Squishy will see many things this year at A-Kon. But this is what Squishy really hopes to see at A-Kon 18:
AWESOMENESS.
So, here is a list of twenty costumes from various anime, games, and books that Squishy knows he will not see at A-Kon; but wish with all his little heart that he would. There are a lot of things being referenced and the links to show them all off would be staggering indeed. So, just google or yahoo these things! Keep Safe Search ON though.
Squishy's List!
1. Ultimate Weapon Chise - It would be way to easy to do Chise in her normal fashions as a cosplay choice; but a true cosplay fanatic NEEDS to do this right. Wings? Check. Gun Arm? Check. Forlorn look? Check. Personally, Squishy just wants to see an awesomely made gun arm. Or even better, the elaborate larger wings Chise develops later in the series.
2. Natsuki Sasahara - The main character from Hyper Police should be a NO BRAINER for cosplay fanatics; but I have seen nothing from Hyper Police ever in over four years of A-Kon. I am CRY. Give Squishy some Nekomata love!
3. Toph - While not considered to be anime by some of the snobbier anime fans, the blind earth bender girl from Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite character and deserves some respects. Avatar is also better than 70% of the crap Japan has been putting out in the last few years. Give me Aang and pals over "The Bartender," "Beet: The Vandel Buster," or "Air Gear" anyday.
4. Iria - The hero of Zeiram the Animation, or Iria the animation. Oh, seriously. Zeiram would be awesome too as a companion costume idea. Seriously, there needs to be much more love for this anime. The hair beads, the armor, the awesomeness, and the drama!
5. Padudu - The amazing heroine of Magical Play. She travels Sweetland with Uokichi, her delicious fish suit. Hell, if someone did MyuMyu cosplay from this same anime, it would be awesome.
6. Oasis - A character from long running and still pretty awesome online comic: Sluggy Freelance. The best version of Oasis would have to be the version of her from The Fire And Rain storyline where she goes after Zoe.
7. Liru - The Werewolf girl from Renkin 3-kyu Magical? Pokahn! Well, aside from Aiko, she is my favorite character from this show -which sadly- remains unlicensed to this day.
8. The Pale Man - Pan's Labyrinth is so awesome. If someone could pull off this in cosplay.. I would be very happy indeed. Freaked out; but happy.
9. Ai - The main character of Video Girl Ai. This is one of those sorely neglected anime that REALLY deserves a good rerelease onto the market. Truly.
10. Parin - The main heroine from Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure. Which, coincidentally, is an awesome port of an old PC game for the PSP. They figured they were selling too much of it on the PC, so they HAD to stifle the games sales by porting it to such a lesser handheld. Still, awesome game.
11. Ghaleon - The enigmatic and charismatic Ghaleon is in Lunar: Silver Star Story AND Lunar: Eternal Blue. He is also quite the awesome character, dear Quark. All hail one of the best villans ever, ever. Sephiroth is just a WHORE.
12. COOKING MAMA - The game is Wario Ware meets The Food Network and the title character is the best thing since Rachel Ray's cleavage! Not that a little red Squishy like myself has any interest in wrapping my tentacles around ummm.. this has gone awry. MAMA WILL FIX IT!
13. A GIANT ENEMY CRAB - It is never too late to make fun of Sony. Maybe the giant enemy crab could carry the head of a goat for extra effect? Well, that IS living!
14. Serene - From Riviera: The Promised Land for the Wonderswan, GBA, and soon the PSP. Well, Cierra would be good too. Especially if they make some of the neat weapons from the game.
15. The Original Dirty Pair - Kei and Yuri never get cosplayed anywhere as near as they used to in a long, long ago in my imagination.
16. A PERFECT BELLDANDY - There are no perfect ones. None at all, this is a tragic happenings.
17. Ryoko - From the Tenchi series. What you ask? You do not see her anywhere? Yes, she has become very rare and this is also sad. Very sad. It brings little salty tears to my dinner plate eyes. Sad. Sniff. Sniff. I wish Inuyasha never existeds. It takes away from such more awesome shows being cosplayed.
18. Angie - From TRAUMA CENTER. Yes, Trauma Center is such good stuff; but Pheonix Wright gets all the cosplayers. Noes! This can not be! Show some love for Derek Stiles, and crew people!
19. Elphaba - From the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire, we all know her as The Wicked Witch of the West; but seriously people... is this really such a stretch? Come on! Thousands of nerds and there HAS to be some wonderful love of either Broadway or subversive books!
20. Katy the Kat - Her human form from the first Unico Movie. Knowing the song also helps. So sing along! YAY! I will put the lyrics here.

Yes. These are all the cosplays I wants to hope and dream of seeing at A-Kon. If not those, then gimme something along the lines of "ZOMBIE AERITH BACK FROM THE GRAVE!" Complete with rotting gray flesh. That would be funny! Although I get the sad feeling that the show will be swamped with BLEACH, Haruhi, and Death Note Characters. Maybe I should put those on permaban? Naw! I am a free love Squishy! YAYS!
