance of the house; so I mosey on down there and I saw a great selection of stff. Did you know that there is a "Sega Genesis 3". It was only $30! My goodness. I want it. I mean, why not? I also saw a Walkman with Nintendo's official seal of Quality on it! Since when did Nintendo make Walkmans? Then I checked the specs and license stuff on the back. It scared me. It was made by Sony, and distributed by Nintendo. That was wierd. Well, there's some malls in walking
distance too. Heh. heh. I won't be bored anymore. I picked up some $6 sampler CD at Target, it's good. It has Sublime, Cherry Popping Daddies, and more! It was cool. And tommorrow is going to be cooler! I hope. Well, I'm the only one without a sunburn. Well, Piky doesn't have one. He still isn't back, Where did he go? I swear that critter is pretty independent. Well, my dad said I have about 20 messages. Thanks guys. Use the other E-Mail shown below for a little while, please. Well, if you are sending
Contest Submissions, use the normal address.

Day Two: August 23rd, 1998.

Well, I slept on the couch and woke up around maybe 12:30; then everyone decided to go to the pool; so I went to the pool. That was fun. Well, the pool has this EVIL gate in front of it that you have to hold back when you go in or it will hit you. I named it Bill. Bill the gate. Of course Bill is evil. Well, after that, I went home did a few reviews for the site; but I still haven't figured out how to "FTP" them up to the internet. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to flood the site with a bunch of reviews. I did one for Final Fantasy Legend 3, and Ducktales. Well, Piky disappeared for a while. I don't know why. Then Vuefire, Jerry, and Frenchy decided it would be fun to see who could get the best coffee high. That was not a smart idea. I got a headache, proclaimed that Texas is sort of boring, and took a long nap. Well, I did get to watch a lot of syndicated sports; and I have to some how trick my relatives into letting me go to the Golf Course. Hmm. Golf would be fun. I discovered a VERY funny comedian named Bill Engwall or something like that. So I made The Infinite Veggie wear a sign. Well, today was boring. And I hope that tommorrow won't be. Where do all of the women hide? My land, I haven't seen anyone my age around here yet! Where does Texas hide it's women? Well, I have time now to play my large collection of Gameboy games. I figure that if I write one or two Reviews a day; I should be okay. Hmm. I think I'll write an editorial as well.

Philip Wesley

Day One: August 22nd. 1998.

I got here after a long 13 hour drive. (I could hurt my sister...) Well, not much to report today on Gameboy stuff. This crazy Road Trip is on, word. Well, it's gonna be good. The driver tip today is: "The big green Mayflower Truck is NOT your friend." I was scared to death today. I saw a Taco Bell that DIDN'T carry Gorditas! EEK! Well, Piky got motion sickness. Frenchy got his toungue stuck in the hand dryer at "Texaco". (I didn't ask.) My relatives use America Online. Hmm. Well, I'll start working on reviews or checking out the local female assets. Went through Kansas, Oklahoma, and most of Texas. My relatives live near Ft. Worth. and we went through Waco, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Wichita, and a bunch of other over-rated places. I picked up some lousy pins. Well, the first day is uneventful. :) But, tommorrow may be even better. Jerry the Yellow Virus pointed out that there are MALLS and electronic store in walking distance of the house. Heh. heh. Wonder what I'll do tommorrow..
